AAUK is entering into an exciting period where we are developing our events and partnerships portfolio to create more opportunities for engagement, income generation, and collaboration across the air ambulance community. The Events and Partnerships Officer will play vital part of delivering a dynamic calendar of events that support our partners and new partner acquisition, developing our industrial supporter programme and supporting vital processes across the income generation team. The role requires initiative, creativity, and independence to manage projects from concept to completion, working closely with the Events and Partnerships Manager to drive growth and engagement across the sector.
Key events include the Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence, All Party Parliamentary Group Air Ambulance Reception and attendance at sector specific exhibitions. The current partnership portfolio includes air ambulance suppliers and other key stakeholders who support the air ambulance community.
Key Responsibilities
Events
- Lead and deliver assigned events from planning through to evaluation, ensuring objectives, budgets, and timelines are met.
- Develop and manage relationships with sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and delegates to maximise engagement and value.
- Collaborate with the Income Generation team to identify and secure sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage logistics including venues, travel, accommodation, catering, and supplier contracts.
- Attend and represent AAUK at internal and external events and conferences, including occasional overnight stays.
Partnerships and Growth
- Support the recruitment and retention of Industry Supporters through an active pipeline.
- Support the development and delivery of AAUK’s growing partnerships portfolio, working collaboratively across teams to identify opportunities.
- Contribute ideas and take initiative to grow our events and partnership offerings in line with strategic objectives.
- Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
CRM & Stewardship
- Leading adherence to AAUK’s CRM processes and standards
- Ensuring donors feel valued and thanked for their contributions
- Leading use of and reporting of donation software such as, Payroll Giving, Enthuse and Just Giving platforms.
Person Specification
- Experience of event planning, delivery, and evaluation within a charity, membership, or corporate environment.
- Relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident working remotely with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Good organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience in use of CRM systems, Donorfy knowledge an advantage but not essential
- Knowledge of donation platforms and payroll giving, preferred but not essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Creative thinker with a proactive, growth-minded approach.
- Willingness to travel and attend external meetings and events with overnight stays.
- Full, clean UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment.
The position is home-based with travel to events and meetings, permanent and full time role.

About the team
Our Property and Facilities team is responsible for ensuring Shelter’s estate is fit for purpose and fully compliant for its staff, volunteers and clients. We provide a full range of professional services, including acquisitions, disposals, rent and lease negotiations, rating, estates management, building surveying, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, health & safety and facilities management. We also support all office and shop relocations, refurbishments and planned maintenance projects, while our portfolio comprises one freehold head office property in London, 24 leasehold offices and around 90 leasehold shops across England and Scotland.
About the role
You will be responsible for all property related matters across Scotland and England for our diverse portfolio. That will involve making regular site visits, with occasional overnight stays. As well as ensuring all lease events are managed and actioned and properties are safe, maintained and fully compliant, we’ll also rely on you to assist with the development and implementation of robust policies, processes and systems to help manage the estate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In short, it’s an incredibly varied role that will see you make a real difference in how Shelter’s commercial estate is managed.

Role Specifics
You’ll need a degree level qualification in a surveying/property related discipline and full RICS membership. You’ll also need a good understanding of the planning process and building regulations approval system. The confidence to lead and manage multiple projects effectively and ensure they’re delivered on time and on budget, from inception to completion, is important too. Self-motivated, capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team, and with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, providing solutions, giving sound property advice and negotiating effectively with a variety of key stakeholders comes naturally to you. What’s more, you have good computer literacy skills and are comfortable working with spreadsheets and data.

Bowel Cancer UK is seeking an exceptional, growth-driven Head of Mass Supporter Fundraising to join our team. We have set a bold ambition to significantly increase income over the next five years, ensuring everyone diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK receives the support they need.
This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a data-led fundraising programme, increase our visibility in a competitive landscape, and develop a high-performing talented team capable of delivering sustained, multi-million-pound income growth. You will lead the development of transformational strategies and play a critical role in the management of the charities CRM to significantly scale revenue while ensuring digital innovation is at the heart of all strategic decision-making. The salary is £51,241, plus £2,000 London Weighting if applicable and a contributory pension scheme. The position is home-based UK-wide, with required travel to our London-based Hub space in Kennington.
