Oasis Hub Waterloo is looking for an experienced and ambitious fundraiser to lead the next chapter of our fundraising journey.

Every week we support children, young people and families through our schools, Foodbank, debt, welfare, housing and immigration advice, youth work, mentoring, community spaces and much more. As our new Head of Fundraising, you’ll play a key role in making that vision possible.
You’ll develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising strategy, building income across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships, statutory funding, community fundraising and individual giving. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an experienced and motivated Research Initiatives Manager to lead programmes that strengthen research capacity, capability and innovation across the paediatric workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Research and Evidence team and play a leading role in shaping the future of child health research. Working closely with senior clinicians, including the Officer for Research and the Officer for Genomics, you will lead a portfolio of projects and initiatives designed to support paediatricians in developing academic skills, engaging in research and preparing for emerging developments in healthcare, including genomic medicine.
Reporting to the Head of Research and Evidence, you will lead the delivery of a range of research initiatives focused on building research capability across the profession and manage the RCPCH Genomics Programme. The Programmes Executive will play a key role in supporting our community of primary and secondary schools throughout the school year. RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme delivery
Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns.
Schedule and deliver assemblies with primary and secondary schools participating in the programme, coordinating with our Bite Back ambassadors.
Support the School Ambassadors with travel logistics as they deliver assemblies in schools across England and Scotland.
Deliver training and webinars for schools where necessary.
Maintain and regularly update programme management software and associated data to ensure accurate and up to date information for all participating primary schools.
Ensure successful end-to-end support for the 5+ primary schools participating in the programme throughout the 26/27 school year.

Relationship management

About the role
EJF's Ocean team investigates and documents illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and the human rights abuses that so often go with it - forced labour and trafficking, physical violence, and deaths at sea. Working alongside local partners, fishing communities and crew, our investigators gather first-hand testimony, vessel and ownership data, satellite tracking analysis, supply chain data and film in ports and fishing grounds across the planet, building evidence that stands up to legal, political and media scrutiny.
This role exists to turn this evidence into action. As Senior Oceans Campaigner you will deliver the advocacy and campaign strategy for the Ocean programme: understanding the specific changes we are seeking, identifying the decision-makers who can deliver them, and designing the sequence of pressure, persuasion and partnership that moves them. You will turn investigations into campaign propositions and drive delivery from launch through to the moment a regulation is tightened, a licence revoked or a supply chain cleaned up.
You will do this across several audiences at once: governments in market, coastal and flag states, parliamentarians and regulators, international fora, and the seafood industry. Current priorities include a push for full transparency in the global fishing industry through our Global Charter for Fisheries Transparency; robust import controls and carding regimes in major seafood markets; ratification and enforcement of key labour rights conventions; an end to abusive trans-shipment at sea; beneficial ownership disclosure; and accountability for distant-water fleets operating in the waters of low-income coastal states.
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver powerful advocacy and campaign plans for EJF's ocean priorities, setting clear objectives, targets, tactics and timelines for each
Work with investigations, policy, film and communications colleagues to translate new evidence into campaign propositions, defining the ask, the audience and the timeline
Map decision-makers, influencers and opposition across target governments, institutions and companies
Identify and act on political openings, such as legislative reviews and treaty negotiations
Prepare briefings, position papers and policy asks tailored to key audiences and lead meetings with senior decision-makers
Press retailers, importers, processors and certification bodies to act on the abuses our investigations uncover, through direct engagement and public pressure as appropriate
Work with the communications team to support the launch of films, reports and investigations for maximum political impact
Act as a spokesperson with media, at public events and on panels, and represent EJF's positions accurately and persuasively
