About Southwark Charities
With a history of over 400 years, Southwark Charities provides affordable housing giving older people the opportunity to live independently in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. We also provide grant funding to a wide range of community organisations and charities working with older people in Southwark. We have a thriving membership programme to help enrich older people’s lives, support their health and well-being and tackle isolation.
Due to our prudent financial management our investments and varied income portfolio yields an annual operating budget of £1.9 million each year. Of this, we distribute around £500,000 in grants, a figure set to increase to approximately £1 million by 2029. In addition, we pay modest annual grants to around 200 individual members and organise a wide range of activities—such as theatre outings, day trips, and community events—for both almshouse residents and our wider membership community.
On completion of our new almshouse we will be providing affordable office space for like-minded organisations.
We are proud of our long history of service to Southwark’s older people and are committed to ensuring our organisation is well positioned to meet future challenges, including property expansion, increased grant-making, and a growing programme of resident and community engagement.

- Membership Officer (0.8 FTE) – supports and organises activities for ~250 local people.

- Expansion of our property portfolio by 30 additional units on completion of a major works project, with the potential of a further site of 18 homes coming into our management and the rental of affordable office space.

About Us
For over 30 years, The Money Charity has been the UK’s Financial Capability charity. We proactively provide education, information, advice and guidance to people of all ages, helping them to manage their money well and increase their Financial Wellbeing. We believe that being on top of your money as a part of everyday life reduces stress and hardship, helps you achieve your goals and live a happier life as a result, so we empower people across the UK to build the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours to make the most of their money throughout their lives.
Our strategy for 2025-28 includes the aim to double our workshop delivery to children and young people, which is why we are looking to grow our network of consultants.
We are a small, passionate team with a big reach and an open mind, committed to quality, accessibility and inclusiveness.
For more information about us, please visit our website.
About The Opportunity
Money Workshops are the core of what we do. Through these sessions, we reach over 40,000 people per year across the UK with our vital financial wellbeing messages.
This offering is split between two areas of work: Workshops for children and young people (our Financial Education offer), and Sessions & Programmes for adults (what we call Financial Wellbeing Training). We are looking for multiple Freelance Consultants to deliver to one or both of these two groups. Please see the job descriptions below for more information about each opportunity.
The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, investing, pensions and much more. In the majority of cases, they are also fully-funded (free) to the organisations we partner with, keeping barriers to access as low as possible.
As well as delivering the Workshops, you will play a role in promoting them, which means you should be able to forge strong relationships with stakeholders and should be confident in reaching out to new contacts. This will involve sending marketing emails to education establishments and charities, reaching out to existing contacts, and possibly the use of social media to promote the workshops. It also means Consultants can control their own diaries and commitments, meaning that this is an ideal opportunity for those looking for flexibility.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with and learn from a team of expert consultants and staff, make a difference to your community and help The Money Charity to reach more people with our life changing financial wellbeing messages.
This role involves a significant amount of travel within your region, and possibly the UK, therefore willingness to travel is essential and a valid UK driving licence and use of a car is required.
The Money Charity is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, contractors and volunteers to share this commitment. A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required for this opportunity.
We will be hosting a webinar on Monday 13th October at 2:30pm where you can find out more about the opportunity, and ask any questions. The link to sign up to the webinar can found on the job advert on our website.
Closing date: 17:00, Tuesday 21st October 2025.
We will review applications as they come in, and may close applications early, so please apply as soon as possible.

