This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands the realities facing young people in inner-city communities, and who is ready to lead a team that meets them where they are — every evening, every session, every conversation that counts.

Fight for Peace has spent over two decades using boxing and martial arts as a gateway to something bigger, education, employability, personal development, and a real shot at a different future for young people aged 7–25 in East London. As our Youth Work Manager, you'll be the person responsible for making sure the youth work at the heart of our Academy is outstanding.

You'll lead our youth workers, shape our programmes, and act as our primary safeguarding lead within primary interventions. This isn't a hands-off management role, you will be present in the Academy at least four evenings a week, visible to young people and staff alike, and actively involved in the delivery of life-changing work.

What you'll own:

You'll take the lead on designing, developing, and quality-assuring our youth work offer, including programmes like Man Talk and Lutadoras, our gender-specific personal development groups, as well as youth leadership initiatives and open-access evening services. Working alongside our Sports Manager and MEL team, you'll ensure every programme has a clear theory of change, measurable outcomes, and personal development woven into its core.

Safeguarding sits at the very centre of this role. You'll be the named lead for safeguarding across primary interventions, responsible not just for managing individual concerns, but for building a culture where every member of staff is vigilant, confident, and fully trained. You'll know your way around Working Together to Safeguard Children, contextual safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice, and you'll bring that knowledge to life in how the team works every day.

You'll also manage a team of youth workers, recruiting, developing, and holding them to high standards through regular one-to-ones, team meetings, and a genuine investment in their growth. Many of our youth workers are young people themselves who have come through our programmes, and supporting their professional development is a privilege that comes with this role.

What we're looking for:

You'll have a strong track record in youth work, ideally in an inner-city or community setting where the issues of violence, exploitation, and social inequality are not abstract concepts but lived realities for the young people you work with. You'll hold a recognised youth work qualification at Level 3 or above, and have experience acting as a designated safeguarding lead or equivalent.

You'll be a confident leader, a skilled relationship-builder, and someone who genuinely thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Summary

This is a new role leading the strategic use of marketing and communications to advance Challenge Works’ social impact mission and commercial objectives.

You will serve as the organisation’s senior lead on marketing and communications, acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, and reporting into a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

There are two key strands to the role.

1. Driving marketing and communications for Challenge Works with a focus on brand and business development. You will work closely with our priority area leads and Communications Manager to plan and deliver integrated campaigns, digital content, events, stakeholder engagement and PR to accelerate their growth priorities. You will also develop and deliver communications strategies to strengthen the Challenge Works brand through impactful thought leadership, and orchestrate the rollout of campaigns that position us as a leader in transformative innovation.
2. Overseeing the delivery of effective development and delivery of prize communications, working with our small in-house communications team and a retained PR agency, as well as any other ad hoc contractors. It also includes acting as an adviser and, where needed, an extra pair of hands on prize communications activity.

Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically while moving swiftly to action. We are a small team and everyone needs to dive in and be hands-on.

We are entirely funded through our work on prizes, so our communications and marketing activity needs to show business results as well as supporting our impact goals. Our target audiences are a niche group: innovation teams within governments, research and innovation funders, philanthropic foundations, and other innovation partners and experts, both in the UK and worldwide. Success means building our brand in the long term to generate awareness and trust with those target communities while also delivering opportunity-led communications that drive conversion for specific propositions. With limited resource, all our channels need to work together effectively to maximise impact.

You will draw on strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across Challenge Works, Nesta and external partners, while bringing the authority and insight needed to influence senior leaders and ensure our communications consistently reflect our ambition and expertise.

