The successful candidate will lead the delivery and development of Brake's fundraising events programme, driving participation, engagement and income generation. The portfolio includes Brake's flagship fundraising events, such as The Big Tea Brake and annual black-tie dinner, a series of digital fundraising challenges, and the management of third-party challenge events.

The role is responsible for creating exceptional supporter experiences, growing event income and building lasting relationships with participants, sponsors and stakeholders to help raise vital funds for Brake's work supporting road crash victims and campaigning for safer roads.

You are an experienced events professional with a track record of planning, delivering and growing successful fundraising events. You are confident managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality events that achieve participation, income and engagement objectives.

You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, supporters and external partners, while also being confident working independently and using your own initiative. You are highly organised, solutions-focused and resilient, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. You bring: 

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in event delivery in a fast paced, target driven environment
• Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating multiple events simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard;
• Experience of fundraising events, challenge events or participation-based campaigns, with a focus on achieving income and participation targets;
• Experience of using data, reporting and insight to monitor performance, identify opportunities and improve results;

Role Overview

We are looking to appoint three Programme Officers, who will be responsible for supporting programme delivery and programme operations at the Reach Foundation. 

We have 3 vacancies across our portfolios of work:

Role 1: Programme Officer (Leadership)

This includes our x100 programmes across the West, East, Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, our leadership programme with A Million Realities, and newly established place based leadership programmes for heads and executive leaders.

Role 2: Programme Officer (Cradle-to-Career)

This includes our Cradle-to-Career catalyst, foundations and leadership programmes (which are each distinct phases of our Cradle-to-Career core offer), our Accelerator programme, and a number of bespoke Cradle-to-Career catalyst programmes run directly for partner organisations. 

Role 3: Programme Officer (Educational Breakthroughs)

Helping to launch our newest strand of work, developing and growing ‘educational breakthroughs’ that enable all children to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity. This will include delivery of existing elements of our ‘breakthrough portfolio’ (Languages for All, developing mapping/ data tools to support local breakthroughs, re-imagining key stage 3 for Lift Schools) and supporting new clients as we begin partnerships with them. 

Each role has a distinct portfolio of programmes you will support, but the duties, skills and capabilities required for each role are aligned. We expect the three Programme Officers to work together closely to ensure consistency of delivery across our work, to share learning and to develop a community of practice. 

You will work closely with the Directors responsible for each programme, alongside our Events and Operations Officers, who work across all programmes,  to ensure our programmes are planned and delivered to a high standard. 

The role of the Programme Officer has three core areas of responsibility:

1. Programme Planning and Project Management

• Project manage multiple, simultaneous programmes across the portfolio with rigour. Work with other programme managers to embed consistent programme management across our organisation. 

• Work with the Events and Operations Officers to complete the annual calendar-setting process, setting event dates and key programme milestones. Ensure all events are appropriately staffed. 

• Utilise Asana to monitor project milestones, proactively identify off-track delivery risks, and lead status updates during programme meetings to ensure timely intervention.

• Champion the use of HubSpot (CRM) and set up progress dashboards alongside evaluation colleagues.

2. Programme Delivery

• Improve (or establish) processes that ensure that every participant on our programmes has a great experience from the moment they find out about us, to when they exit working with us. 

• Manage the main programme inbox, serving as the responsive, warm, and professional first point of contact for routine enquiries from participants and external partners

• Coordinate regular, high-quality programmatic communications (e.g. programme blasts or event invites) to keep participants informed and engaged throughout the year. You may author these, or work with others to ensure they are circulated in a timely manner.

• Ensure all programmatic data collection is in line with GDPR guidelines.

• Support in programme administration tasks, such as preparing papers for steering group meetings, taking minutes and circulating actions. 

• Actively participate in cross-organisational reviews, sharing delivery insights in order to improve the quality of our work. 

• Programme-Specific Deliverables: 

Participant Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end application and onboarding journey for new programme cohorts, including coordinating assessment or sign up windows, distributing welcome materials, and managing intake data. 

Coaching Offer Management: Act as the end-to-end operational lead for the leadership coaching offer, managing coach-matching logistics, scheduling, and tracking completion rates.

Contract and Agreement Tracking: Administer the distribution and tracking of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring signed copies are received prior to delivery. 

3. Stakeholder and Relationship Management

• Coordinate the operational onboarding of new bespoke partners, guiding both internal and external senior stakeholders through this initial phase

• Invest deeply in building strong, warm, and respectful relationships with senior external stakeholders across identified bespoke partnerships, acting as a point of contact for any queries and ensuring excellent customer service

• Develop strong relationships internally, particularly with Regional Directors or Breakthrough Project Leads , providing them with regular progress updates, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations ahead of key delivery milestones.

• Actively collaborate with fellow Programme Officers to share operational learnings, standardise delivery templates, and build a supportive internal community of practice.

