Allsorts is seeking a Parents & Carers Service Support Worker to join our team and help make a real difference to our growing community of parents & carers who support the LGBTQ+ young people in their lives.

Working with the Senior Practitioner, you will help facilitate groups and provide 1:1 support to parents and carers, as well as supporting family-focused events.  The role also leads on administration and data management for the service.

Job Title:   Parents & Carers Service Support Worker 

Hours: 18.5 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering and developing the Parents & Carers Service

● Facilitate and co-facilitate online and in-person groups, activities, and events in a wide range of locations across Sussex.

●Provide welcoming one-to-one support to parents and carers, mostly online and occasionally in person

●Co-deliver the Evolve project for families with young people on the NHS waiting list to build their resilience, confidence, and strengthen family relationships.

●Attend in-person and online meetings, events and networking opportunities with other organisations and professionals to promote our service.

●Nurture the development of a safe, supportive and empathetic Parents & Carers community by encouraging connections and attendance at events and groups.

●     Collaborate with colleagues to integrate the Parents & Carers Service with Allsorts Youth Services to provide wide-ranging and high-quality service for the whole family.

Administration for the Parents & Carers Service

● Manage the referral system to ensure that data is recorded in a timely and accurate manner, and that referrals are processed within expected timeframes.

● Use Eventbrite to manage and promote events.

● Use Mailchimp to write a monthly newsletter for Parents & Carers, and to manage our mailing list.

●      Update our digital notice board with information, and monitor the Parents & Carers private Facebook group.

Salary: £13,202 (full-time salary equivalent is £26,403)

You are a warm, engaging professional with experience of working in support roles with adults or children.  You bring excellent collaboration and communication skills and the confidence to lead group discussions.  You’ve got an eye for detail and strong administration skills. 

You don’t have to be LGBTQ+, but you must have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ children and young people and families and a commitment to equity and inclusion.

We’re looking for a competent and experienced Finance Manager to join our core team to cover maternity leave from September 2026 for around 6 months, with high likelihood of permanent extension following the cover period.

The main purpose of the role is to maintain robust financial, payroll, information and administration systems that support Chilypep’s strategic financial planning, sustainability, and programme development, following the organisation’s Financial Policy and Procedures.

This key member of our core team is a vital role for our organisation, providing the backbone and foundation for all the work we do to empower children and young people to have a voice, place and space in their communities and the wider world.

You will need a detailed understanding of the financial requirements of the charity sector, excellent teamwork and communication skills, along with experience and confidence to manage the breadth of tasks and relationships needed to keep a vibrant and busy youth charity going!

Help children and young people recover from sexual abuse. 

Respond is looking for a compassionate and skilled Specialist Child and Young Person Advocate to join an innovative partnership delivering a new Child Sexual Abuse Support Hub. 

Working alongside SurvivorsUK and other specialist organisations, you will provide trauma-informed advocacy and emotional support to boys, girls and non-binary children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse.

• Hold a caseload of children and young people requiring specialist advocacy and support. 

• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs. 

• Support children and young people to access health, education, social care, therapeutic and criminal justice services where appropriate.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.

About this role

The Engagement Manager is an experienced professional who plays a key role in supporting donor engagement across all Impetus donors, enabling the team to provide best practice and high-quality donor stewardship and a platform for the renewal of key philanthropic gifts.

The Engagement function is responsible for pro bono and volunteering. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, the Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting the successful delivery and continuous improvement of the volunteering programme, ensuring it delivers high-quality opportunities, contributes to agreed KPIs and evolves in line with the needs of funders and the organisation. 

The postholder will account manage key relationships with mid-level supporters and internal stakeholders, working across teams to deliver meaningful and well-coordinated engagement opportunities. They will contribute to identifying and developing new opportunities for the volunteering and pro bono programmes that respond to funder interests and portfolio needs. 

In addition, they will manage relationships with mid-level pro bono supporters, taking them through the full pro bono journey from project matching and onboarding through to stewardship and ongoing support.

