This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery and ongoing evolution of our ambitious Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, securing transformational five- and six-figure grants that will drive our long-term impact and growth.
We're looking for an exceptional relationship-builder and communicator with a proven track record of securing five- and six-figure grants from Trusts and Foundations. You'll be confident translating complex data into compelling funding propositions and using your outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills to inspire support for our mission.

Founded in 1860, Providence Row is a specialist homelessness charity working in East London and the City, deliberately operating at the most acute end of the homelessness spectrum.
The charity reaches around 1,200 individuals (annually) with the most deep-rooted needs; people whose interlinking mental and physical health, and trauma and substance use challenges mean they often struggle to access mainstream support. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trusts and grants fundraiser to lead the Charity's trusts, grants and foundations strategy. The role aims to secure multi-year four, five and six-figure grants and build a reliable, sustainable income stream. Reporting to the Fundraising Lead, you'll develop and manage a robust pipeline end-to-end (research, cultivation, application, reporting and renewal), write compelling cases for support and tailored proposals, and work closely with service delivery and finance colleagues to shape fundable projects with clear, measurable outcomes. You'll also steward existing funders through high-quality communications and reporting, keep accurate records and insight on income trends, and act as the internal specialist point of reference on the UK grant funding landscape.

PURPOSE OF ROLE
Major donors and philanthropists are currently responsible for over a quarter of Caudwell Youth’s annual income – due in part to the generosity of the networks of our founder, John Caudwell.
As Caudwell Youth enters its fourth year, we are seeking a Senior Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships manager to help us expand beyond our strong founder-led base into a sustainable major donor and corporate supporter portfolio.
Proactive and commercially-minded, you will be confident driving and developing all stages of the major donor and corporate supporter stewardship process. Confidence in engaging in new business research, prospecting, initial meetings and pitches is a must, as you will be responsible for growing our small pipeline of supporters and warm prospects into a long-term income stream.
This is essential to Caudwell Youth’s future sustainability, with corporate partnerships and major donor income currently making up 30% of Caudwell Youth’s annual fundraising income (forecast to be around £450,000 this year).
Our ambition is to increase this revenue stream by around 50% to over £800,000 by 2030, in order to support more at-risk young people from across the UK, as set out in our recently launched strategy, Going National.
This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to drive high value growth and be a key part of Caudwell Youth’s upward trajectory, working within a small but dynamic fundraising team. It offers significant opportunity to shape and lead this area of fundraising as it grows.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As an integral member of the Development Team, the Development Manager will support the growth of our trust and foundation partnerships to fund a number of our core annual programme areas (Student Bursaries, Healthcare, Facilities etc) as well as new projects. The Manager will also lead on research and funding applications to trusts and foundations, while also delivering quality impact reporting across the School’s work.

About the role
The Development Team is responsible for generating income to support the organisation. It’s been a very successful few years for PCR's Events & Community team with good results across the board, increasing income by over £1 million every year since 2023. And we recently won Fundraising Charity of the Year at the National Fundraising Awards 2026!
Now’s an exciting time to join us as we work on a new multi-year strategy and expand the team yet again, bringing in new resource to give the different activity areas space to grow and ensure we can do our best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing our careers and enjoying work within an ambitious and supportive environment.
This role is new, created to focus on community fundraising which is a growing area with huge potential for PCR. We currently receive significant unsolicited income from our brilliant supporters, but there is a key opportunity to take a more proactive approach to recruiting new community fundraisers, improving their supporter experience and testing new offerings & products. You will work with the team to create and deliver a plan for this new proactive approach and will lead on day-to-day relationship management with fundraisers.
You will also lead the project management and delivery of some community-focused fundraising events. For example,our annual Snowdonia for Science event or testing new PCR-owned products which work for a community fundraising audience. We currently expect the split of time to be roughly 75% on community fundraising and 25% on events, but the two areas will be closely connected, and this split may change over time. We are excited to work with you to develop the direction of this role as the team and portfolio grows.
You will report to the Head of Events & Community and work closely with the whole team, as well as colleagues across PCR. Most of the Events team try to work together once a week when possible at our London office (Chancery Lane) but we have flexible working arrangements, so you can choose to be office based or hybrid. You would be needed to travel to regular supporter events across the UK (many of which are currently in the London/ SE England area) and to some team days in London on an ad-hoc basis.
