As Director of Community Partnership (Engagement & Compliance Support), you will ensure that Progressive Judaism communities are confident, compliant and well supported in areas including governance, safeguarding, HR and communications.

Job description

Main purpose of role

To oversee the charity’s financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting and robust controls. The Senior Finance Manager provides insight to support strategic decision-making, maintains compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and manages day-to-day finance operations to safeguard the organisation’s financial health.

In addition, as part of a small team, the Senior Finance Manager provides light-touch HR support to assist with processes – such as appraisals, payroll and staff records — helping to ensure smooth operations in the absence of a dedicated HR function.

Key tasks – finance

• Ensure accurate recording of information of various funding (industry, donations, memberships etc), spending, banking 

• Manual bookkeeping and liaising with Accountants in the UK and in Belgium to ensure data is uploaded correctly to Sage (or similar software) 

• Monthly month end checks on Sage and accurate nominal coding, working with PE’s appointed accountants 

• Raise invoices and credit control

• Accounts payable & expenses process including employee and freelance pay

• Managing all aspects regarding employee pay – working with PE’s appointed payroll agent, pension provider and insurance broker

• Year-end work – including checks and liaising with PE’s appointed accountants

• Charity Commission – completion of annual return

• Donations – check and manage paypal and other donation platforms accordingly

• Management of all PE bank accounts and all aspects regarding bank matters – i.e unknown payments, bank applications for new card holders, transaction queries etc

• Financial reviews with Director General and Operations Director, and to provide accurate information in regards to forecasting, funding, spending, general P&L and other financial matters

• Perform monthly cash-flow forecasting to ensure the 4-month reserve policy is maintained at all times

• Support and liaise with the Operations Director and Partnerships Director with all treatment industry/funding agreements 

• Maintain the organisation’s Contract Register, ensuring all agreements (i.e., treatment iindustry partnerships) are tracked for payment milestones

• Holiday and sickness tracking

• Liaise and support the Operations Director with regards to various policies (i.e expenses, bereavement)

Essential skills and experience

• Minimum five years’ professional experience in an accounting or finance role, supported by a relevant accounting qualification or significant demonstrable experience. Prior experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable. Experience or comfort managing cross-border EU-UK financial complexities is a plus.

• Experience of preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and year-end reporting

• An understanding of charity finance requirements (e.g. charity accounting, Charity Commission obligations)

• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar) and MS Office (especially Excel)

About the role

The role is to lead the work of Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, working with a small skilled staff team and a range of volunteers and other community stakeholders. In particular, you will share our commitment to embed user engagement and community development at the heart of the Healthwatch service model, empowering user voices and improving access to health services.  We are looking for someone who can bring a thorough understanding of the health system and project management with the ability to deliver results quickly including  leading on the planning and delivery of targeted projects, supporting a diverse and varied engagement programme, and building relationships with a range of strategic partners. The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.

The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. The role works closely with member organisations (MOs), regions, and speciality groups to enhance governance practices, ensure policy alignment, and support coherent decision-making across the global network.

The role also contributes to organisational direction by actively participating in the development and implementation of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan and supporting alignment with regional and other strategic plans.

1. Governance leadership and oversight

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee all governance functions and activities across World Physiotherapy.

Overview

The Premier League Foundation is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Grants and Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. As a key member of the Central Operations team, you will help ensure the Foundation operates as an effective and efficient charity by maintaining robust, high‑quality grant‑management processes. Working closely with the Head of Governance and Operations and the Senior Impact and Insight Manager, you will oversee all grant‑making activity, from application through to monitoring, reporting and end‑of‑grant procedures. You will ensure that grantees comply with funder requirements, and that our grant‑making practices reflect, promote and continue to evolve in line with sector best practice.

You will collaborate closely with the Programmes Team and the Impact and Insights Team to ensure they have the tools and frameworks needed to monitor grant delivery and performance in line with Premier League programme expectations and funder requirements. Supported by the Governance and Grants Executive, you will track how funding is used, ensure grant conditions are met, and lead the ongoing improvement of grant‑making systems and processes.

A core part of the role will be leading the development and implementation of the Capability Code of Practice — a governance framework designed specifically for the unique needs and context of professional football club charities. You will ensure the Code continues to evolve with governance best practice and will work directly with Premier League club charities to create regular opportunities for sharing good practice, supporting them to achieve full compliance with the Code and to strengthen their effectiveness and efficiency as charitable organisations.

Working alongside the Head of Governance and Operations, you will also help ensure the Foundation maintains strong governance and operational excellence, including our own compliance with the Code and ongoing improvements to internal systems and processes.

Who we are

The Premier League Foundation was established in 2010 to distribute funding provided by the Premier League and its partners to professional football club charities across England and Wales, supporting them in their delivery in thousands of community venues and schools across the country. A total of 106 club charities are supported across the Premier League, English Football League, and National League.

More than 2.5 million individuals have benefitted from the charity, which aims to foster positive sporting, health, personal and education opportunities for children, young people, and the wider community.

The role

• Oversee the Premier League Foundation’s grant management function, ensuring timely, high-quality and consistent processes for grant assessment, approval, delivery, monitoring and reporting.
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of grant-making processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Provide advice and support on the design and development of application and grant-making processes for new programmes and funds.
• Work with the Head of Governance and Operations and the Finance team to support grant payment processes, including quarterly grant payments as required.

• Oversee the development and implementation of the Capability Code of Practice and the Capability Audit process, working collaboratively with funding partners and key stakeholders to assess the governance and management arrangements of funded organisations, and to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the network
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the 20 Premier League football club charities to ensure compliance with the Capability Code of Practice, providing tailored support, advice and guidance to aid the effective implementation of their Capability Action Plans

Vale House is a not-for-profit Dementia Care Home specialising in the highly skilled care required for people who have complex needs arising from dementia. Its specialist care is much sought after and is provided in a light bright building which was purpose built in 2012 just outside Oxford, between Littlemore and Sandford-on-Thames. We are a growing charity with an annual income of £3.5m with a diversified funding portfolio including grants, donations and trading income with a mix of restricted and unrestricted funds. This is a new part‑time role within Leukaemia UK’s Finance & Resources team and forms part of a planned transition from an outsourced finance model to a fully in‑house finance function. The role has been created to strengthen internal finance capability and resilience as the organisation prepares to deliver its newly approved five‑year strategy from 2027.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work with staff and volunteers at our established Christian recovery charity in Berkshire. You will provide direction, support and oversight on all aspects of HR management, including: recruitment; staff supervisions and appraisals; compliance with employment regulations; training; performance and talent management; grievance, disciplinary, and capability procedures; salary structure and employee benefits; and organisational personnel planning.

We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities.

​As a small charity (c. 43 salaried staff and casual workers, plus volunteers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with management responsibilities.