The role

• Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns aimed at reaching and engaging current and future funders, with a particular focus on owned digital channels and in person stakeholder events.
• Build the Challenge Works brand across all relevant channels so that it becomes synonymous with transformative innovation in the minds of funders in the UK and around the world.
• Thought leadership. Collaborate with internal and affiliated external thought leaders to nurture a pipeline of authentic, high-impact content that builds the Challenge Works brand and generates qualified leads for prize funders and partners.
• Stakeholder strategy. Collaborate with colleagues leading our BD efforts to develop our stakeholder engagement strategy and guide our approach to stakeholder management across Challenge Works.
• Overseeing retained PR agency to ensure effectiveness and value for money in prize communications and, to generate complementary PR ‘moments’ that contribute to funder engagement and awareness.
• Provide strong leadership of the communications team to ensure that they are continuing to develop in their roles, maximising innovator engagement and delivering to the high expectations of our funders. Provide advice, expert input, and training across the wider team around communications topics to enable the whole team to embed best practice communications principles in their work.
• Own the marketing and communications budget ensuring value for money across all activity and budget planning for future strategic initiatives.
• Leveraging our prize communications. Working with the communications team to ensure that we are optimising the opportunities for wider marketing and business development that the prizes (and their communications budgets) will generate.

The person

• A strong track record of developing, delivering and leading the delivery of strategic multichannel marketing strategies and plans, using marketing as part of business development and lead generation in a B2B context
• A strong track record of developing and evolving brand identities in a B2B or social impact context, ensuring brand consistency and resonance across all touchpoints
• Demonstrable understanding of social, political and economic trends and market conditions to provide strategic communications advice to senior staff

What we offer

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with the Head of Leisure, you will take ownership of promoting Enable’s Leisure sites and facilities, driving both revenue growth and brand recognition. This includes leading strategic campaigns across gym memberships (direct debits), Tennis and Padel bookings, and other leisure products at our key sites:

• Battersea Park Millennium Arena

• Barn Elms Sports Centre

• Tooting Bec Athletics Track and Gym

• Barn Elms Boathouse

You will monitor and report on sales performance, using data and insight to inform strategic decision-making and continually optimize results. Alongside delivering high-performing campaigns, you will support and develop junior marketing team members. There may also be opportunities to contribute to other diverse service areas, including Putney School of Art and Design and Battersea Park Venues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded marketer with a strong focus on performance and data, balanced with creativity and a willingness to experiment. The role requires excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the confidence to report to senior stakeholders and run regular campaign update meetings. 

The position plays a pivotal role in the continued growth of Leisure Services. You will have genuine creative freedom to drive change, shape campaign direction, and play an active role in brand development, updates and refreshes — evolving the visual identity, tone and positioning of Enable’s Leisure sites.

Central Services ensures the company operates smoothly and assists in working towards Enables strategic direction. Supporting the various services that make up Enable, Central Services consists of small and high output teams including Human Resources, Marcomms, Operations and Finance. Together, these teams make up the foundation of our business, driving our mission and fostering growth and development.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

•Develop and deliver a multi-channel marketing strategy to drive brand growth, memberships, bookings and retention.

•Lead end-to-end campaign planning and execution across all channels.

•Set clear, measurable goals and optimise performance through data-driven insight.

•Provide weekly sales and marketing updates to Senior Leadership.

•Produce regular campaign reporting, identifying trends and actionable learnings.

•Re-develop and strengthen the Enable Leisure brand across all customer touchpoints.

•Oversee content across social, email, website and on-site communications.

•Take ownership of creative development, collaborating with designers and external suppliers.

•Write clear campaign plans and briefs to align stakeholders and delivery teams.

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Fundraising Manager to lead our next phase of income growth. As our first dedicated fundraising leadership role, you will develop and deliver a multi-year income strategy, strengthen existing income streams, and identify new opportunities to diversify and grow our fundraising.

Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation, you will play a central role in helping Alopecia UK reach more people affected by alopecia and ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability. Role description: Senior Fundraising Manager  (Full recruitment pack and application process is attached below.)

• Salary: £45,000 per annum, pro rata.
• Hours: Part-time (22.5 hours per week, flexible, during normal UK working hours we would consider a contract with fewer hours for the right candidate.  All of our team work Monday mornings to ensure connectivity.)

• Home-based: This role will include occasional national travel for team meetings.

Strategic leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of a multi-year income generation strategy aligned to Alopecia UK priorities.
• Work across the organisation to ensure fundraising activity is fully integrated with operational delivery, partnering closely with the finance, communications and delivery managers to align plans, resources and messaging, and to ensure shared initiatives are realistic, coordinated and achievable.
• Translate insight from your experience and our recent fundraising strategy review into clear, achievable plans.
• Set and monitor ambitious yet realistic income targets across income streams.
• Responsibility for achieving the fundraising targets and other fundraising-related performance indicators.
• Embed a positive fundraising culture across the organisation.
• Manage and review all fundraising income and expenditure budgets.

