The Migrant Futures Institute (MFI) is being established at Goldsmiths in 2025 thanks to a major philanthropic commitment by Oak Foundation in academic year 2024-25.
The MFI is set to be a beacon of rigorous research, innovative policy solutions, and creative approaches to understanding and reshaping migration discourse. Through collaborative research and creative practice, the MFI engages directly with migrant organisations and communities, working with them to generate new knowledge, cultivate understanding, and support their well-being, creative and work aspirations.
About the Role
Building on an 8-figure philanthropic commitment made by Oak Foundation, the Development Manager will play a key role in securing the long-term viability and success of the Migrant Futures Institute. Working with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and the MFI Director, the post holder will ensure that fundraising is an embedded strategic priority. They will develop and deliver outcome-led fundraising strategies that work within the broader University fundraising and communications environment and achieve philanthropic fundraising targets.
About the Candidate
You will demonstrate your ability to make things happen, to manage and move relationships forward, to communicate inspiring messages and build warm relationships that deliver support for the Migrant Futures Institute at Goldsmiths. Your dynamic and proactive approach will be combined with a track record of delivering successful fundraising campaigns and experience of building partnerships and delivering support, ideally in an academic context, but transferrable skills from candidates looking to move into the sector are also welcomed. We are looking for someone to join our Young People Learning team to support the coordination of our programmes for young people across England and Wales.
We are looking for someone with a passion for empowering young people and understanding of school’s curricula in England and Wales to coordinate. Your role ensures that operational delivery plans are implemented in your defined area, meeting all targets and KPIs. Key Responsibilities:

At Northampton Students’ Union, our Sports Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching the student experience through sport. Main purpose of the job

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.
This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

The Role
We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.
The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery. You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.
The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.

Schools Coordinator
We are now recruiting two full-time positions for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.
This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.
Position: Schools Coordinator (internal title School Impact Officer)
School locations: B29 4HE and B42 2PY - 4 days school based
Training location: B15 2HU - 1 day per week (with some working from home)
Working schedule: Term-time working (except for the second half of August)
Hours: Working hours are 8:00-4:30, Monday to Friday.

The Role
We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.
The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery. You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.
The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.
The role is primarily a school-based post from Monday to Thursday and is based in a regional venue on most Fridays. See locations above.

Founded in 1981, INQUEST is the only charity providing expertise on state related deaths and their investigation to bereaved people, lawyers, advice and support agencies, the media and parliamentarians

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Casework Team provide specialist casework advice and support to bereaved families and individuals following a contentious death in custody and detention settings or through multi agency failings, requiring an inquest. You will be working alongside an experienced Casework Team, led by two Senior Caseworkers. You will have close contact with the Family Engagement Coordinator and with the Policy and Communications team.
The purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice to bereaved families facing an investigation and inquest process into a state related death; advising on the process immediately following a death, secure legal representation for families through the INQUEST Lawyers Group; liaise with external organisations, including lawyers, coroners and public bodies such as the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman and the Independent Office for Police Conduct, work alongside the Communications Team on media engagement; and identify key cases and issues arising as part of INQUEST’s policy and campaigns work.
The successful candidate will have experience of casework and advice provision, preferably in inquest law and related investigations. They will be expected to identify themes and trends arising from cases and contribute to the organisations strategic work. In addition, they will be required to organise stakeholder meetings and represent INQUEST at external meetings.
They will possess outstanding communication and organisation skills, will enjoy working in a very fast paced environment, and will adhere to INQUEST’s values and commitment to social justice, as well as our commitment to tackling racism and discrimination.
