Your new role

This Finance Business Partner will be the lead for reporting on Building Safety.

• Provide finance business partnering support and act as the finance lead for building safety reporting, ensuring robust insight around legislation, regulation and remedial programmes.
• Enhance the quality, clarity and impact of building safety financial reporting by producing timely analysis, insightful commentary, and linking financial performance to strategic objectives.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for building safety, preparing accurate annual budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with operational directors, service managers and other budget holders.
• Build strong, effective relationships with budget holders, supporting their understanding of financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and value-for-money requirements.
• Oversee the monitoring of budget changes, ensuring service budgets are incorporated into group reporting, and continually review systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support team leadership by guiding management accountants, providing training and coaching, contributing to workload planning, and acting as deputy to the Head of Financial Business Partnering when required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full CCAB/CIMA qualification or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience within the Social Housing sector, ideally building safety or maintenance
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
• Strong skills in management accounting principles, budgeting and forecasting

My client is a small London-based charity.
Your new role
The role is for 12 months. Duties will include:
SALES LEDGER
Monthly invoices for existing and new clients (multi-currency)
Issuing credit notes when required.

CREDIT CONTROL
Monitor overdue debtors on a weekly basis and follow up with respective accounts departments.
Issue reminders as per the credit control policy.
Building client relationships and resolve queries.
Maintain and update debtors reports, including monthly analysis of aged debtors.
Update Salesforce regularly with finance information and email communications.
PURCHASE LEDGER
Raise / post and process invoices
Deal with purchase orders (multi-currency).
Purchase invoices on a daily basis.
Process employee and contractor expenses, with claims submitted accurately, within policy guidelines
Purchase invoices for sign-off and payment, ensuring all signing limits and authorisation requirements are adhered to.
Payment runs - twice per month

MONTH END TASKS
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepayments and accruals.
Journal postings.
Cashbook posting and bank reconciliations (GBP/EUR/USD/CAD).

In order to succeed, you will need previous experience in finance as well as strong systems skills. The client is looking for someone who is studying for a professional qualification.

Your New Role

This is a new role added to strengthen the Financial Accounting team from a tax perspective, assisting in the delivery of high quality financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead on tax, ensuring preparation of tax returns including VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, Gift Aid and Employment Taxes.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Manage relationships with internal and external advisors and tax authorities, as required.
• Support the Group with ad-hoc tax and technical accounting queries.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Full CCAB or CIMA qualification (or equivalent). Essential.
• Experience with core tax areas such as VAT, CIS or Corporation Tax and the ability to interpret legislative changes.
• Strong financial accounting experience gained in practice, industry, or the public/not-for-profit sector.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with reconciliations and supporting month-end activities.

Desirable:

• Experience preparing group or consolidated accounts.
• Prior exposure to operating in a public or not-for-profit environment such as housing, local or central government, or wider public services.
• Experience supporting external audit processes.

Our client is a large, complex organisation operating in the not-for-profit sector, with a diverse portfolio. With an annual income exceeding £100 million, the organisation is undergoing significant transformation to modernise its finance systems and improve service delivery.

The team is currently engaged in a major transformation programme, including system upgrades and process improvements. The JobT

his is a senior interim leadership role within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function. As Head of FP&A (Finance Business Partnering), you will:

• Lead a team of five Finance Business Partners, ensuring consistent and high-quality financial support across the organisation
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
• Drive improvements in reporting tools, templates, and processes
• Support the Head of FP&A and collaborate with other senior finance leaders
• Lead on business-as-usual change initiatives, including internal audit actions and risk mitigation

The successful candidate will become part of the Project Development Group, supporting project development (finding funding sources, project design, proposal development) in all regions, helping CABI staff to articulate project ideas, develop logical frameworks and budgets, and ensuring that monitoring and evaluation, as well as important aspects such as gender perspectives, climate change and youth are addressed in CABI project proposals, during the project design/scoping phase.