Income growth & diversification

As a part-time role within a small charity, the postholder will need to carefully prioritise income-generating opportunities alongside stewardship and relationship management. In year one, a key focus will be establishing effective donor pathways through the rollout of our new CRM, ensuring supporters experience clear and meaningful journeys with the charity. Alongside this, the Senior Fundraising Manager will assess and determine which early opportunities for growth should be prioritised. While areas such as community fundraising, digital campaigns and regular giving are likely to offer early potential, the postholder will lead decisions on where to focus effort and investment to generate the strongest returns.

• Leverage and optimise existing community and public fundraising activity to increase income and supporter numbers.
• Develop and grow new revenue streams, to potentially include digital fundraising campaigns, regular giving, trusts and grants, and legacy giving.
• Lead creatively and intellectually on compelling campaigning initiatives that drive engagement and income.
• Provide excellent stewardship to ensure funders and partners feel valued, engaged and motivated to continue their support.
•  Widen our existing corporate partnerships programme by building mutually beneficial partnerships to deliver income, awareness, and engagement opportunities.

CRM

• Support the design and rollout of our first CRM system, working closely with the Finance & Operations Manager to design fit-for-purpose donor journeys and pathways, establish meaningful reporting frameworks and ensure data supports excellent stewardship and strategic decision-making.
• Use CRM data and financial information to track performance, analyse trends and adjust strategy as required.

Data & impact

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ICO guidance, GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Work closely with the Finance & Operations Manager to ensure our data meaningfully represents organisational outcomes.
• Translate impact data into powerful, succinct and persuasive communications or compelling cases for support.

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive, you will play a key role in our high-value partnership activity, working with Managers in the team to support delivery of core activity, while helping to ensure they are well managed, thoughtfully stewarded and positioned for long-term growth.

You will also support the delivery of mid-value partners, both fundraising and in-kind partnerships, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and strengthen relationships wherever possible. Alongside this, you will contribute to team-wide projects across Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy & Partnerships, helping us to plan, collaborate and progress towards our wider organisational goals.

By building strong internal and external relationships, you will support seamless partnership delivery and help us create meaningful collaborations that benefit both partners and the Charity.

Senior Development Manager

Full time, 40 hours per week (open to part time, flexible working and job share)

Hybrid working (at least 50% office based in E1 5HU)

£40,000–£45,000 per annum

This is a newly created role, which will help take the charity's fundraising to the next level. The new Senior Development Manager will grow existing income (trusts, foundations and statutory) and develop newer income streams (individual giving and corporate partnerships). Supported by the charity's Artistic Director/CEO and an expert Development Subcommittee, the Senior Development Manager will lead on the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, securing five- and six-figure gifts and working towards an ambition to raise around £300,000 per year within the first two years. The role also includes oversight of regular supporter communications (including a monthly newsletter) and the use of tools such as Salesforce and Mailchimp, while keeping up to date with fundraising compliance, policy and sector trends.

To be successful, you will bring substantial experience of delivering significant fundraising targets, ideally in the arts or cultural, or social welfare sectors, and a strong track record of generating income from a mix of the income streams mentioned above. Volunteering and Foster Caring Manager is a new role at Mayhew, reflective of the importance of volunteering and foster caring in our ability to deliver our onward strategy and direction. This is a highly visible and important role for Mayhew. The postholder will be working across all teams with staff and volunteers, supporters, partners and members of the public.

This role requires an effective leader and manager, with practical subject matter expertise in volunteering good practice, strong organisational skills, and a drive, rooted in passion for both animal welfare and volunteering, to enable Mayhew to reach many more dogs and cats and pet owners who need us by cultivating a thriving, engaged and diverse volunteer base.

Staff and volunteers at Mayhew, particularly in animal facing and public facing roles have duties that can be physically and emotionally demanding, sometimes interfacing with dogs and cats and pet owners who are in distress and facing heart-breaking situations.
