An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Clinical Governance to join our Nursing and Quality  Team. This role will require the successful candidate to lead and enhance the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care for children. This role is pivotal in overseeing clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing clinical risks, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

The postholder will work collaboratively across teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, aligning with The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives. Whilst the post directly reports to the Director of Nursing and Quality, the remit of the role spans the whole organisation and works across all clinical directorates.

Role Requirements

· Develop and maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe and high-quality care.

· Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings to discuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Ensure that clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelines and evidence-based standards.

· Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a culture of transparency and reporting.

· Implement and maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring that learning from         incidents is captured and shared.

· Monitor and report on patient safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate action plans are developed.

· Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and experiences.

· Lead quality impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in practice, evaluating potential risks and benefits and manage the organisational governance in relation to these.

· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines, including CQC regulations and national safety frameworks.

· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and ensure organisational policies and practices reflect these updates.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

The External Affairs Manager plays a pivotal role in empowering people with sight loss to live the life they choose. This position leads the development of policy and campaigns within the country, aligning with Guide Dogs’ strategic objectives. Working collaboratively with the central policy, public affairs, and campaigns team, as well as the country leadership team, the role builds strategic partnerships with government bodies, local authorities, societies, and other key organisations. This ensures Guide Dogs remains informed and influential on all policy initiatives affecting the organisation and its stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership, management and oversight of a team.

The post-holder is responsible for shaping policy positions, drafting responses to consultations from councils, combined authorities, and devolved governments, and driving impactful campaigns at a regional level. A key focus is increasing the involvement of blind and partially sighted people in advocacy and campaigning.

Additionally, the role leads the implementation of Guide Dogs’ regional marketing and communications strategy across the Devolved Nations. About Little Hearts Matter

Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.

Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children as they grow to adults, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations. Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.

· Ensure the Reserve Centre is managed appropriately to achieve exceptional standards, demonstrating best practice to maximise conservation benefits, in line with work taking place on the reserve. 

· Lead the management of internal and external relationships of the Trust effectively, including Volunteers, NRW, G24, Land Agent and Solicitors.

· Ensure all aspects of the Centre and Reserve are managed within the agreed service levels and both internal and external measures.

· Ensure contracts are managed in a timely manner including utilities and insurance, with the Contract Clerk, providing the Trust with cost effective and suitable solutions.

· Demonstrate professional acumen, together with the motivation, creativity, initiative, and leadership skills to support the conservation team and overall strategy of the Trust.

· Coordinate the management of day-to-day operations in accordance with the agreed management plans, providing regular updates and reports to the Trustees.

· Compile the business accounts and reconciliation in preparation for the accountant.

Dataro are looking for a Partnerships & Marketing UK Manager to help grow their presence across the UK charity sector. This is a varied role that combines partnership development with hands-on marketing and events delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning ideas into action. 

Around 70% of the role will focus on partnerships and new business growth; identifying and developing collaborations that build pipeline and raise Dataro’s profile across the UK. The remaining 30% will focus on delivering marketing activity and events on the ground, from conferences and webinars to partner activations and community engagement. 

You’ll work closely with Dataro’s global marketing and partnerships team, with access to the tools, systems and support needed to make things happen. While the role sits within a global team, this position will play a key part in shaping and delivering activity specifically for the UK charity market.

You might currently be working in corporate partnerships, marketing, partnerships, data, or events within a UK charity, or in a technology or service provider that works with the nonprofit sector. What matters most is that you understand how strong relationships translate into income and impact, and that you’re comfortable taking ideas from concept through to delivery.

Background

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery:

• Plan, organise, and execute a range of community outreach and charity events, including (but not limited to) Fun, Food, and Golf, Community Cafes and School outreach.

Out The Box (OTB) – hands-on analogue mixing workshops in leading London studios, giving emerging producers practical experience with desks, outboard gear and professional engineers while bridging digital and analogue production techniques.
