About the role

In this busy role, you’ll assist in the delivery of legacy marketing campaigns

channels across a range of channels, including digital, telemarketing, legacy events and direct mail, and help to promote gifts in wills to internal audiences too. You’ll be allocated your own campaigns to project manage and you’ll monitor income, expenditure and KPI’s for all activity.

You’ll provide support for the administration of gifts in wills, including managing both legacy enquiries and legacy notifications, ensuring these are handled efficiently and to agreed timescales. This is a great role within a growing legacy program that will build your legacy and direct marketing skills and give you plenty of opportunity for development.

With combined individual giving income growing strongly and expected to reach £31 million in 2026-27, this is the perfect time to join an experienced and effective individual giving team.

About you

You’ll have some experience of working in a similar environment such as fundraising, marketing, sales or customer services, or have experience of managing your own projects.

You enjoy the variety of working on campaigns across a range of channels seeing

the results of your work. As a well-organised person with great communication

skills, you’ll be at ease liaising with external suppliers and in-house stakeholders across the charity to support the delivery of legacy marketing campaigns. Your close attention to detail will ensure accuracy with campaign reports, record keeping and invoice processing. And you’ll be able to use your excellent writing skills to craft copy that inspires both internal and external audiences about gifts in wills.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

The salary range is:

This role requires someone with experience in legacy administration and promotion and/or in memory fundraising, as well as excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset. We need someone with previous experience in relationship management and income generation - ideally within a legacy and/or in memory setting - who is able to lead and inspire our supporters and staff in order to generate long term income and awareness for the charity.

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Lead the development and delivery of legacy marketing and in-memory fundraising strategies to drive sustained income growth and supporter retention
• Be self-motivated, independent and target-driven
• Act as the subject matter expert on legacy administration and in-memory giving, providing guidance, training, and mentoring while promoting a strong culture of philanthropy
• Manage all aspects of legacy casework, including complex and contentious cases, ensuring effective stakeholder relationships and full compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice standards
• Oversee data management, reporting, and analysis to generate insights, improve processes, and support accurate forecasting and long-term financial planning
• Collaborate across teams to maximise fundraising opportunities, enhance donor engagement across channels, and deliver impactful events and integrated giving initiatives

The Role

• Deliver and develop our legacy and in-memory giving programme, helping to grow this significant area of our fundraising income
• Plan and deliver acquisition and stewardship campaigns for legacy and in-memory supporters across a range of channels

University Hospitals Birmingham Charity consists of four hospital charities supporting some of the busiest hospitals in Birmingham – Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.

Being in hospital can be really tough physically and emotionally. This is why our hospital charities do as much as they can to help patients and their families feel as supported as possible during their treatment.

Each hospital charity provides the added extras that are "over and above" what the NHS can fund as standard. This includes life-saving equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, training and research, as well as free accommodation and patient comforts.

Across UHB Charity we are currently raising funds for a Total Body PET CT Scanner as well as our Children's and Newborn Appeals and Home from Home accommodation for civilians and military personnel, to name just a few.

As a Legacy Administrator you will help us raise much needed funds that will make a real difference to our patients and their families.

JOB SUMMARY

This role is primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with the expectation of occasional travel to other hospital sites.

This post is within the Fundraising Team at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, which is the official charity of Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, Solihull Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

This is a new role within the Charity Team. In this role, you will be a crucial part in ensuring that all legacies to the charity are administered in a timely and sensitive manner, maintaining and building great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role will involve occasional evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Officer responsible for Legacies to actively manage a varied caseload
• Handle a mixture of pecuniary, residuary and reversionary legacy cases
• Tailor your approach to each case depending on the circumstances, having a flexible approach whilst ensuring that all gifts are administered in a timely manner
• Work to optimise University Hospitals Birmingham Charity legacy income where appropriate
• Ensure that all bequests to UHB Charity are received and utilised, in accordance with UHB Charity policies
• Maintain your knowledge of current legislation
• Play an active role in the wider legacy team and promoting Gifts in Wills where necessary
• Working alongside the Stewardship Team, ensuring accurate data inputting and correspondence both written and verbal with supporters
• Managing and prioritising unpredictable and frequently interrupted busy workload.
• Working with and deliver clear objectives and key performance indicators.
•  Proactively contributing to the achievement of targets and the ongoing fundraising success of the Charity as a whole and to be a supportive, effective and collegiate team member.

COMMUNICATION

• Relaying accurate and timely information to the fundraising team, communications team, grants team and stewardship team. Communicating with donors and fundraisers.
• Dealing with enquiries from the general public, disseminating information and ensuring that the appropriate action is taken, whilst maintaining the Charity’s policies and procedures

ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining Raiser's Edge donor management system. Accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising, thank you letters and general archiving, production and upkeep of databases. 

