Effro is an innovative dementia project which is part of Platfform for Change. It seeks to promote and support the benefits of physical activity and mental stimulation in slowing the progression of a range of conditions that are under the dementia umbrella. Building on a range of UK and international approaches we work in a person centred, individual way to help people living with dementia to regain a sense of their own identity whilst offering vital short-term respite to those who care for them. Effro offers a range of training and advice to professionals and the public to help them better understand dementia and support those living with it. We seek to train a range of people, with a range of backgrounds including medical professionals, Council staff, social care professionals, paid and unpaid carers. You will be working alongside an experienced training officer who has been part of the Effro project for 5 years who will support you in your role.
Your role will involve taking the Effro approach into the wider community and demystifying the world of dementia whilst tailoring training to meet the specific needs of your audience

The Operations Manager provides a key role in our charity managing our people and operations functions. This includes the day-to-day running of our office space in Bethnal Green, human resources, workplace wellbeing, IT, and asset and data management. You will provide guidance and support, bringing skills in working across teams and breaking down barriers. You will develop new initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety, IT and data security governance.
The post would suit someone with proven experience in human resources, health and safety and IT/GDPR. About you

About the Role

Salary: £55,000- £60,000 full time equivalent. This role sits within Band C on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.
Nature of contract: Full time or 0.8 FTE. Permanent. This is a hybrid role working from home and our office in Oxford. There is a requirement to attend the office once a week and for other meetings/work as required.
Holidays: 36 days (including bank/public holidays) for discretionary use across the annual leave year. Option to purchase up to an additional 5 days or equivalent of one week’s leave.

The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for leading and growing the hospice’s community income portfolio, driving sustainable voluntary income through grassroots engagement, volunteer mobilisation and campaign development.
The post holder will hold accountability for income generated through all community fundraising activity, alongside key community campaigns such as Rudolph Run, Bunny Hop and Coffee Morning.
They will develop and implement a community growth strategy that expands geographic reach, strengthens supporter stewardship and builds a structured volunteer programme to extend capacity and deepen local engagement.
