About the role

This is a unique opportunity to lead a well established, community rooted women’s organisation with over 40 years of history. As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight and external representation, working closely with a committed Board of Trustees.

You will balance long term strategic thinking with hands on delivery, ensuring the organisation remains financially sustainable, well governed and responsive to the women it supports.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering a clear organisational strategy aligned to the charity’s mission and values
• Leading, motivating and supporting a small, dedicated team
• Ensuring strong governance, safeguarding, compliance and operational systems
• Support high quality, person centred service delivery and impact through strategic oversight and delegation. 

• Leading income generation across trusts, foundations, corporates, earned income and individual giving also including pitching to major donors and relationship building with communities

• Managing budgets, financial planning and organisational resources
• Acting as an ambassador and advocate, building partnerships across local VCS and local authorities
• Raising the organisation’s profile, influence and reach locally and beyond

About you

You will be a confident, emotionally intelligent leader with senior level experience in the charity, community or related sectors. You are values led, collaborative and motivated by social justice, with the ability to inspire others and lead effectively through complexity.

Experience in community services, welfare advice or working with women facing multiple disadvantage is welcomed but not essential.

About the organisation

The charity is a women only organisation based in North London with more than 40 years of history. It was established by women supporting one another through hardship and isolation and has since evolved to serve a diverse range of communities across London.

Today, the organisation supports women facing poverty, insecure immigration status, domestic abuse, ill health and social exclusion. It provides a safe, welcoming space where women are listened to, supported and empowered to improve their wellbeing and independence.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, management, quality, security, governance and use of data at Now Teach. They are responsible for ensuring that Now Teach’s data is accurate, integrated between systems, well managed, accessible to support operational reporting, analysis, continuous improvement and strategic decision making.

This is a key role in ensuring we can identify, articulate and measure the impact of our work both internally, and with partners, senior stakeholders and funders as well as supporting our aims of operational efficiency and self-service. The role will continue to develop our data capability as an organisation to evaluate our impact and continually improve our processes.

The Data Manager will be adept at working with multiple stakeholders and helping navigate and simplify processes. They know how to pull information from our reporting systems alongside or combined with other data sources, including national benchmarks, to identify trends and patterns and provide that data to teams in a way that supports great decision making and improvement. They will have a passion for data engineering being hands on as well as being able to identify and implement improvements to drive our data forward. 

In this role you will……  

Data quality & governance 

• Oversee Now Teach’s data systems, fundraising and monitoring and evaluation processes ensuring they are set up for reliable data capture and reporting 

• Work closely with our data system product owners to ensure systems are set up and used to protect confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of data 

• Oversee data pipelines and the data aspects of integrations between our core systems

• Be responsible for data accuracy, integrity, governance and consistency across systems, ensuring high levels of data accuracy, completeness and consistency 

• Responsible for data capture across the organisation – Recruitment, Network, partners and donors 

• Ensure compliance with the UK GDPR and that data is handled securely and ethically 

Date engineering 

• Be responsible for transitioning raw data into clean, structured and reliable datasets that are easy to understand and can be used for informed decision making across the organisation 

• Be responsible for automating the collection of data from multiple systems so it can be reliably analysed 

• Creating datasets and reports that support accountability, learning and improvement 

• Develop our approach to data management and platforms, exploring the use of a medallion based data warehouse 

Reporting, monitoring & impact 

• Produce regular reports for teams, trustees, funders, and regulators. 

• Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities to evidence impact and outcomes. 

• Enable accurate reporting for all teams from all key systems, developing self-service dashboards and reporting to support service improvement and organisational learning. 

• Support analysis and data led strategic decision making by providing and making accessible reliable data 

• Respond to ad‑hoc data and reporting requests, including grant applications and tender submissions. 

• Use internal reporting systems and external data sources, including national benchmarks, to identify trends and patterns, to support data led strategic decision making and organisational learning. 

Systems & improvement 

• Responsible for effective data capture across all new areas of work, working with the Head of Impact, Head of Technology and relevant teams to define and agree data needs and ensure appropriate systems are in place to support high quality data 

• Identifying opportunities to automate, streamline and improve data processes with an organisational ambition for data to be readily accessible for all teams 

• Build meaningful reports and dashboards, working with the Head of Technology and engaging with internal teams required 

• Maintain our data map and other related assets to ensure we have a clear view of what data we capture across the organisation and what we do with it 

• Develop data management and data visualisation guidelines for Now Teach to ensure we have a consistent approach to gathering data 

• Provide training and guidance to all Now Teach staff on data best practice

CRM Product Owner – working together to optimise the use of the CRM system, ensuring it meets user needs, supports accurate data capture, and enables effective reporting and analysis across teams. 

Director of Network and their team – providing clear, robust, and accessible data sets to support ongoing network design, planning, and delivery. Your work will help inform strategic decisions and ensure data is easily understood and actionable. 

