Role Summary

As a Governance Officer, you will work closely with the Governance Lead to ensure strong governance practices across Roots Academy. Your role will focus on supporting governance frameworks, policies, and compliance measures to align with charity governance requirements and relevant regulations. You will also play a key role in embedding a culture of governance across the organisation.

Key tasks

Trustee Support

• Assist trustees with governance-related tasks and ensure they have access to relevant policies, guidelines, and resources.
• Direct trustees to appropriate regulatory frameworks, best practices, and governance training materials.

Governance & Compliance Support

• Support the onboarding process for new trustees, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and securely stored.
• Assist in coordinating trustee meetings, including preparation of agendas, accurate minute-taking, and document distribution.
• Maintain key governance registers, such as the register of interests, policy register, and risk register, ensuring timely updates and compliance.

Policy & Risk Management

• Support the Governance Lead in developing and reviewing governance policies, including Conflict of Interest, Risk Management, and Whistleblowing Policies.
• Assist team leads in ensuring policies are implemented effectively and aligned with best practices.
• Help monitor compliance with Charity Commission regulations and the Fundraising Code of Conduct.

Embedding a Governance Culture

• Assist in raising awareness of governance principles across the organisation.
• Support the Governance Lead in organising training sessions or briefings on governance best practices.
• Help integrate governance principles into the organisation’s operations and decision-making processes.

What we’re looking for

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Role Summary.

As a Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of Roots Academy UK. From designing educational resources and social media assets to crafting digital campaigns and event materials, your work will ensure our content reflects excellence, clarity, and spiritual depth. You will help bring Islamic learning to life through purposeful, polished, and impactful design.

Key tasks

• Design Development: Create visually compelling graphics for use across social media, email, web, presentations, and print.

• Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials align with Roots Academy’s brand guidelines and Islamic values.

• Content Support: Collaborate with the social media and education teams to translate ideas and scripts into polished, engaging visuals.

• Template Creation: Build easy-to-edit templates for internal teams to use (e.g., Canva or Google Slides).

• Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on design and content trends, especially within the faith-based and youth development space.

• Project Management: Maintain organized design files and deliver work in a timely manner.

What we’re looking for

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines.

• Experience using tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma.

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.

• Ability to take direction while contributing creative input.

• A deep understanding of Islamic values and visual modesty in design.

• Experience designing for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).

At CPRE, we’re passionate about making the countryside a better place for everyone to enjoy. This flexible, micro-volunteering role is a great way to stand up for the countryside if you don’t have much time to spare! You’ll take quick and easy online actions to support our campaigns from home (or wherever you have internet access!) at a time that suits you.

We're particularly keen to recruit people aged 18 - 30 (although this role is open to everyone!) as we want to being younger voices into our campaigning work.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking explore a career in environmental campaigning and advocacy. By taking easy online actions, you’ll help us to champion environmental issues such as the climate emergency, renewable energy, biodiversity and sustainable transport.

The Chairperson will lead the Executive Committee, ensuring the effective governance and strategic direction of the 25th St. Marks Scout Group. This role is crucial in supporting the Group Scout Leader and ensuring the group meets its objectives.

The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

• make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours
• support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy
• provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

ThinkForward exists to support young people to create better and brighter futures. We want them to be able to identify, realise and shape their aspirations, and be ready to make a successful transition into work.

Young people experiencing barriers such as challenging relationships, living in low-income households, or growing up in areas with a lack of access to opportunities can be confronted with hurdles. Without the right support, these barriers can lead to a high risk of unemployment and long-term effects on career and life chances.

There are more than 900,000 16-24-year-olds in the UK who are not at school or college, or don’t have a job or training place. Our ambition is to prevent young people becoming one of these statistics. In 2025, we will be supporting more than 1,500 young people.

We are looking for new trustees with skills and experience to:

• help to grow our income and support our development team
• help us raise our profile by turning our strong evidence base into policy and campaigns.

You will help drive the progression of successful evidence-based organisation that makes a positive impact on the lives of young people and their communities. We are looking for those who value the potential of young people, are passionate about their growth and development and understand the challenges that some face. An interest in ThinkForward’s work and approach are essential as well as an ambitious outlook for our future.

You will be well respected, have active networks in philanthropy, fundraising and statutory development or in policy and campaigning which has generated systemic change. You will have a proven track record of working at a senior and strategic level and will understand the governance and risk management requirements of the role.

You will also be keen to act as a representative, spokesperson and cause leader creating and identifying donors and business opportunities for ThinkForward.

Role Summary.

We are looking for a creative and strategic Email Marketing Strategist to develop and guide our overall email marketing approach. You will be responsible for designing audience journeys, setting objectives, and working with the marketing team to ensure our emails are impactful and aligned with Roots Academy’s mission. This is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in shaping how we engage with our global community.

Key tasks

• Develop and oversee the email marketing strategy to support Roots Academy’s goals.

• Design audience journeys and lifecycle email flows (welcome sequences, event reminders, etc.).

• Define KPIs and performance metrics for email campaigns.

• Provide strategic direction to the Email Marketing Officer and content team.

• Suggest and plan A/B testing, segmentation strategies, and personalization tactics.

• Stay informed about email marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

What we’re looking for

• Passion for Islamic education and the development of young Muslims.

• Experience or training in developing email marketing strategies.

• Understanding of customer journeys, funnel marketing, and audience segmentation.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make recommendations.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strategic thinker with a proactive, self-driven attitude.
