Trans Celebration is a trans-led grassroots organisation based in the UK, dedicated to uplifting trans and gender-diverse communities through celebration, advocacy, and education. Our monthly campaigns use creative media like fashion, beauty, and the arts to highlight gender diversity and improve visibility, inclusion, and access to resources.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic SEO Specialist Volunteer to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most.

Job Summary

The SEO Specialist Volunteer will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and searchability of Trans Celebration’s website and digital content. This volunteer will work alongside the marketing team to implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, improve site structure, and analyse web performance—all to ensure our content reaches a broader audience and amplifies trans voices online.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct keyword research to inform website content and campaign strategies.

· Optimise existing content for improved search engine ranking (meta tags, headers, alt text, etc.).

· Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.

· Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with web/content teams to resolve them.

· Assist in developing backlink strategies and improving domain authority.

· Support the content team in creating SEO-optimised blogs and pages.

· Provide monthly reports on SEO performance and suggest improvements.

· Stay up to date with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Competencies:

· Understanding of SEO principles and search engine algorithms.

· Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Moz, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.

· Ability to perform keyword research and competitor analysis.

· Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (especially WordPress).

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Solid written communication and reporting skills.

Bonus Experience (Not Required):

· Previous experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or technical SEO.

· Familiarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive web design.

· Experience working with or volunteering for LGBTQIA+ organisations.

• Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
• Receiving donated goods from members of the public
• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale

• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
• Processing sales and serving on the till
• Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
• Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
• Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers

Volunteering is and always will be at the heart of Cats Protection. It is joyful and inclusive. As a charity, working in partnership, together we transform the lives of cats, people and communities.

The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

• make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours
• support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection
• cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

What is involved?
This role involves helping out at The Talk Shop making this a warm, friendly place for local people to connect with each other and with Cliik and other community organisations in the area. This could include:
● being available to meet and greet people who pop in to the shop,
● making refreshments;
● providing sign-posting to other agencies, as required;
● supporting people with form-filling;
● supporting or organising simple activities for people to engage with, for example, craft activities.

What will you get out of it?
● You will meet new people, learn new skills and enjoy sharing some of your existing skills. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the community and to feel like you are a part of a local organisation run by local people for local people.
● When you start, you will be given training and information you need to carry out the role. You will have regular supervision and support. You will be able to demonstrate experience working with people in any future job application and get a reference which explains the work that you have done with Cliik at The Talk Shop.

What we ask for
● Volunteers need to be welcoming to people who visit The Talk Shop and to be able to get on with people from a wide range of backgrounds. We expect all of our volunteers and staff to treat everyone in our community with respect.
● We ask for a regular commitment of at least one weekly slot, usually around 3 hours.
● Because the role involves meeting people in the community, some of whom may be children, young people and vulnerable adults, building relationships with them, and holding responsibility for sometimes being alone in The Talk Shop, we will need to follow safer recruitment procedures.

Volunteering in the shop

Mary’s Living & Giving Kew has become a much loved destination for followers of pre-loved fashion and a community hub for the wonderful residents of Kew. Located minutes from world famous Kew Gardens we welcome lots of UK and international visitors too.

Our Kew Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and become one of our Supporting Volunteers. You will welcome visitors to our pre-loved bookshop at Foxton top lock and maintain the stock of books. There will be opportunities to create displays and make the shop look attractive to visitors.

As a Supporting Volunteer you will feel part of the team, with plenty of opportunity take responsibility for the bookshop. This will include keeping the shop looking clean and inviting.

You will be taking payments, giving change and managing a small float.

You should have an interest in books and a willingness to learn about the history of the locks, so that you can share this knowledge with visitors.

Helping in our shops is a great way to help CHAS and, as well as helping us raise money to fund our vital services, you'll be part of a really great team of volunteers. You'll be meeting new people, using your skills or learning something new, and making sure our customers get a great welcome and all the assistance they need.

It's always great to see our volunteers chatting to customers and telling them about CHAS - and there's so much more to this role too: you could be sorting donations, getting stock ready for the shop floor, wielding a steamer or a duster, processing Gift Aid, operating the till (we will show you how), merchandising and displaying stock - you'll never have a dull moment.

It would be ideal if you could volunteer one shift each week, which is about four hours (but we're also happy to chat about more flexible times). No special skills are needed as we’ll show you what to do and we provide all the training you’ll need. But if you have any experience or particular interest please tell us, it may come in useful. It’s really easy to get your volunteering started.

As a Charity Shop Volunteer, you will play an important role in helping raise vital funds to support children with life-shortening conditions and their families. The Bank Arts Centre (Eyes Open CIC) is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit Community Arts Centre providing a programme of creative and social activities including exhibitions, live events and workshops. At the heart of our offerings is our family-friendly café which continues to grow. To meet demand, we are looking for new volunteers to join our friendly team to assist with the day-to-day running of food and drink service.

As a Front of House Cafe Volunteer you will contribute to daily service including - greeting visitors, taking and preparing drinks orders, serving tables, maintaining clean and safe environment. This rewarding opportunity will allow you to develop new skills, gain confidence, become an active member in the community, and make a positive impact on our customers’ experience. Job Purpose

One Place London is a community interest company located in West London, engaged in Acting for Film and Music Recording workshops for young people aged 14-25, unemployed or at risk of getting involved in crime. As a key member of the Engagement Team working at Youth & Community Centres in Ealing and West London, this post will work alongside the Sound Engineer, Film Director or both to deliver Song-writing / music recording workshops and Acting for Film Workshops repectively, for young people aged 14-25.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, promote and deliver engaging Songwriting workshop, Acting for film workshop or both for young people.

• Support, mentor, coach and ‘walk alongside’ individuals in their pursuit of independence and community cohesion.

• Undertake risk assessments and support planning interviews with new participants.

• Engage third parties to deliver support and activities to young people.

• To act as an advocate for young people and to engage partner agencies and services appropriate to the young people’s needs.

• Actively encourage job search, training, and volunteering opportunities with young people who are not in education, employment, or training.

• Undertake risk assessments and support planning with young people.

• Undertake training and professional development.

• Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the CIC.

Person Specification & Key Competencies

Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience of programme delivery in youth, adult or community-based service

• An ability and willingness to relate positively to young people, visitors and staff

• An outgoing and friendly personality, able to communicate well and engage a wide range of people

• Ability to react positively and effectively when faced with unwanted high-risk behaviours from young people, whether targeted towards themselves, staff, visitors or other young people.

• An understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures

• An understanding of the issues facing young people

• An understanding of equality and diversity matters.

Personal Attributes

• A genuine enthusiasm for the work of the CIC.

• An outgoing and friendly personality, able to communicate well and engage positively with a wide range of people including with young people, visitors and staff.

• The ability to motivate and inspire others

• An ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
