About EPAfrica
EPAfrica (Education Partnerships Africa) is a volunteer-led charity working in partnership with rural secondary schools in East Africa. Our focus is on a win:win approach to skills development and capacity building. We recruit, train and support graduates in the UK to develop leadership and project management skills, while working in partnership with rural schools in East Africa to create sustainable improvements in education by investing in people, resources, infrastructure, and local capacity. Project Managers play an essential role in this work, engaging directly with schools, developing a strong understanding of the local context, and supporting meaningful, long-term projects.
Our volunteers work closely with schools to co-create solutions that enhance educational quality and expand opportunity for young people.
Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you’ll be a central leader within EPAfrica’s Summer Team. You’ll oversee Project Associates in their school placements, deliver high-impact training, coordinate programme delivery, and act as a key link between our UK team and our in-country projects. It’s a dynamic leadership role that blends operational management, pastoral care, and strategic decision-making.
Most importantly, you will help develop future global leaders, guiding PAs through experiences that shape their confidence, judgement, and understanding of international development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management

Directly manage volunteers in-country, including Project Associates and the coordinator team.

Lead Project Associates through their summer placements, offering guidance, structure, and motivation.

Build strong partnerships with schools, managing expectations and setting boundaries for accommodation, travel and other logistics. This can include discussions around finances, travel and dietary requirements.
Training & Capacity Building

With the support of coordinators, deliver training on project management, risk management, cultural awareness and responsible international capacity building.

Create a psychologically safe and collaborative space for all volunteers and facilitate reflective discussions that strengthen leadership, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding.
Pastoral Support

Act as the first point of contact for PA wellbeing, helping volunteers navigate challenges and thrive during their placements.
Programme Oversight

Monitor project progress and help PAs resolve operational issues.

Ensure investments align with EPAfrica’s mission and theory of change.
Monitoring & Evaluation

Conduct school visits to assess impact and gather data for future decision-making.

We are looking for a volunteer tutor to support Shalom, a Year 11 student preparing for his GCSE Maths (Edexcel) and Science (AQA Chemistry and Physics) exams in summer 2026.
Shalom is polite, hardworking and keen to learn. He uses Sparx Maths and other revision materials but needs help building confidence and working through questions step by step.
Tutoring is one hour a week, on Sunday (any time) or Monday after 4:00 PM, via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.

Windsor Horse Rangers is looking for a new Chair to lead our Board of Trustees. Our aim is to enhance Life Skills through Horse Skills.
Windsor Horse Rangers is based in Fifield near Windsor, Berkshire. The trustees, staff and volunteers are focused on providing a sustainable, inclusive and educative environment for 8–18 year olds to develop skills to ride and care for horses.
We have 180 Horse Rangers attending weekly to learn horsemanship working with our 24 horses. We offer equine education in a safe and supportive environment that engages and empowers and which develops wider life skills, emotional resilience and positive wellbeing. Many of our rangers have gone on to careers in equestrianism.
Our committed team of trustees are looking for a volunteer chair to lead and support the team, help with decision-making to deliver our mission, challenge us and bring fresh thinking to the role.
We are looking for a supportive leader who can bring experience from either another charitable environment or the commercial world. Your responsibilities will include, providing leadership and ideas for the organisation and giving strategic direction to ensure a sustainable future. You will represent and act as a spokesperson for the charity and chair and facilitate meetings of the trustees. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to apply their own skills and experience to enhance the life skills of young people and support a charitable institution. A love and knowledge of horses is a bonus but not a pre-requisite.
The ideal candidate would live locally so could attend face to face trustees meetings.

The Events Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Hidayah’s events and activities. Working closely with the Events Officer and wider team, this role ensures that all events run smoothly, are well-promoted, inclusive, and aligned with Hidayah’s mission. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful community experiences.
What are the key responsibilities of this role?
This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:
1. Event Planning & Delivery
· Support the Events Officer in planning, organising, and delivering a range of events, both online and in person
· Liaise with venues and caterers to confirm logistics, costs, and facilities, ensuring value for money and guest satisfaction
· Manage event listings and guest registrations through OutSavvy, ensuring all attendees have active Hidayah memberships
· Assist with event setup, registration, and on-the-day coordination, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment
· Support with risk assessments, accessibility considerations, and general event compliance
2. Marketing & Communications
· Collaborate with the Social Media team to schedule and promote events across Hidayah’s social channels
· Create or support the design of promotional materials and graphics using Canva
· Draft event descriptions, newsletter content, and updates for review by the Events Officer
· Coordinate the monthly newsletter, liaising with the Social Media team to finalise and distribute
· Engage partner charities, community groups, and networks to share event information via email and social media
3. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
· Build and maintain relationships with organisations, partners, and individuals aligned with Hidayah’s mission
· Send thank-you messages to venues, partners, and attendees following events
· Distribute and collect feedback forms, compiling responses to support continuous improvement
· Represent Hidayah at community events and networking opportunities where appropriate
4. Administrative Support
· Maintain and update the contact database and event records
· Manage the Events Team inbox, responding to or triaging queries promptly
· Attend regular Events Team meetings, contributing updates and ideas
· Track and report on event expenses and participation data as required
