As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance will take responsibility for day-to-day financial management, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and strategic financial support to Huddersfield Town Foundation staff and its Board of Trustees. The role also includes taking responsibility for completion of financial returns to statutory bodies and funding partners and for driving good governance across the Foundation through review of policies, risk documentation and working practices.

Main Responsibilities:

· Be accountable for service delivery across the region, contractual performance, safeguarding, quality assurance, risk management, ensuring services meet regulatory standards, delivering positive outcomes and embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do.

· Lead senior stakeholder engagement and foster strong cross-sector partnerships across the geographic area.

· Line manage Operational Managers, and an Assistant Director, oversee budgets to ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery. Champion the sharing of learning, development of staff and volunteers and best practice across services to support continuous improvement and innovation.

· Strategic and accountable leadership, leading the region by motivating and galvanizing the team to achieve innovation, growth and quality services maximising outcomes for the people we support

· Be part of a dynamic and supportive team of other regional and national Deputy Directors, sharing and influencing cross-organisational decision making, resource allocation, strategy and organizational development and leadership.

PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Duties and Responsibilities

All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.

Delivery

· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):

o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.

o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.

o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.

o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).

· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):

o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.

o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.

o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. We exist to end the pain and suffering and loss of life among people affected by eating disorders:

• Proven experience leading finance in a complex organisation, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Qualified accountant (CCAB-recognised body: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent senior-level financial management experience. 
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence colleagues, Trustees, and external partners.

Are you an experienced fundraiser and communicator, skilled in creating compelling narratives and telling moving stories of  impact and change? We have a fabulous opportunity for you to use your creative and organisational skills to make a significant difference to young lives in Doncaster. 

We are currently finalising our next Forward Plan, with an ambition to create an inclusive, vibrant community, committed to everyone having a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.  We currently work with children and young people aged 5 to 30. 

Our priority programmes include support coaching for young people, community activity sessions, sustaining our accommodation provision for vulnerable young adults and establishing how we can best support more young people on the homelessness pathway.  We have some great spaces that are in need of development, and we expect that both capital and revenue funding will be included in your workload. We also look for smaller grants during the course of the year, including for food for our residents and supplies for our art groups, and we hope to recruit volunteers to assist with some elements of this work.

The core of your role will be in generating funds to support our work in general along with some of our specific projects and ambitions. You will be happy to take responsibility across the full cycle of fundraising and communications as needed.

Job Purpose

To oversee successful fundraising, with a focus on grants and individual giving, and to ensure effective communication that supports YMCA Doncaster in sustaining current work and launching new projects.

Main Responsibilities

• To create compelling long form content including website articles, information for print material, case studies, media releases and similar.
• To create and update cases for support for YMCA Doncaster’s fundable projects and general running costs.
• To be responsible for an assigned portfolio of trusts, foundations and similar, developing knowledge of, and relationships with, those funders.
• To make strong applications to funders within the assigned portfolio, matching YMCA Doncaster’s agreed cases for support with funders’ interests and requirements.
• To create, publicise and monitor outcomes of new giving campaigns and / or fundraising events. 
• To nurture key external stakeholders including potential supporters from the local business community, the media and others as appropriate.
• To prepare and give presentations, maintain ongoing contact and host trustee or representative visits where required as part of fundraising work.
• To devise efficient evaluation and monitoring systems which meet funder requirements.
• To oversee the accurate completion of returns and reports, ensuring that funders are satisfied and funding continues.
• To keep comprehensive records, in an agreed format, from initial contact with a potential funder through to either the rejection correspondence or the funding agreement and subsequent monitoring and evaluation.
• To utilise email joiner sequences, bulletins and round-ups to move people from a single connection towards being a warm and committed part of YMCA Doncaster.
• To work to a planned calendar of publicity and launches across all products and services. 
• To ensure that staff and volunteers joining YMCA Doncaster are encouraged to contribute to positive communications and fundraising efforts.
• To supervise / oversee volunteers and less experienced staff engaged in fundraising and communications work. 
• To co-ordinate the work of external providers where necessary for design and print, advertising, the website and similar.
• To ensure adherance to key messaging, branding and voice across all external communications.
• To comply with fundraising and other legislation relevant to the role.
• To recommend updates to relevant policies in accordance with changes to legislation or operating practice.
• To report to the Chief Executive monthly in the required format.
• To approach the role with professionalism, and to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, clients and others.

● Proven ability to build compelling, tailored partnership proposals and deliver persuasive presentations to senior and board-level decision-makers.

● Confidence in representing the organisation externally, influencing stakeholders, and communicating complex ideas with clarity and impact.

● Experienced in working collaboratively with internal and external teams to secure high value partnerships sharing insights and best practices across functions.

● Proven ability to actively listen to what an organisation needs, including reading between the lines, and flex what’s provided to them accordingly.

OVERVIEW

• Job type: 18-month fixed-term contract (potential to extend, subject to funding)

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The purpose of your role will be:

• To play a key role within the Academy to ensure that all pupils with additional needs make accelerated progress in their learning and achieve to the very best of their ability.
• To directly contribute to pupils’ accelerated progress through high quality sustained teaching of intervention support based upon a detailed knowledge of their specific needs.
