IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) is a UK-registered animal welfare charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need. As a small charity, who has big plans, we can’t do it without the support of volunteers and fundraisers. That’s where you come in.

Help Us Launch Our Postal Donation Project & Secure Business Sponsorship!

Are you a dynamic, results-driven individual with a passion for animal welfare and fundraising? Do you have experience in corporate relationships or securing sponsorships? Join our team and make a significant impact by helping us fund our exciting Postal Donation Project!

As part of our dedicated volunteer team, you’ll play a key role in enabling us to send donation packs to our supporters, who will fill them with preloved items and return them to us for our monthly auctions. But we need your expertise to secure the funding to make this project possible.

What You'll Do:

• Develop a Sponsorship Package: Create a compelling sponsorship proposal that outlines the benefits for businesses to support our project.

• Reach Out to Businesses: Approach local and national businesses for sponsorships, highlighting how their support will make a meaningful difference to our cause.

• Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with corporate sponsors, ensuring they feel appreciated and valued for their contribution.

• Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside other team members to ensure the successful execution of the project, including tracking donations and managing logistics.

• Help Us Reach Our Goals: Your efforts will enable us to distribute donation packs to supporters, resulting in more valuable items for our auctions and more funds raised for the animals we care for.

What We’re Looking For:

• Fundraising Experience: Ideally, you’ll have some experience in securing sponsorships or working with corporate donors, or a passion to develop these skills.

• Strong Communication Skills: You’ll be confident in reaching out to businesses and building relationships, whether in person, by phone, or via email.

• Organised and Motivated: You’ll need to stay on top of tasks, follow up on leads, and keep detailed records of your communications with sponsors.

• Team Player: You’ll be working with a small dedicated team, so a collaborative attitude is essential.

MINDSET, is a new UK charity on a mission to empower men by providing a safe space to talk, learn, and build crucial life skills. As we prepare for launch, we're seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing our charity, guiding our strategic direction, and ensuring we deliver meaningful impact to men across the country. What you'll do as a Trustee:

• Provide strategic leadership: Help set the charity's direction, develop long-term plans, and ensure our activities align with our mission and vision.

• Ensure good governance: Oversee the charity's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (Charity Commission, Companies House, etc.).

• Oversee financial health: Work with the Treasurer to ensure sound financial management, responsible use of funds, and fundraising strategy.

• Champion our cause: Act as an ambassador for Mindset, advocating for men's mental health and promoting our work.

• Support operational delivery: Provide guidance and oversight to the charity's operations, ensuring programs are effective and impactful.

Who we're looking for:

We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine commitment to our cause. While we are building a diverse board, we are particularly keen to hear from those with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Charity Law & Governance: Understanding of charity regulations, compliance, and best practice.

• Financial Management/Accountancy: Essential for the Treasurer role or general financial oversight.

• Mental Health Expertise: Professionals (e.g., therapists, counsellors, psychologists) or individuals with significant experience in mental health support or peer facilitation.

• Fundraising & Income Generation: Experience in grant writing, corporate partnerships, individual giving, or events.

• Marketing, Communications & Digital: Building brand awareness, managing online presence, and engaging with diverse audiences.

• Safeguarding & Risk Management: Ensuring the safety and well-being of our beneficiaries and volunteers.

• Lived Experience: Individuals with personal experience of mental health challenges and recovery, offering invaluable insight into our beneficiaries' needs.

The Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is a ground-breaking alliance of companies, trade unions and non-governmental organisations working together to improve the lives of workers in international supply chains. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Treasurer to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director. This is a voluntary governance role that plays a key part in overseeing ETI’s financial health and supporting the strategic direction of the organisation.

About the Role

As Treasurer, you will:

• Provide strategic financial oversight and ensure the organisation’s long-term financial viability
• Chair the Finance and Remuneration Sub-Committee
• Oversee budgets, financial reporting, risk management, and compliance
• Work closely with the Chair, CEO, and Senior Finance Manager
• Present key financial reports to the Board and at the Annual General Meeting
• Be available for occasional ad hoc financial advice or input

This role offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen the financial foundation of an organisation that is driving systemic change in global supply chains.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Substantial experience in senior financial leadership, ideally including as a Treasurer or CFO
• An understanding of financial governance in the not-for-profit or NGO sector
• The confidence to challenge and contribute constructively at Board level
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Ideally, experience in international development or ethical trade

Commitment

• Attend four Board meetings annually (virtual or hybrid)
• Chair the Finance and Remuneration Committee (usually two meetings per year)
• Participate in relevant working groups or panels as required
• Engage with senior staff for occasional ad hoc advice

Expenses

This is a voluntary role. However, all Directors are entitled to claim reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred while carrying out their duties, in line with ETI’s expenses policy.

The role

• Host 2 monthly episodes (30 minutes) featuring changemakers, innovators, thought leaders, experts, in the field of climate and sustainability - organisations and individuals from civil society, academia, governments and businesses.
• Research potential guests across key sustainability sectors covering climate education, climate action, climate solutions, finance, environment and natural resources, social justice and more.
• Prepare and conduct research-based, engaging interviews.
• Send personalised guest invitations in liaison with the production team. 
• Edit your episodes and storyboard in line with the episodes' narrative.

