Are you a qualified Yoga Instructor who would enjoy facilitating weekly sessions to help individuals with their general well-being. This is an opportunity for you to share techniques with others.
Practicing yoga and mindfulness aim to quiet the mind in order to cultivate a deeper connection to and understanding of oneself. They both help with breathing techniques, pay attention to bodily sensations and learn to accept reality as it is in that moment. Mindfulness refers to focusing your attention on what you are experiencing in the present moment without judging yourself. Practicing yoga has been shown to increase mindfulness not just in class session, but in other areas of a person's life.
What you will be doing
- Design session plans enabling all group members to increase fitness, suppleness and help them relax
- Teach the group yoga postures and breathing techniques which allow a range of mixed ages and abilities to participate
- Inspire and motivate people to attend and get involved in the group activities where possible and encourage the group to help design future sessions
- Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback and report any concerns to the staff team

- Skilled and qualified Yoga Instructor
- Good communication skills

Our busy Homework Club is part of our delivery of child and family support services, in order that low income and vulnerable families have improved access to services, employment opportunities and life chances.
In response to requests from parents and young people, the Centre provides after-school Homework and Study clubs during term time. Children from three local primary schools, and a few from Year 7 attend the club. Many come from families where English is a second language.
Volunteers sit on a table with 1 or 2 children and provide help with their homework, maths and English work mostly, and some reading. Volunteers commit to one session a week on Friday (3.30 – 5.30pm).
Our Mission
Each Person Matters: The Cardinal Hume Centre enables families, children and young people to overcome poverty and avoid homelessness.
What are we looking for?
- Ideally you have some experience in teaching, either professionally, voluntary or at home with your own children.
- You are friendly, patient and can have rapport with children easily.
- Able to help with maths and English at primary school level.
What is the time commitment?
- Ideally at least one academic term
- Fridays, 3.30 – 5.30pm at The Cardinal Hume Centre and we are trialing an outreach sessions at a local Library & Hotel on otger weekdays
How will you be supported?
- You will be supported by the Family Services staff team.
- You will have access to wide range of e-learning topics. Child safeguarding and fire safety awareness is mandatory for all new volunteers.
- You will be reimbursed for travel expenses.

Why we want you
At Together Trust we are fortunate to have outdoor spaces that are well maintained with lawns mowed and hedges trimmed, but we would love to bring a bit more life and interest to them!
We believe in the benefits of colourful and inviting outdoor areas for the mental health of the children, young people, and staff who use those spaces, and in the sensory stimulation and understanding gained from growing herbs and edible produce. We need someone with gardening know-how and expertise to help us make that a reality!

As a Marketing & Communications Assistant, you will work closely with the Project Leader to spread the word about our amazing Akioke Karaoke Confidence Club. You'll help us promote the club to potential members, volunteers, and the wider community, ensuring its success and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist the Project Leader draft engaging text for promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, website content).
- Social Media Support: Help schedule and post content on relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook groups, local community pages).
- Community Outreach: Identify local community groups, centres, schools, and organisations that could benefit from our club, and assist with distributing promotional materials.
- Information Gathering: Research relevant online forums, notice boards, and events where we can promote the club.
- Feedback Collection: Assist in gathering testimonials or feedback from members (with appropriate consent) to use in promotional efforts.
- Administrative Support: Help organise and maintain marketing materials and contact lists.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Creative and has a good eye for engaging content.
- Organised and attentive to detail.
- Familiar with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
- Proactive and able to take initiative with guidance.
- Reliable and able to commit to agreed-upon tasks.
- Passionate about the club's mission and helping us reach new audiences.
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, or social media is a bonus but not essential – a willingness to learn is most important!
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 2-4 hours per week, with tasks that can often be completed remotely or during mutually agreed-upon times, in collaboration with the Project Leader.

Our charity shops raise vital funds that support the wide range of services Age UK delivers, so if you have some free time available and would like to help, we’d love to hear from you! Whether you are looking to gain new skills and experiences, use those you already have or are just looking for a way to get out and meet new people, then we have flexible options to suit you!
What will you be doing?
Volunteer Shop Assistants carry out a wide range of tasks in their roles. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, keeping our shop floor full and organised or supporting with raffle ticket sales and promoting gift aid.
How would you be supported in this role?
When you begin your role, you will receive a mix of e-learning and in-person training to get you started. Throughout the role, you will receive refresher training as required as well as ongoing support, reimbursement for role-related expenses and the opportunity to further shape the volunteering you do.
Why do we need volunteers in this role?
Age UK operates charity shops to raise funds for the delivery of services for older people in need. Volunteers play a key role in the shop team, ensuring our shops are welcoming places in the community and selling the items that are generously donated to our organisation.
