We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. Our mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more.

We are looking for trustees to join our Board to support steering the charity forward. 

This is a pivotal time in our history: with a dynamic and experienced new Chief Executive, Catherine Woodhead; and a period of development, with a new strategy incoming that will take us towards our centenary in 2029.

-Senior finance experience across the charity, government or private sectors.

-Legal experience in Charity Law or legal expertise relevant to the third sector.

We are looking for up to ten UK university students to join our volunteer Student Ambassadors team and help Ygam achieve its social purpose by reaching out to students at university. This will be achieved by advising Ygam on the needs of students, supporting with content development, organising activities at your campus, and join us at events to raise awareness of gaming and gambling harms.

We are seeking individuals who are outgoing, with a confident personality. You will enjoy engaging with other students and be able to advise us on the experiences of students with regards to gaming and gambling.We’d love to hear from students with an interest in mental health, psychology, content development, and gaming.

Overview

In partnership with a second, and possibly third Leader, you will lead a Fire (Group) of 8-12 Young
Explorers. As the Adventure Leader you will be responsible for the adventurous activities of the
Fire during the expedition programme, within the parameters set by the Chief Leader, and where applicable the Senior Adventure Leader.

We are seeking an experienced Events & Community Fundraising Officer (Volunteer) to join our Fundraising team on an unpaid, volunteer basis. This will be remote support, unpaid volunteering on average 8 hours or 1 day per week to drive funding for our International WASH projects.

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.We are looking to expand and diversify our team of volunteers – seeking candidates with knowledge and skills in various fields, and a deep passion for our cause. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Join our team as a Volunteer Events & Community Fundraising Officer, working alongside the Fundraising Manager to develop and expand our community engagement and events portfolio. Play a pivotal role in creating innovative fundraising products, fostering relationships within our local communities, and supporting key fundraising initiatives to drive income growth and supporter engagement. 

ROLE & RESPONSBILITIES  

• Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager to design and implement community and events strategies, including the development of new fundraising products and campaigns. 

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, corporate partners, and individual fundraisers to generate new income streams. 

• Develop engaging supporter journeys to inspire memorable experiences, encourage repeat contributions, and deepen supporter loyalty. 

• Support the team in planning and delivering special events, including the annual fundraiser concert, Water Wheel, and other high-profile fundraising activities. 

• Secure new corporate partnerships through sponsorships, Charity of the Year and other award programs, and collaborative fundraising initiatives. 

• Lead and coordinate supporter-led fundraising activities, fostering volunteer involvement and building a vibrant, diverse supporter community aligned with our mission. 

• Assist with planning, promotion, and execution of both EA-organized and third-party fundraising events. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

ESSENTIAL 

Experience: 

• Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing fundraising or sales targets within the charity, nonprofit, or commercial sectors. 

• Proven experience working in supporter-focused environments. 

• Solid project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. 

• Experience working within high-performing teams, including remote working arrangements. 

Skills: 

• Excellent networking and relationship management capabilities. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities. 

• Proficiency in IT tools such as Windows, MS Office, and fundraising databases, particularly Raiser’s Edge (or similar). 

• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills. 

Knowledge: 

• Good understanding of the charity sector, including its challenges and opportunities. 

• Knowledge of regional and corporate fundraising practices. 

• Familiarity with sector legislation and best practices related to fundraising, data protection, health and safety, etc. 

• Deep understanding of EA’s vision, mission, and achievements. 

DESIRABLE: 

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel as needed. 

• Previous experience within the voluntary or charity sector is advantageous. 

COMPETENCIES 

• Proven ability to motivate and influence supporters to meet and exceed fundraising targets. 

• Confident in asking supporters for donations and ongoing support. 

• Skilled in creating compelling, engaging fundraising products. 

• Ability to match supporters' interests with suitable fundraising opportunities to maximize income. 

• Strong organizational skills to effectively allocate time and resources for maximum impact.