Delivery Manager (DM):

We are looking for a Delivery Manager, who can join our new charity start-up and help us build a solid foundation and help to create, design, develop and immpliment our core delivery programmes at Unlock YOUR Potential, providing our key services to those who need it. This includes Employability and Enterprise Programme, Health and Well-Being Programme, Life Skills, Mentoring and Personal Development Programme.

As our Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the delivery and long-term strategy of Unlock YOUR Potential's delivery programmes. You will be responsible for;

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all programmes and services.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to enhance our offerings.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve programme delivery and impact.
• Monitor and report on the outcomes and achievements of our programmes.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during programme delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the delivery team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in programme/project management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for social impact and creating opportunities for those facing socio-economic challenges.

Time Commitment:

• Approximately 6-8 hours per week, with flexibility to fit around your life.​

Leads end-to-end Talent Acquisition (TA) and Onboarding functions, driving strategies to attract, hire, and seamlessly integrate top talent. Manages Team Leaders for Talent Acquisition and Onboarding, ensuring alignment with workforce plans, compliance, and candidate/employee experience excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Talent Leadership

• Develop and execute TA and Onboarding strategies to meet current and future workforce needs, including diversity hiring goals and skills gap mitigation.

• Partner with senior leaders to forecast talent demands, refine employer branding, and align processes with business growth objectives.

Team Management & Development

• Directly manage Team Leaders: Talent Acquisition (recruitment focus), Team Leaders: Onboarding (documentation readiness), and the Workforce Planning Team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight.

• Foster collaboration between the TA, workforce planning, and Onboarding teams to ensure seamless handover from hire to Day 1 readiness.

Recruitment Excellence

• Oversee sourcing, selection, and offer management processes, ensuring efficiency (e.g., time-to-fill ≤30 days) and quality of hire.

• Optimise the use of tools and metrics to drive data-driven recruitment decisions.

Onboarding & Documentation Readiness

• Ensure flawless onboarding processes, including right-to-work checks, contract execution, and pre-employment compliance (e.g., UK right-to-work, GDPR).

• Audit onboarding documentation for accuracy and audit readiness, addressing gaps in collaboration with Legal and Talent Advisory.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

• Ensure adherence to employment laws, data protection regulations, and internal policies across TA and Onboarding.

• Resolve escalated issues (e.g., background check discrepancies).

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with diverse stakeholders to streamline onboarding logistics (e.g., system access, equipment provisioning).

• Advise senior leadership on talent market trends, competitor insights, and process innovations.

Requirements:

• Education & Certification: CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, SHRM-CP, or PHR certification).

• Experience: 8+ years in talent acquisition and onboarding, with 3+ years managing multi-functional teams (TA and Onboarding).

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in relevant systems and programmes.

• Legal Knowledge: Mastery of UK employment law, right-to-work requirements, and GDPR compliance.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor leaders, resolve cross-functional conflicts, and drive process improvements.

• DE&I Focus: Track record of designing inclusive hiring and onboarding practices for underrepresented groups.

“Solta o Jogo” is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Graphic Designer to bring the visual identity of the project to life. From social media graphics to event branding and promotional materials, you will help ensure the festival’s visual storytelling is engaging, inclusive, and aligned with our mission. Position Overview:
The Graphic Designer will play a central role in shaping the visual communications for “Solta o Jogo” and other Quilombo UK initiatives. Working closely with the Creative Director and Marketing team, the designer will conceptualise and produce a range of creative assets across print and digital media. This is an ideal role for someone with strong design skills who is passionate about culture, community, and impactful storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Development:

• Study design briefs and translate project goals into compelling visuals.

• Develop concepts, mock-ups, and final designs for social media, posters, presentations, merchandise, and web content.

• Ensure all graphics are visually cohesive, accessible, and aligned with brand guidelines.

Design Production:

• Use design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality visuals.

• Test designs across various formats (print, digital, mobile).

• Revise designs based on feedback from the team and stakeholders.

• Prepare final graphics and ensure they are formatted correctly for production and distribution.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with copywriters, programme leads, and event coordinators to integrate design into broader communication strategies.

• Present design ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Attend creative planning sessions and contribute visual ideas to campaign strategies.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

 Degree or current studies in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field is desirable.

Experience:

• Proven experience in graphic design, either freelance or in a professional setting.

• A strong portfolio showcasing illustrations, branding, and layout design.

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools.

• Skills:

• Excellent visual design skills and a strong eye for detail, colour, and typography.

• Ability to manage time and priorities independently.

• Comfortable receiving and applying constructive feedback.

• Since its creation, Quilombo UK has collected a great amount of information, evidence and items through projects, fundraisers, events etc.

• We are looking for a team member to find published materials related to Quilombo UK key objectives and interests, especially cultural and racial diversity, and stereotypes in UK communities. The materials include all types of evidence, articles, journals, newspaper columns, local and global news stories. 

• The researcher will help to collect information that can be used as an evidence base to help inform future activities, and also in exhibitions, workshops, and community events. 

• We are looking for a self-starter who can source, collect, and share relevant materials independently. You will also be working closely with our Professional Development Programme participants in relevant areas such as Marketing and PR.

• Provide written reports as and when required. To undertake additional duties as required for the role.

General tasks

• Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

Essential:

• You will need to have good written skills and be able to explain concepts and projects concisely and accurately. 

• You will be self-starting and willing to research the various projects that we have carried out and catalogue all the evidence collected.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.
