Thirtyone:eight, the UK’s leading Independent Christian Safeguarding charity, is looking for an IT volunteer to assist our System Support.  They will support the IT team by enhancing and supporting existing PowerApps for reliability and performance, conducting unit testing and end-to-end testing, coordinating with end users for User Acceptance Testing and user training, and writing documentation such as user guides.

Specific Responsibilities

• Triage support calls in internal ticketing system
• Provide first line of support including answering customer support calls
• Work to functional specifications provided by the Senior Developers
• Integrate PowerApps with other Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) and third-party tools where applicable. 
• Write and follow test plans
• Monitor PowerApps processes and report any anomalies
• Report generation

ScreenSkills launched its five-year strategy in Autumn 2024. To support the successful execution of that strategy, we are seeking new committee members who have a broad mix of industry experience to join the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. The primary responsibilities of the committee are to provide ScreenSkills with critical oversight over the organisation’s financial health, internal controls and risk management. The Committee also offers council and insight on strategic, transformational, growth, legal, data and technology matters as required.

The committee members play a vital role in safeguarding the current and future financial health and integrity of ScreenSkills and in supporting the Board in meeting its fiduciary and legal responsibilities, thereby ensuring that the organisation can deliver its core purpose, vision and strategy. Main Responsibilities (collectively as part of the committee):

• Review the draft ScreenSkills Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and make recommendations to the Board.
• Review financial reports, budgets, management accounts and KPIs to ensure clarity, accuracy and accountability.
• Monitor performance against budget and targets
• Advise on reserves policy, approve investment and funding strategies in line with ScreenSkills objectives.
• Monitor and review the ScreenSkills risk register and advise on appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure an effective risk management approach.
• Ensure compliance with charity law, financial regulations and reporting obligations (e.g. Charity Commission).
• Liaise with auditors and review external audit findings and recommendations.
• Support and constructively challenge the ScreenSkills executive team in financial and risk-related decisions.
• Optional opportunity to support senior management on ad hoc projects linked to the execution of the strategy

Reports to: The Finance, Audit and Risk Committee Chair

Location: Hybrid / In person / different locations around the UK

Commitment: 3-year term (which can be renewed) / Committee meetings x 5 per year

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Desirable skills and experiences:

Senior Leadership experience covering areas such as:

• Experience in finance, audit, legal, technology, accounting, or risk management, ideally within or alongside the non-profit/charity sector.
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Knowledge of governance and financial regulations.
• Experience assessing organisational risk, internal controls and compliance systems.
• Expertise/expert knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

Single Parents Support and Advice Services is a Charitable Incorporated Company with over 35000 members UK wide. 

Our charity founder and director, Nicola Booth, took the initiative to set up SPSAS in 2012, with the purpose to reduce isolation, loneliness, and to promote equal and fair treatment amongst Single Parents and their Children. Role Overview
As a Volunteer Social Media Designer at Barefoot and Free, you will be responsible for creating engaging visual content for our social media platforms. You will work closely with the team to develop visuals that reflect our mission values and ongoing projects.

About the Role
We are seeking a volunteer Head of HR to lead and oversee our HR function at a pivotal time in YouthAdvantage UK’s ambition to become a registered charity.

What We're Looking For

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
•Solid operational HR experience, ideally across generalist and specialist areas such as recruitment, employee relations/law, L&D, and policy.
•Previous line management experience, with a demonstrable record of supporting and developing HR team members or volunteers.
•A practical, sleeves-rolled-up approach - someone who is hands-on, accessible, and able to get things done in a busy, volunteer-led environment.
•A strategic mindset, but also the willingness to dig into day-to-day HR activity and problem-solving.
•A collaborative, coaching-ready attitude - this is a great opportunity for someone who has enough experience to stand on their own feet, but is open to being coached by the Chief People Officer to further develop their leadership style.
•Good communication and people skills, with the ability to work across different functions and with a wide range of volunteers.
•An interest in or understanding of the third sector and volunteer engagement is a bonus, but not essential.

We want to ensure that volunteering with us does not feel too daunting, so the exact tasks might

vary depending on your circumstances. However, some typical tasks may include:

· Asking people you know who might be willing to have a collection box in their business

· Approaching local businesses to display the boxes and collect loose change from their customers

· Building and maintaining relationships with your box holders to inspire loyalty and encourage people to continue giving year after year

· Collecting the boxes in your area as and when required and taking to your YBTC contact

Founded in 2003 and originally named Andrea’s Gift and later Brain Tumour Research and Support

Across Yorkshire, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) is Yorkshire and Humber’s leading

brain tumour charity. Offering practical, financial and emotional support to both adult and child

brain tumour patients, together with their families.

We fund brain tumour research in Yorkshire; we hope this research, dedicated to identifying new

approaches to the discovery and treatment of brain tumours, will improve outcomes for patients.

At YBTC we are a small team who are growing to meet the needs of those affected by a brain

tumour in Yorkshire. Around 15 new cases of primary brain tumour are diagnosed in the region

every week.

Thank you for your interest to become a Fosterer at Cats Protection! We are looking for volunteers to foster cats and kittens in the South Ayrshire area of Scotland.

The difference you will make to cats and people

From elderly moggies to energic kittens, every day across the UK cats and kittens are in need of a temporary place to stay, and lots of love and TLC! We need more fosterers like you to provide a safe, temporary haven for cats and kittens and provide them with everything they need before they get their chance to land on their four paws and make a house a home.

You can expect us to

• Make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours
• Support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• Ensure you have all you need in place to foster the cat(s) in your care, for example equipment and food
• Cover all your foster cats’ expenses and agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy
• Provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities

What we need from you

• You must live in the South Ayrshire area of Scotland
• A stable, safe and compassionate environment in your home (separate room minimum size 3.6m squared - essential to meet UK animal welfare standards)
• Enrich the cats’ experience in care including play, exercise and appropriate handling/interaction
• A willingness to complete some training in order to provide high standards of cat welfare
• Introduce cats to prospective adopters so they can find their forever home

Time expectation

Our volunteer fosterers usually spend around one and a half hours per day (around 10 to 13 hours per week) in this role, but this might vary depending on the number of cats or kittens in care.