Director of Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications and their team – supporting donor reporting requirements, contributing to the development of compelling fundraising pitches, and providing key data sets to strengthen communications.

This is a pivotal role at the intersection of finance and operations, helping to ensure the smooth and effective running of key organisational functions. The Finance and Operations Lead will play an integral role in overseeing the charity’s financial operations, supporting grant reporting and wider business development initiatives, and driving operational efficiency across the organisation.

Collaborating closely with the senior and wider teams, the Finance and Operations Lead will play a key role in financial management, and operational effectiveness, contributing directly to the success of our initiatives.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

• Be the main point of contact for all finance and operational queries

• Manage the organisation’s core financial operations, including monthly Management Accounts, project finances, VAT returns and financial reporting, while working closely with external bookkeepers to ensure effective financial management and compliance, while working closely with the COO on financial oversight and planning

• Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting, Mid Year Forecasting and audit processes, preparing financial information, liaising with budget holders and external accountants, and ensuring timelines, reporting requirements and supporting documentation are delivered accurately and on time, while working closely with the COO on final review and strategic adjustments

• Support the Head of People and Development with the delivery and implementation of the internal People Strategy (specifically focusing on refining recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as providing support with grant reporting and budgeting requirements for funders)

• Manage day-to-day operations across the organisation, including onboarding new staff, supporting HR processes, coordinating office management and equipment setup, liaising with IT support providers, arranging organisation-wide cyber security training, and ensuring the smooth running of operational processes while identifying areas for improvement

• Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and the Head of Development and People to align financial and development goals

• Identify ways to enhance operational processes to support the growth of the organisation.

• Support the Engine Room team to establish effective organisational systems, routines and operational processes that support collaborative, person-centred and efficient ways of working across the organisation.

• Work closely with the Senior Team to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to governance processes, including coordinating board paper inputs and monitoring organisational KPIs

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS:

• Proven experience in finance and operations in a charity/ Third sector (Essential)

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:

• Both full and part-time considered.

• Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (pro rata if part-time), depending on experience.

• Create impactful and effective work that inspires and engages both supported and supporter audiences, helping to normalise suicide prevention and ultimately save lives.

• Act as a creative champion, providing creative counsel and working with the Marketing Leadership Team to ensure consistency and resonance, across tone of voice and look and feel.

• Act as an integral creative partner in the development and execution of major agency-led campaigns, providing brand guardianship input and CALM-first thinking.

Legacies play a vital role in supporting WWF-UK's work, representing around a quarter of WWF-UK's income and helping to fund long-term action for nature and climate.

As Legacy Administration Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the administration of legacy gifts, working with solicitors, executors, supporters and colleagues to ensure cases are managed accurately, sensitively and efficiently.

This is a varied role combining administration, relationship management and financial processes. You'll help maintain accurate records, support legacy case administration and act as an important point of contact for a wide range of enquiries. Our award-winning Creative Team sits within the NSPCC's Communications directorate. We're made up of creatives with design, writing and film production expertise. We create campaign and marketing identities, concepts, and materials, across all channels and for all audiences. We mainly work across three brands -- NSPCC, Childline and NSPCC Learning.

Our team has a broad skillset, covering creative strategy, ideation and delivery. We provide consultancy, art direction, planning, tone of voice guidance and copywriting across print and digital. As our new Senior Writer, you'll play a fundamental role in making sure the work we put out is as engaging and impactful as possible to a wide range of audiences.

Job purpose

The Senior Writer will be a highly talented communicator with substantial expertise in creative copywriting, branding and communications, preferably with experience in the charity sector.

You'll work on a wide range of creative briefs that might see you writing copy for print, digital, film, social media or web, based on briefs that come in from teams across the NSPCC. To lead and coordinate Bond’s UK G20 strategy and engagement by developing and delivering a multi‑year workplan. The role will convene and support Bond members and global majority civil society to shape shared policy positions, driving external advocacy and government engagement on the G20 agenda, overseeing communications and campaigns inputs and managing the resources, reporting, and partnerships needed to ensure effective UK civil society influence on the G20 through 2027.

Lead on planning and coordination of UK G20 work within Bond, including:

Principle duties and responsibilities will be to assist the Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the areas of Member Society and Industry engagement. Additional duties will include helping to develop SOPs to operationalise  ISAC’s Communication Strategy, populate ISAC’s social media accounts, contribute to the redesign of ISAC’s website and provide cover for the CEO and Executive Officer, as required.

Salary: Will depend on qualifications and experience.

Outline Job Description

The ISAC Communications Officer will project manage the following areas of activity under the supervision of the CEO and in liaison with the Executive Officer. 

1.1 Member Societies 

The Communications Officer will:

1.1.1 Work with ISAC’s Member Society Engagement Group which is a sub group of the society’s Executive Committee, to realise their strategic objectives.

