Cambridge Muslim College is an independent institution of higher education and a registered charity, rooted in the Islamic tradition and advancing knowledge, scholarship and public understanding.
Through its teaching, research and public programmes, the College is committed to developing a new generation of Muslim leaders who are deeply grounded in their tradition and able to engage confidently with contemporary Britain.
Through a focused portfolio of programmes spanning Islamic Studies, contextual leadership and Classical Arabic, alongside research across theology, philosophy, ethics, education and social institutions, Cambridge Muslim College brings traditional scholarship into dialogue with the modern world. Working closely with the Registrar, senior leadership and Trustees, you will shape and deliver a more structured and sustainable approach to philanthropy while leading a small Development team encompassing fundraising operations and communications. Location: Hybrid working, based in the FT offices in St Paul’s. The role requires a minimum of two office days per week, currently Monday and Wednesday.
Job Description
The organisation
The FT Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign ( FT FLIC), is a fast-growing financial literacy charity founded by the Financial Times. We promote financial literacy where it is needed most, with the aim of creating significant and sustainable social impact.
The charity works with young people in schools, adult learners, community groups and workers across the UK. We also support policy and advocacy work, with the mission of giving everyone the tools to build lifelong money confidence.
About FT FLIC’s programmes
FT FLIC has developed an award-winning financial literacy curriculum for secondary schools and is now working with national partners to build a comprehensive catalogue of digital resources for adult learners.
With input from FT journalists, production specialists, educators, and beneficiaries, we are creating a diverse range of engaging materials. These include visual, audio, and text-based content within a continuously evolving learning hub.

You will be comfortable working independently while collaborating with a wider team in a fast-paced, creative environment. There will also be opportunities to contribute to new content formats, support live video sessions, and attend industry events.
Beyond reaching beneficiaries, this role will also support the creation of content that communicates FT FLIC’s impact to a broader range of stakeholders, including funders, corporate partners, policymakers, and educators. You will contribute content for key campaigns, partner activity, and platforms such as LinkedIn, adapting tone and format for different audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