This is a cross-functional role that collaborates closely with the Investment team, wider Philanthropy team, Public Affairs team and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and excellent donor experience.

Key responsibilities

Volunteering programme  

• Account manage relationships linked to volunteering across corporates, individuals and grant-making trusts, ensuring engagement is maintained and escalating strategic issues or risks where appropriate.
• Support or lead meetings, alongside fundraising account managers where appropriate, with funders to understand their volunteering interests and contribute to the development of suitable engagement opportunities.
• Support account managers in ensuring consistent donor engagement throughout annual giving cycles, including tracking, reporting, and communications.
• Contribute to the development of the volunteering function to ensure the programme offers a range of high-quality opportunities suitable for different funder types and aligned to organisational priorities.

• Support the identification, prospecting and conversion of new pro bono supporters, aligned with the needs of portfolio charities and Impetus, including attending meetings with prospective supporters.
• Manage relationships with mid-level pro bono funders, supporting delivery across the full engagement process from identifying suitable projects and matching opportunities through to onboarding, delivery and stewardship.
• Work with the Head of Engagement, internal teams and charity partners to scope projects and support matching pro bono funders to suitable opportunities.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing management of pro bono partners, ensuring clear communication and a high-quality supporter experience.
• Monitor the progress and quality of pro bono projects, gather feedback and identify improvements to strengthen delivery and impact.

Senior Young Dads Worker (Neurodiverse)

About NEYDL

North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) was founded in 2017 and has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most recognised organisations supporting young dads, men aged 25 and under in a fathering role. Our vision is for young dads to be valued and supported as parents. In 2024/25 we supported 217 young dads directly and achieved 100% satisfaction among the young dads we work with.

We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. Many of our staff are young dads themselves or have lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.

About this role

We use the term ‘young dads’ to refer to young dads, expectant dads and non-birthing partners aged 25 and under. This includes people within this age bracket who self-identify as father figures, including kinship carers and non-birthing partners.

We use the term ‘neurodiverse’ as an inclusive term covering young dads who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other forms of neurodivergence, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or awaiting assessment. We recognise that neurodivergent young dads can face additional barriers in accessing parenting support, including in how services are structured, communicated and delivered, and that these barriers are often compounded by stigma, exclusion or a lack of appropriate adjustment.

This is a dedicated role to ensure neurodivergent young dads can access the high quality support NEYDL offers, and that our wider service offer is genuinely accessible to them. You will provide direct, adapted support to neurodivergent young dads, while also building NEYDL’s organisational understanding of how to work effectively and inclusively with this group.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated and experienced worker with a genuine understanding of neurodivergence and its impact on young fathers, and the ability to adapt support, communication and activities accordingly. You will be a confident networker, able to build relationships with both young dads and the services and organisations that support neurodivergent people across the North East.

We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of neurodivergence, either personally or as a parent or carer of a neurodivergent child, and from people with lived experience of young fatherhood.

Who we are

IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) is a national charity working to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the educational support they are legally entitled to. Since we were formed in 1983, we have helped to improve the education experience of thousands of children and young people across England. We do this by providing free and independent legal advice and casework support for families, undertaking policy work and delivering training on the SEND legal framework.

We are seeking a Policy Manager to lead IPSEA's policy and influencing work to achieve positive change for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Legal and Training, trustees and colleagues across the organisation, you will set strategic policy priorities and develop evidence-based influencing plans that support IPSEA's mission and long-term objectives.

Drawing on insights from our advice and tribunal services, legal expertise and the experiences of families, you will identify systemic issues within the SEND system and develop policy solutions that improve children and young people's access to the support and education to which they are entitled. You will ensure that IPSEA's policy positions are credible, legally robust and informed by the lived experiences of those we support.

You will lead IPSEA's engagement with government, Parliament and other key decision-makers, identifying opportunities to influence legislation, policy and practice at both national and local level. This includes overseeing responses to consultations, parliamentary inquiries and calls for evidence, as well as preparing briefings and strategic advice to support senior-level engagement and advocacy.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across legal, communications, fundraising and training teams, you will ensure IPSEA's policy, campaigning and public affairs activities are aligned and maximise the organisation's impact. You will also monitor developments across the political, legal and policy landscape, helping IPSEA respond proactively to emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the rights of children and young people with SEND.