The Organisation
The Chartered College of Teaching is a charity and the professional body for teachers. We are working to empower a knowledgeable and respected teaching profession through membership and accreditation.
We are dedicated to bridging the gap between practice and research and equipping teachers from the moment they enter the classroom with the knowledge and confidence to make the best decisions for their pupils.
Our activities mainly focus on four key areas:
- membership
- teacher CPD and accreditation
- research, policy and events
- online and print resources
Since opening membership in 2017, we have grown rapidly. In total our work reaches over 40,000 teachers and more than 3 million young people. In 2020 we published reports ‘Education in Times of Crisis’ around the impact of lockdown; in 2021 we won the Memcom award for ‘Best magazine for a Professional Association or Membership Organisation’; in 2024 we published the working paper ‘Teacher professionalism report’. To date over 600 teachers have been celebrated at Graduation ceremonies for our Chartered Teacher Status pathways. We are a growing and multi-skilled team of 30 people, supported by a Board with a significant track record of experience in a range of fields. Our business plan focuses on growing membership and Chartered Status, and providing meaningful professional learning opportunities for the teaching profession. This role will support our transition from our in-house management platform to Salesforce.
The Opportunity
Our Membership Platform supports the College membership functions to make a difference to the lives of over 3.6 million children taught by our members. It is used to track, manage and support our members to access their benefits.

- help to grow the professional membership organisation for the teaching profession and be part of the team driving the organisation forward at an exciting time for the future of the College.
Platform Management and Maintenance
Most of the time, you will be managing the membership platform, fixing any bugs, keeping the server up to date, ensuring stability, and providing reports to various stakeholders within the College. You will also provide support to the membership team with refund requests through GoCardless and Stripe.
Data and Process Transition
You will spend some of your time working with the Head of Data and Digital to move all relevant membership data and processes over to Salesforce. This will entail preparing data in the correct format and providing support to move automated processes over to the new system.

Shape the future. Drive innovation. Transform lives.
At St Elizabeth’s, technology isn’t just about systems and servers — it’s a vital enabler of the life-changing work we do every day.
Set within 60 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, we are a unique and values-led charity, supporting children and adults with epilepsy, learning disabilities, and other complex needs through specialist education, residential care, and health services.
Now, under a bold and ambitious five-year strategy, we are investing in our future — modernising, growing, and embracing innovation. We are looking for an exceptional Head of IT to lead this transformation, shaping a technology roadmap that supports our services today while building for tomorrow.
This is a strategic leadership role, not an operational “keep the lights on” post. You’ll work at the heart of our organisation, ensuring our digital infrastructure, systems, and innovation keep pace with — and enable — our mission, while providing direct line management to our IT Manager and working closely with them on both operational delivery and ICT budget management.
Your Impact
As our Head of IT, you will:
- Lead our long-term IT strategy — ensuring our technology supports organisational growth, service development, and digital inclusion for everyone we support.
- Provide direct line management to the IT Manager, ensuring day-to-day operations align with strategic goals.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the ICT budget in partnership with the IT Manager, ensuring cost-effective and future-proof investment decisions.
- Champion AI, automation, and assistive technology to transform care, education, and operational delivery.
- Oversee a comprehensive modernisation programme ensuring operational systems digitally interface efficiently, sharing data across all service and support areas.
- Drive integration of systems to enable real-time data insights, streamlined processes, and improved user experience.
- Advise the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership Team on opportunities, risks, and technology trends, ensuring decisions align with organisational goals and sector best practice.
- Build strong relationships with technology providers and sector networks to bring innovation and best practice into the organisation.
- Collaborate across teams to embed technologies that make a tangible difference to the lives of our children, young people, and adults.
About You
You’ll be a visionary IT leader who can see the bigger picture — and bring it to life. You’ll combine strong technical knowledge with strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and the ability to inspire confidence in technology across a diverse organisation.
You will have:
- Experience leading IT strategy in a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Proven experience managing IT teams, including direct line management of senior IT staff.
- The ability to develop and oversee ICT budgets, ensuring financial accountability and value for money.
- The credibility to influence senior leaders, Board members, and external partners.
- A track record of delivering impactful technology projects that enhance service delivery.
- A passion for using technology to improve people’s lives — particularly in education, care, or charity settings.
Why Join Us?
- A pivotal leadership role in a forward-thinking, purpose-driven charity.
- The opportunity to design and deliver a full digital transformation.
- A collaborative, supportive culture where innovation is encouraged and valued.
- A beautiful working environment with on-site facilities.
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.
If you’re ready to lead with vision, embrace innovation, and create technology solutions that transform lives, we’d love to hear from you.