1.1.2 Make contact with each of the Society’s Member Societies (currently 107).

1.1.3 Undertake research if contact details are out of date to make the initial contact.

1.1.4 Open a dialogue with the Member Societies.

1.1.5 Request updated contact details and society information as required.

1.1.6 Produce a paper summarising the different areas of activity undertaken by ISAC’s Member Societies.

1.1.7 At the request of the CEO, send the Member Societies regular newsletters and updates about the Society and the benefits of membership.

1.1.8 Create a template for the member societies to complete as details change.

1.1.9 Diarise AGMs or key annual / biennial meetings for when member society key personnel may change and proactively request updated information as these take place.

1.1.10 Undertake a membership survey, if required.

1.1.11 Engage with membership through online media (social media, websites, online journal).

1.1.12  Take overall responsibility for Member Societies under the guidance and supervision of the CEO.

1.2 Liaison with Commercial Companies

The Communications Officer will:

1.2.1 Work with ISAC’s Industry Liaison Group which is a sub group of the society’s Executive Committee, to realise their strategic objectives.

1.2.2 Update the details in ISAC’s industry database.

1.2.3 Identify commercial companies (pharmaceutical / diagnostic) to add to ISAC’s industry database.

1.2.4 Aid ISAC’s Industry Liaison Group to complete an industry review and produce a strategy document to identify opportunities to increase commercial support for both the Society itself (if required) and for the biennial International Conference of Chemotherapy and Infection (ICC). 

1.2.5 Identify key prospects.

1.2.6 Develop tailored approaches to these companies.

1.2.7 Make these approaches.

1.2.8 Facilitate discussions and negotiations as they develop.

1.2.9 Maintain the relationship and engagement with corporate partners and other supporters.

1.2.10 Fulfil contracts and ensure appropriate representation at the ICC and other meetings.

1.2.11 Ensure corporate partner programme and sponsorship and exhibition offerings at the ICC and other meetings are complementary.

1.3 Communication

The Communications Officer will:

1.3.1 Establish an internal communication / reporting structure and plan with the CEO during the handover phase.

1.3.2 Produce an external communications plan for the Society to include all aspects of communication if required to include a strategy (24 month cycle) for the newsletter.

1.3.3 Produce and maintain a database of E-mail addresses and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

1.3.4 Design, construct and disseminate a regular newsletter under the guidance of the CEO.

1.3.5 Take overall responsibility for communication under the guidance and supervision of the CEO.

1.4 Website

The Communications Officer will:

1.4.1 Provide recommendations on redesign and usability of ISAC’s current website.

1.4.2 Be responsible for updating the design and content under the guidance and supervision of the CEO / Executive Officer.

1.4.3 Work with the CEO / Executive Officer to establish requirements and access.

1.4.4 Act as the Society’s webmaster to update content as requested.

1.4.5 Proactively update the content on Member Societies, Scientific and Educational Meetings and Archives.

Prerequisites and qualifications:

• Education to degree level.
• Previous experience in a communications role is essential.
• Previous experience working in international organisations is an advantage.
• Previous experience working with a professional society or with pharmaceutical / diagnostic companies is an advantage.
• Must have excellent communications skills (communicating in English in a professional, business style).
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with people from different nationalities, disciplines and backgrounds.
• Ability to grasp new tasks and adapt to new challenges quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams), content management systems, social media.
• Team player, but also able to work autonomously.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Must be able to work from home or a pre-existing office as ISAC does not have office premises.
• Ability to travel to meetings (including to CEO’s base in Aberdeen UK).

The overall purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate meaningful participation and engagement opportunities for children, young people and adults to shape services, influence decision-making and ensure the voices of lived experience are central to organisational development. The postholder will support in designing, delivering and evaluating initiatives that build trust, inclusion and empowerment.

Main Responsibilities

• To co-ordinate and provide safe spaces for children, young people and adults to participate in user- led activities and projects.
• To be a key link between children, young people and adults within our participation service and staff, making sure their voices and experiences are heard.

• To support the Head of Voice, Participation & Engagement to develop opportunities for children, young people, and adults to be actively involved throughout the organisation.

• To be able to work flexibly, including regular evening and occasional weekend work in response to participants availability.

• Proven experience in youth participation, community engagement, co-production, or related areas, ideally within charity, education or health and social care sector.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of grief, loss, trauma, child development, and the psychological and social impact of bereavement on children, young people, families and adults.
• Experience in facilitating groups, workshops, and creative engagement activities both in-person and online.
• Ability to translate engagement insight into practical feedback and recommendations
• Adhere to legislation and statutory guidance related to Safeguarding Children and Young People, Safeguarding Adults, and the Mental Capacity Act.

Person Specification

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ experience of working with children and young people or adults in health, social care, youth, community or education setting
• Experience of advocating for the interests of children, young people or vulnerable adults or individuals from ethnically diverse communities
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience of tailoring these to a wide range of audience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with children, families, and professionals while maintaining professional boundaries at all times
• Experience of facilitating participation groups both in person and online
• Knowledge of different facilitation approaches and methods
• Demonstratable experience of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and an ability to practice in a way that promotes this