Who are we looking for?

You will have significant experience in a senior policy and campaigning/public affairs role and have good knowledge of local and national government structure including the legislative process.

You the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders including MPs, civil servants, campaigners and parents. You exhibit tact and diplomacy and can be impactful with people of varying levels and experience.

Your research and critical thinking skills enable you to analyse policy and data to produce relevant reports and position papers. You have experience of drafting organisation responses to government consultations and parliamentary calls for evidence.

Purpose of the role: 

The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.

Working directly with kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen their support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.

This is a community-facing role, working from Y Sort It’s offices and directly in kinship carers’ homes and community spaces. You will work alongside Y Sort It’s Intandem mentors to ensure that both carers and the children they care for receive coordinated, complementary support.

Accurate recording of your work is essential to enable Kinship and Inspiring Scotland to understand what is working, demonstrate impact and learn from this pioneering pilot.

Direct support

You will provide intensive one-to-one support to kinship carers for up to six months, working within the delivery approach set out in the Kinship Connected Service Manual. You will also establish and facilitate a monthly support group for kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire.

This may include:

• Providing emotional and practical support to kinship carers.
• Completing structured needs assessments, SMART goal setting and regular reviews with kinship carers.
• Advocating for kinship carers in meetings with professionals where appropriate.
• Establishing and facilitating a monthly support group for kinship carers in the local area.

Safeguarding and risk management

Kinship has a robust safeguarding structure. You will be supported by a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Designated Deputy Safeguarding Leads (DDSL). In line with this policy, and mindful of the Scottish legislative and practice context, you will:

• Recognise, report, record, respond and refer safeguarding risks via our safeguarding process with the support of the safeguarding team.
• Follow and understand Kinship’s organisational safeguarding policies, as well as relevant Scottish guidance and legislation.

The Youth Worker (Mentoring) will support Inspiring Inclusion’s Our Schools, Our Change programme by providing trauma‑informed, one‑to‑one support to Black and racially minoritised young people with adverse childhood experiences. Working closely with Camden schools and community partners, they will build trusting relationships that help young people feel seen, heard, and empowered while wider systems change progresses. They will use holistic, strengths‑based, participatory approaches, contribute to a test‑and‑learn model, and bring strong reflective and organisational skills. Personal experience of racial profiling in state education is essential, enabling deep empathy and authenticity. Our Growing Minds Service provides practical, emotional and mental health wellbeing support to children and young people aged 11-25 from African and Caribbean Heritage (ACH) communities; focusing on two key transition points in their lives (primary to secondary school and childhood to adulthood). The service is designed to increase the capacity of ACH communities to harness potential, identify and support children and young people’s mental health needs, and to establish a clear pathway into direct support.

Main responsibilities

As a therapist you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, delivering 1-1, time limited, outcome focussed sessions with young people for up to 24 weeks (depending on their assessment evaluation) and evaluating therapeutic interventions for young people. You will work with young people on a 1:1 basis, with parent/carers during assessment, and group work. You will undertake holistic assessments, and hold a caseload providing outcome focussed interventions that support resilience and emotional wellbeing. In addition you will be knowledgeable about the wider health determinants which impact on ACH communities and barriers for children, young people and young adults achieving positive outcomes. You will be a warm, empathic individual with an ability to relate to young people and work as part of a team.

You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partner organisations, using your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build trust, foster positive partnerships, and achieve the best outcomes for service users. You will demonstrate a professional and ethical approach at all times, acting with integrity and gaining the confidence and respect of those you work with. Strong IT and digital skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You will be comfortable producing reports and written documentation, maintaining accurate records and databases, analysing information, creating presentations, and managing professional communications. The ability to support the ongoing development and maintenance of service and contract-related databases, working alongside IT colleagues where required, will also be important in ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