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to present oneself in a professional manner as a representative of the hospital and the charity.
•  To maintain confidentiality in all aspects of duty including fundraiser and donor data.
•  To assist in maintaining accurate records and to complete and return as requested statistical data.
• To maintain an accurate effective database, recording essential information and providing statistical data in accordance with guidelines and policy using Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Office, Word and Access.
• To represent the Charity in a variety of different contexts and to a variety of different audiences.
• To ensure that a positive image of the hospital and the Charity is projected at all times.
• To hold a flexible approach to working hours (the role will require the post holder to work evenings and weekends as necessary).
• To hold a flexible approach to work when asked to take on other fundraising or admin duties when the team needs to cover holidays, or at times of workload pressure. 
• To adopt a supportive and collegiate approach when working with the fundraising team and other colleagues within the hospital.

The Legacy Administrator will also carry out other projects and duties as directed by the Head of Fundraising, Director of Fundraising and Charity Chief Executive.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior fundraising professional who combines strategic thinking with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making a tangible difference.

The Fundraising Manager will lead on the development and growth of several key income streams, including:

Working in close partnership with SUDEP Action's other Fundraising Manager (who oversees Community fundraising, Trusts and Grants and other aspects of our in-memory giving), the postholder will also share responsibility for the development, delivery and performance of wider fundraising activity across the charity.

A significant aspect of this role will involve re-engaging existing high-value supporters while identifying and cultivating new prospects. The ideal candidate will be confident networking, opening doors, building meaningful relationships and inspiring people to support a cause that may be unfamiliar to them.

The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including fundraising colleagues, the CEO, and wider management team, drawing upon their expertise to develop effective fundraising plans, test assumptions and ensure the charity is represented professionally, authentically and consistently.

Given the nature of SUDEP Action's work, the role also requires sensitivity, empathy and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people affected by epilepsy and bereavement.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This senior role requires flexibility in working hours and location.  It is primarily offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham, Buckinghamshire, office each week. As part of the role, UK and overseas travel is necessary, which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays. We have policies in place to ensure that any unsociable hours worked over the weekend are fairly compensated through TOIL.

Ormiston Academies Trust is looking for an exceptional Head of Executive Office and Communications to sit at the heart of our organisation — running our Executive Office and shaping how we communicate with 45 schools, our staff, and the wider world.

In this dual role, you'll act as trusted adviser to our CEO and Deputy CEO, managing correspondence, priorities and special projects across the Trust. You'll lead our entire communications agenda including internal, external, press and public affairs, building a strategy that helps every one of our schools feel connected to our mission, and that raises Ormiston's voice and influence across the education sector.

You'll work closely with our National Leadership Group, Principals and senior leaders, and you'll have real scope to shape how a large, multi-layered organisation talks to itself and to the outside world.

About you

You'll bring senior leadership experience, ideally gained managing a press office or public affairs function, and you'll be confident operating as a trusted adviser to CEO-level and Principal-level stakeholders. You'll have a track record managing communications across multiple channels in a large, complex organisation, and be a confident user of technology and AI, with a clear view of how AI will change communications and administration. Experience in education, the public sector, or working with ministers, regulators or national media would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to distil complex information for different audiences and communicate it clearly and simply. You'll bring calm, decisive leadership under pressure, including experience managing high-profile issues or reputational risk. This role requires you to combine excellent project management with the ability to build and sustain relationships across an organisation and beyond it.

Role purpose and scope

The role has key responsibility for all larger fundraising activities and corporate grants at Swindon Food Collective. This includes high-profile networking with large businesses, PLC's, and corporations, processing commercial grant applications, developing, nurturing, and managing key corporate partnerships and significantly increasing corporate fundraising activities (e.g., sponsorships, developing commercial fundraising pitches, securing commercial grants, and developing a commercial income pipeline).

This exciting role involves undertaking frequent travel to large corporations and businesses (including local, regional or national head office locations) and pitching for sponsorship / presenting significant fundraising opportunities to senior stakeholders. This role will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Chair of our Fundraising Committee (Trustee).

Key responsibilities

Lead Corporate Grant Fundraising. Secure Funding Opportunities from Trusts and Foundations

· Develop a new corporate grant funding pipeline, building a database of corporate grant funding opportunities that ultimately helps to recure new revenue.

· Lead, prepare and write new compelling corporate grant applications to secure new funds from Foundations, Trusts, Corporations, etc., track and report organisational progress.

· Ensure timely and high-quality funder reporting and relationship management, developing lasting opportunities with funders.

· Capture and record impact evidence from new funding opportunities to strengthen charity impact reporting and data collection.

