We are now looking to recruit a number of professional and self-motivated Employment Specialists to join our dynamic and high performing teams in Barnet or Haringey. You will provide an employment support service to help people suffering with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) to gain and sustain paid employment.

JOB PURPOSE
To inspire people with severe and enduring mental health conditions to progress and to gain and sustain paid employment and contribute to a thriving team and organisation.
The Employment Specialist (ES) role will work across and within the local Barnet or Haringey secondary care network. You will work to assist referred patients (clients) to find competitive and sustained employment. Around 25% of referrals will be to assist clients to remain in work if struggling, or return to work, if off sick.
Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.
You will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives. Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Engage a caseload of clients with serious mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.
2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.
3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.
4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.
5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.
6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.
7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.
8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.
9. Regularly attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.
10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.
11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.
12. Update and maintain NHS database (RIO).
13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.
14. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.
15. Comply with and actively promote all Twining policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection.
16. Perform other tasks as required by your manager.

Individual Placement & Support (IPS) is an internationally recognised and evidence-based supported employment intervention. IPS is regarded as the most effective and efficient way of helping people with mental health issues into competitive and sustainable employment.
Twining was the first non-NHS provider to be awarded Centre of Excellence status for its IPS service in Barnet.
This is a senior, and brand-new role to Refugees at Home. We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience of helping people find permanent accommodation to come into our team to assist our guests directly and upskill colleagues across the organisation to assist our guests to move on from hosting.
We have ambitious plans to increase the number of guests we host, but this is only going to be possible if we provide ways in which guests can move on from their temporary hosting placements. With increasing numbers of housing providers and advice services being overwhelmed, we plan to develop our own support for our guests who self-refer into Refugees at Home.
The new Housing and Move-on Manager will be able to fully shape the service we offer, working closely with our Placement Team Manager to understand the needs and challenges of our guests. You’ll be working with Placement Coordinators to help them understand and create realistic move on plans for our guests.
You will be building excellent relationships with housing and hostel accommodation providers across the UK to find new ways of finding ongoing accommodation for our guests. You’ll use your knowledge and experience of statutory housing duties to ensure those we host who are entitled to support receive it. You’ll be working with guests and our Placement team to upskill them on avenues to privately renting accommodation.
This is likely to be a role which changes over time, so we are looking for someone ready for this, bringing innovative solutions so that we can ensure that hosting remains a temporary stop gap for refugees.
Our work is underpinned by trauma-informed working, and you will be continuing this through your work with guests.

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver live training workshops as part of our Safer Gambling Training and Worksafe programmes. It will also involve the live facilitation of Lived Experience sessions with our Experts by Experience.
This role gives the postholder the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of those affected by gambling harms, by educating gambling operator staff and workplace colleagues to be able to better spot the early markers of harm, and to interact in a more effective manner.

As a self-employed Associate Trainer, acceptance of work offered will be dependent on availability and other commitments. We currently offer between 1-4 days contracted work per month, although we anticipate this will increase.

Specialist Behavioural Support Workers are responsible for the customer's emotional, psychological wellbeing as well as providing support to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs. At Nimrod House, this will include providing physical, emotional, domestic, and social care. The Skies And Seas Hydrogen-fuels Accelerator (SASHA) Coalition aims to unify aviation and shipping to raise awareness of the vital role of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide from direct air capture in the decarbonisation of these two sectors. The Coalition is now well established with 5 exciting company members on the cutting edge of climate innovation. We are now moving into the next phase of work and are seeking to recruit a Senior Director to ensure that the Coalition achieves maximum impact. As Senior Director, you will have the opportunity to shape the decarbonisation of two large sectors: aviation and shipping. You could be instrumental in helping move these sectors to truly sustainable fuels, side-stepping non-solutions like biofuels and LNG. This is a fantastic role for someone who wants to combine their passions for supporting ambitious companies in their climate journey with directing and shaping policy.
You will manage a team of brilliant policy and corporate engagement experts as they work with the SASHA Coalition’s membership and seek to influence policymakers. We are looking for someone who can think strategically about growing the Coalition to ensure it maintains its ambition while increasing membership.
You will report to the Chief Strategy & Impact Officer (though in the immediate term to the CEO during a period of parental leave). The team will be growing over the next year and you will have the chance to direct the growth of the team. With elections approaching in the UK and the EU, you will also shape and execute the strategy to influence the next UK Government and EU Commission.

What we offer
The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of £80,000 plus 10% employer-contributed pension. Please note that OG has fixed salary scales, with the possibility of step increases with strong performance. The post holder will lead and manage the Financial Planning and Reporting team and will work closely with key internal colleagues, other governmental departments, and external bodies to ensure that Ofqual’s resources, financial or otherwise, are utilised efficiently. - Manage and report on cash flow (by investigating variances and resolving areas of risk as far as possible)
- Monitor and ensure financial analysis and reporting is maintained and developed in all key Income, Pay and Non-pay areas (with a key focus on contribution and compliance)
- Lead and manage the budget and reforecast setting and monitoring processes and the generation of the medium and long-term financial plan within the planning cycle, ensuring that it delivers financial targets and incorporates all activities the organisation is, or is planning to be, involved in
- Work closely with all budget holders and staff with financial / procurement responsibility routinely (e.g. regular and ad hoc reviews) to ensure that spending is controlled and remains within the agreed budget at all times
- Collaborate with the Senior Financial Operations and Compliance Manager to manage all internal and external auditing activities across the organisation relating to financial controls, systems and processes and specifically ensure compliance with Financial Regulations
- Control, monitor and report on all project expenditure to key stakeholders against the relevant programme budget / allocation on a routine basis
The successful candidate will have:
- A full CCAB or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ experience of budget setting, forecasting and financial reporting within an organisation of similar or greater complexity and size to that of Ofqual.
- Demonstrable experience of leading a finance team, with proven ability to lead by example, inspire, motivate and develop staff and manage performance.
- A successful track record of working with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective, open and productive working relationships.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel proficiently including advanced skills (e.g. vlookup, sumif, countif, and creating and manipulating pivot tables).

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Hitchin shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. About You
You will be someone with exceptional people skills, a leader who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering.