Do you have professional expertise you could use to help a good cause? Are you passionate about animal welfare? Trustees manage the affairs of our local RSPCA Branch to promote and provide animal welfare within the branch area. 

We are the Surrey East Branch of the RSPCA, and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. 

Main activities: 

• To be familiar with and support the aims and policies of the RSPCA. 

• To be familiar with our branch rules and follow them at all times. 

• To work with your fellow trustees and branch officers to jointly act in making decisions for the best interest of our branch and the RSPCA. 

• To ensure the branch meets all the minimum animal welfare standards (MAWS). Where they are not met, work with national RSPCA staff to meet the standard as soon as practicable. 

• In conjunction with your fellow trustees and Branch support specialist (BSS), to write, adopt, monitor and review a branch development plan setting out the short and long-term aims of our branch. 

• To actively participate in branch committee meetings and attend the branch annual general meeting, and regional conference. 

• To be aware of the outcome of regional board meetings and support regional initiatives. 

• To attend the trustee training course. 

• To actively promote and advertise the society in an ongoing programme to recruit new branch trustees and volunteers. 

• To welcome new trustees and volunteers to the branch. 

About the RSPCA

What are we looking for? 

• Most people aged 18 or over are eligible to become a trustee. You will need to become a member of the RSPCA. Good interpersonal skills are important. You do not need to be an expert, although commitment, common sense and the ability to be objective is vital. 

• Specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience, and awareness of employment and/or charity legislation can be useful, but not essential. 

• Trustees must sign a Trustee Declaration of Willingness to Act to clarify that they are not disqualified from being a trustee and that they accept the post. 

• In addition to our standard declaration of willingness, trustees also need to complete a declaration from the Charity Commission and read their guidance for individuals on who can’t be a trustee or senior manager of a charity.

“Solta o Jogo” is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Bid Writer to support Quilombo UK in securing vital funding and resources to further our mission. This remote volunteer role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community impact, writing, and making a meaningful difference in the Third Sector. Position Overview:
The Bid Writer Assistant plays a key role in researching, drafting, and editing compelling proposals and funding applications for various projects run by Quilombo UK. The role involves close collaboration with department leads, collecting relevant data, and ensuring submissions align with organisational goals and funder expectations. It offers the flexibility to work independently, with the support of experienced professionals and tailored training where required.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal & Bid Development:

• Research, draft, and edit funding proposals tailored to specific grants, donors, and partners.

• Review and refine existing proposals to ensure clarity, compliance, and impact.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant content, project insights, and financial information for bids.

• Develop supporting documents and presentations to accompany applications.

Strategic Input & Collaboration:

• Contribute to the bid strategy, suggesting creative and relevant ideas aligned with organisational goals.

• Maintain and manage a structured “bid plan” with timelines, approval processes, and submission deadlines.

• Liaise with HR, Finance, Marketing, and Project teams to align bid content with current projects and strategic direction.

Reporting & Organisation:

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Communications, Business, or related fields.

Experience:

• Familiarity with fundraising, community initiatives, or nonprofit funding is desirable.

Skills:

• Strong written communication and persuasive writing skills.

• High attention to detail, organisation, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

SAPUK is looking for volunteers to assist with our support services, which run daily from 6am to 11pm. Volunteers will engage through our instant messaging support line, which operates via Meta and offers anonymous communication via our website. The service is managed through a free app, available for download on all smart devices.

Over the years, our dedicated team has supported countless individuals, helping them overcome feelings of distress and guiding them away from the darkness. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a compassionate team, committed to providing life-changing support.

SAPUK offers regular training to help volunteers enhance their skills and gain invaluable experience. Volunteers will become part of a supportive, collaborative team that prioritizes mental health and the well-being of both those we serve and our volunteers.

Volunteer Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 hours per week (one shift, or split into two 3-hour shifts).
• Flexible shift options to fit your schedule, with shifts ranging from 6am to 11pm.
• We’re looking for individuals who can commit to at least one shift per week, though we’ll work to accommodate your availability.