Developing New Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship

· Identify, cultivate and secure new corporate partnerships and sponsorships to attract new revenue into the charity to help support and fund either on-going operational expenditure or crisis support packages.

· Design a corporate partnership package (including defining partner benefits, a corporate presentation pitch to senior board members of prospective funders, and a set of simplified funding options for new partners.

· Build and steward relationships with high-value supporters, ensuring excellent donor care and personalised stewardship, supporting ongoing partnership engagement.

· Produce compelling cases for support and pitch materials tailored to different audiences

Philanthropy, Major Donors and Relationship Fundraising

· Manage a prospect pipeline (research, cultivation plans, asks, stewardship and renewals).

· Establish new relationships with relevant stakeholders to encourage legacy donations (e.g., gifts in wills, giving in memory, etc.) providing relevant appreciation support and messaging.

· Support and grow corporate philanthropy opportunities to raise funds for charity projects.

Digital, Fundraising Platforms and Planning

· Build a balanced digital-led fundraising income mix (e.g., corporate, philanthropy, trusts, and community), as well as establishing and managing all digital fundraising platforms on behalf of Swindon Food Collective (e.g., Charities Aid Foundation, Crowdfunder, Fundraise Up, GoFundMe, JustGiving, WhyDonate, EasyFundraising, Spacehive, GiveTap, etc.)

· Develop and deliver an 18-month income generation plan aligned to SFC priorities and the Trustee Strategy & Fundraising Committee.

Performance Management, Systems and Compliance

· Manage income forecasting, budgeting and ROI tracking; set and monitor KPIs and provide clear reporting to CEO/Board.

· Maintain accurate records in the CRM (or agreed system), ensuring GDPR compliance and strong data quality.

· Ensure fundraising activity aligns with relevant fundraising standards and ethical practice.

· Awareness of Fundraising Regulator and accreditation process.

General

· Team player and an active supporter of Swindon Food Collective values and culture.

· Ability to work flexibly and creatively, being innovative and supporting new initiatives.

· Happy to assist when appropriate to support other areas of the organisation ad hoc such as occasional support with events, public functions, and team training (as appropriate).

Person specification

Essential

· Proven track record of corporate fundraising and understanding of corporate grant applications and process, highlight previous successes and the potential for Swindon Food Collective.

· Demonstratable experience delivering previous significant income growth for charities through fundraising, partnerships or business development.

· Experience developing and implementing an income generation strategy across multiple streams (e.g., corporate, trusts, major donors, individual giving).

· Familiarity with the majority of Digital Charitable Platforms and demonstratable previous successes.

· Commercial acumen: confident with budgets, forecasting, KPIs and ROI monitoring.

· Experience acquiring funding via Charitable and Corporate Foundations

· Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

· Excellent written skills (cases for support, bids, grants, proposals, reports).

· Ability to work at pace in a small charity and be both strategic and hands-on.

· High integrity and commitment to ethical fundraising and data protection.

Desirable

· Experience of significant corporate funding raising gather from charities involved with addressing food poverty, social welfare or a comparable community-based charity environment.

· Experience presenting to Trustee Boards and Sub-Committees and working effectively with trustees.

About the role:

The Fundraising Manager will play a key role in securing sustainable income to enable Amber to achieve its mission. Working closely with the CEO, you will develop and deliver fundraising across a diverse range of income streams, building strong relationships with funders, supporters and partners.

As Amber's sole fundraising professional, you will lead all aspects of income generation, building on established income streams such as trusts and foundations, community fundraising, individual giving and events, while developing income streams that are at an earlier stage, including legacy giving and corporate sponsorship. REMAP is a national charity which helps disabled people across the UK, achieve greater independence and a better quality of life. Our community of volunteer engineers design and create equipment when no commercial alternative exists – at no charge to the individuals we help. We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Director for Communities, Campaigns and Fundraising to lead how the Trust builds public support, enables community action, influences political and civic decisions and generates sustainable income across Yorkshire. You will bring senior-level experience of integrating communications, marketing and public affairs, together with a strong record of developing audiences, propositions and campaigns that convert interest into participation, advocacy, income and long-term support. You will use audience insight, customer relationship management systems, segmentation and digital engagement to strengthen supporter journeys, conversion, retention and loyalty, while growing sustainable income across membership, giving, appeals, legacies, philanthropy, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, visitor income and appropriate commercial opportunities.

You will lead through four Heads of Service covering Supporter Engagement, Fundraising, Communications and Public Affairs, and Visitor Services. As a member of our established and diverse Senior Leadership Team, you will set direction, create alignment, strengthen capability and hold the Directorate accountable for delivery. You will also work closely with our vibrant, engaged and supportive Trustee Board and play an active part in The Wildlife Trusts federation.
