The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood.
To carry out its charitable work the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of
people across the UK for 90% of its income. Within Engagement and Fundraising
our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC, providing the best
possible supporter experience.
Mass Participation Fundraising is an important acquisition and income stream in
the NSPCC’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy, managing the delivery of a
portfolio of Third Party Events and Schools Fundraising products, as well as
stewarding supporters looking to do their own fundraising activity for the charity
(‘DIY’ fundraisers).
We are looking for a skilled Senior Marketing Officer, who will work across these
audience streams to coordinate marketing activity. This role will focus specifically
on marketing to mass audiences to reflect the breadth of audiences who take part
in Mass Participation Events. This includes parents, grandparents, professionals
who work with children, those with a personal connection to our charity, or simply
those who care deeply about children.
We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic marketing professional who has
experience delivering insights-driven marketing strategies that make an impact.
You’ll be a great communicator, able to build effective working relationships and
influence a range of stakeholders. You’ll be able to work independently and will
have a track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and competing

Job purpose
The role of the Senior Marketing Officer is to work with the Mass Participation
Team to coordinate and deliver the planning, execution and evaluation of events
fundraising marketing campaigns across all channels.
• Adopting a holistic view of all Mass Participation Team’s marketing to
ensure consistency, and will have a good understanding of how this fits with
the organisation’s strategic goals.
• Working with colleagues in the Mass Participation Team to strategically
manage the planning and coordination of events marketing across owned,
earned and paid channels, ensuring that all campaigns and activities are
integrated, informed, planned and evaluated, and that participation and
income targets are reached.
• Supporting stakeholder teams with strategic thinking during marketing
planning and delivery. This includes championing an audience-led
approach to ensure all communications targeted at mass audiences are
relevant and useful.

Main duties and responsibilities
• Manage an integrated marketing approach across owned, earned and paid
channels to achieve participation targets and agreed KPIs, working closely with
event and product managers.
• To ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of mass participation marketing
activity through application of best practice campaign management.
• To take ownership of paid media campaigns for mass audiences in partnership
with our media agency partner. Tasks include the planning and optimisation of
activity across channels like pay-per-click and paid social media advertising.
• Be thorough and agile about monitoring campaign results and evaluating
campaigns, using insight to make informed decisions and determine future
marketing plans.
• To support with content creation where appropriate – this could include
copywriting, creative briefing, webpage updates, email marketing and photoshoot
coordination.
• Regularly benchmark against external fundraising marketing activity, keeping
abreast of current and emerging brand and marketing knowledge and practice and
equipping the team with knowledge and skills as appropriate.
• To work closely with staff across other departments to ensure marketing plans are
integrated and audience-led, in line with the organisation’s Supporter Centricity
Programme.
• To develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder and supplier relationships,
identifying and incorporating best industry standards and establishing best practice.
• To provide financial administrative support to budget holders, planning, forecasting
and tracking spend, and processing invoices and placing orders, in line with NSPCC
policies and procedures.

• To be responsible for updating databases and supporter information systems on a
regular basis in line with Data Protection legislation and NSPCC policy and

development of fundraising activities.

About the Role
The OUT Side OUT Spoken Navigator supports male survivors and survivor allies as they prepare to leave prison or another secure setting and rebuild their lives in the community. The role provides intensive, trauma-informed support shaped around each person’s individual circumstances, including completing risk and needs assessments and developing a tailored support plan. You’ll help people navigate challenges around housing, healthcare, benefits, employment and community connections, working closely with prison, probation, health, social care and other partner agencies. The aim is to reduce barriers; strengthen stability and ensure people continue to feel supported throughout the transition from custody into the community.
About You
You’ll have experience of providing one-to-one support or advocacy to people with complex needs and be comfortable working with trauma, risk and the challenges that can accompany release from custody. Experience within criminal justice, mental health, housing, social care or community services would be particularly helpful, as would an understanding of sexual harms affecting boys and men. You’ll be able to build trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries, manage competing priorities and work confidently with a range of partner agencies. This is a rare opportunity to build a community movement capable of transforming lives. You will lead the growth of a national membership community, shape policy and healthcare conversations, and help ensure that every person affected by myasthenia feels informed, supported, represented and connected.
Together, we aim to ensure that within five years, at least half of everyone living with myasthenia in the UK knows, trusts and actively engages with myaware as their community, their advocate and their voice.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.
Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor.
myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families. We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

What we can offer
Salary and pension: We are offering an FTE salary for the role of £28,000 FTE, pro-rated to 21 hours a week (our working week is 35 hours).
Annual leave: You will be entitled to 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (these will be pro-rated to reflect your hours).
Hours of work: As a remote and largely part-time team, we offer a great deal of flexibility. We’re ideally looking for someone who can work 21 hours/week spread over three or more days of the week. We need someone who can commit to some regular team meetings, including quarterly away days which might fall outside of your normal working pattern. Otherwise, we trust you to set the schedule which works best for you.
Location: Our team works remotely. The team does meet in London quarterly for away days, for which travel is paid for. Remote participation is possible to accommodate access needs.
Contract: This is a fixed term 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. You will have a probation period of 3 months.

Head of Support and Advocacy
The Head of Support and Advocacy provides operational leadership across We Are Survivors’ support and advocacy services. Working closely with the Service Director, Operations Director and Executive Team, the role ensures services are effective, well governed and meet the needs of survivors and their loved ones. This includes overseeing our trauma-informed, survivor-centred approach; monitoring service performance; safeguarding and record-keeping; and ensuring contractual commitments and quality standards are met. About You
Head of Support and Advocacy
You’ll be an experienced operational or clinical leader who is comfortable overseeing services that work with trauma, mental health and complex needs. You’ll understand how to balance compassionate, survivor-centred practice with effective governance, safeguarding, quality assurance and contractual performance. Experience of working with men, sexual harms or people with lived experience would be valuable, alongside the ability to build strong relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders.