The Community Engagement & Support role is about providing greater sustainability and resilience for the Fahr’s Disease community and Fahr Beyond as a charity. The post holder will be building the capacity for Fahr Beyond to provide support for people living with Fahr’s and their families through creating a volunteer network that can provide an ongoing fortnightly support group. Additionally, through working with other organisations, the post holder will develop more support pathways and opportunities for patients; this is envisioned as strategic work within the Parkinson’s and Dementia space.

This post will also play a key role in bridging Fahr Beyond’s work with the community and medical professionals to develop awareness of Fahr’s Disease.  

What will you do in the role?

Volunteer Mobilisation & Management

• Support the development of a volunteer strategy for Fahr Beyond
• Actively manage the establishment of a volunteer network utilising prior expressions of interest, and you will support the onboarding of volunteers
• The main point of contact for volunteers and help resolve matters they may have

Engagement & Communication

• Monitor and respond to incoming correspondence to Fahr Beyond, along with assigning any actions for response to the appropriate volunteer
• Support the trustees and volunteers with managing Fahr Beyond’s social media

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Key Details:

What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
• Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.
• Design and deliver segmented supporter journeys across individual giving, regular giving, appeals and stewardship activity.

• Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences (faith-based, secular, and younger donors). 

• CRM and Data: Confident user of a fundraising CRM, able to manage data, segment supporters and use insight to inform decisions.

As a Community Builder, you will work with members of the Armed Forces Community, particularly those who may face barriers to participation or engagement.

A Community Builder is a relationship-led professional who brings people together, builds trust, strengthens local networks and supports communities to take action on the things that matter most to them. 

In this role, you will be actively visible and present within your local community, building trusted relationships and supporting conversations that help people connect and collaborate. 

You will facilitate conversations with veterans, local residents and community groups to understand local strengths, interests and priorities. You will connect people with shared interests and ideas, helping to build collaboration and encourage community-led action. You will support community ideas to develop into practical activities, projects and opportunities, and you will work with local organisations and partners to strengthen community networks. 

This role brings together community engagement, facilitation and partnership working to create meaningful, long-term impact.

About You  

We are looking for someone who is motivated by working with people and passionate about helping communities connect and thrive. 

You may already have experience in community development, or come from a background such as housing, social care, education, youth work or the wider charity sector. What matters most is your ability to build trusted relationships, engage people effectively and support collaboration that leads to positive change. 

You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trust, inspire action and work effectively with a wide range of people and organisations. You will also be comfortable working independently, managing a varied workload and developing strong working relationships across different groups.

We are looking for someone with:  

• A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.

• An awareness of (or willingness to learn) Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) – an approach focused on building on the strengths, skills and connections already present in communities. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action.  

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.  

• Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills. 

PLEASE NOTE:  

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered).  The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.  

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.   

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. The GAMH Research, Policy and Advocacy Officer is a new post that will play a central role in advancing GAMH’s global policy and advocacy agenda, helping to strengthen and elevate the focus on the health and wellbeing of men within national, regional and global policy environments. The postholder will design and deliver policy advocacy initiatives, generate high-quality research, write reports and publications, support project coordination, engage stakeholders and partners, and support communications to influence decision-makers aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for men and boys within a gender equality framework. The position will work across all GAMH workstreams, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programmes.

This exciting new role will is being created at a time of organisational expansion and growing interest in men’s health worldwide. It will require attendance at meetings in London and the South East of England and occasional European/international travel will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy Advocacy and Campaign Development

• Develop and contribute to GAMH’s policy positions and advocacy on key men’s health issues, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and HPV.
• Monitor and analyse key policy developments relevant to men’s health and the work of GAMH across prevention, early diagnosis, screening, treatment, and support.
• Support the design and delivery of advocacy strategies and campaigns targeting policymakers, professional societies, international non-governmental organisations and other international bodies.
• Support coalition and network building by GAMH to strengthen policy responses on men’s health.
• Prepare policy briefings and advocacy materials.

2. Research, Analysis and Writing

• Conduct and synthesise research on men’s health issues, including policy analysis, epidemiology, and literature reviews.
• Write high-quality accessible reports, evidence summaries, position papers and publications to support GAMH’s work.
• Identify relevant gaps in policy data and evidence relating to men’s health. 

3. Project Coordination and support

• Manage the development of a European Men’s Health report.
• Play a leading role in, and support, the development of GAMH’s Global Prostate Cancer Initiative and wider work on prostate cancer policy.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of other GAMH projects, as necessary.
• Contribute to funding proposals and reporting to donors.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

• Support the strengthening of GAMH engagement with national men’s health networks and its members, particularly in Europe.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across each of the relevant GAMH workstreams, including policymakers, non-governmental organisations, UN agencies, academics and researchers, patient organisations, professional bodies, advocates and industry.
• Represent GAMH at meetings, conferences, and events (as required).

• Support the dissemination of GAMH reports, campaigns, and advocacy outputs.
• Support launch event/s of GAMH and initiatives and reports.
