About Trans Celebration

Trans Celebration is a trans-led, grassroots human rights organisation based in the UK, dedicated to celebrating and advocating for trans and gender-diverse people. Through monthly awareness campaigns and creative programming across fashion, beauty, and the arts, we amplify trans voices and promote inclusivity in public life and culture.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Volunteer to help grow our online presence and build stronger engagement with our community.

Job Summary

The Social Media Volunteer will support the development and execution of content across Trans Celebration’s social media platforms. You’ll play a vital role in amplifying our message, promoting events and campaigns, and building a vibrant online space for our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule posts across social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter (X), Facebook, and TikTok.

• Assist in developing social media strategies and brainstorming campaign ideas aligned with our brand.

• Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely, inclusive, and respectful manner.

• Track analytics to measure campaign performance and suggest improvements.

• Stay up to date with trends in social media, digital culture, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across channels.

• Support content creation, including text, images, reels, and stories.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their audiences.

• Experience with online engagement and/or community management.

• Basic knowledge of social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Organised, professional, and detail-oriented.

Bonus Experience (Not Required):

• Graphic design or basic photo/video editing skills.

• Experience working with charities or LGBTQIA+ organisations.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours of commitment per week across Monday and Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.

Community Development Volunteer

Our Community Development Volunteers undertake an administrative role that provides support to our Community Development Co-ordinator in a variety of ways.

As a Community Development Volunteer in England, you might:

· conduct online research

· attend events to raise awareness or present

· engage with project participants on social media

· deliver promotional material in a variety of locations

All volunteering will take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.  You will need to be over 18 years old and be living in the UK. Please note that there is no opportunity to volunteer at weekends or in the evening.

Ignite Youth Future

To increase youth employment and promote inclusive economic growth in Tanzania.

Ignite Youth Future (IYF) addresses Tanzania’s high youth unemployment by equipping A-Level students, university students, and recent graduates with essential skills to navigate the job market. Many young people struggle with career uncertainty, lack of professional networks, and limited access to mentorship. IYF tackles these challenges through career exploration workshops, résumé writing training, soft skills development, and networking opportunities. Additionally, we promote mental and physical well-being to ensure holistic growth. By bridging the gap between education and employment, IYF empowers youth with the tools and connections needed for sustainable careers, ultimately fostering economic resilience and reducing unemployment rates.

IYF tackles youth unemployment by providing career readiness training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Through structured workshops, we equip A-Level and university students with essential job market skills, including résumé writing, interview preparation, and soft skills development. Our mentorship program connects youth with industry professionals for guidance and career insights. We also facilitate corporate headshots to enhance professional branding. By partnering with HR professionals and companies, we create direct links to employment opportunities. Additionally, we integrate mental and physical well-being programs to build resilience. Through these initiatives, IYF empowers youth with practical skills, confidence, and networks for career success.

Resource Mobilisation Officer

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

The Resource Mobilisation Officer will lead and coordinate fundraising and partnership development efforts to support the financial sustainability and growth of Ignite Youth Future. The officer will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, writing proposals, engaging donors, and strengthening strategic partnerships aligned with the organisation’s mission and goals.

Trustee - Warren House Group at Dartington and Dartington Service Design Lab 

• Voluntary (reasonable expenses reimbursed)

Dartington Service Design Lab is a mission-led organisation working to create thriving futures for and with children and young people. We use the power of evidence, experience and design to tackle complex challenges with and for children and young people.

We’re now looking for Trustees to join the Board of our charity, The Warren House Group at Dartington which also holds oversight of our trading subsidiary, Dartington Service Design Lab. These are key governance roles, offering strategic insight, external perspective and constructive challenge. You’ll support good decision-making, effective risk management and ensure our work remains aligned to our charitable mission and long-term goals.

Our vision is a world where people, communities and services work together to shape effective systems that give all children and young people a fair chance to grow up happy, safe, healthy and thriving. Whether it’s strengthening early years support, improving mental health systems, protecting children from harm, or increasing youth opportunity, we’re working to drive systemic change where it matters most. 

We’d love to hear from people who bring:

• Board-level or senior leadership experience, ideally in a socially focused or purpose-driven setting - perhaps a consultancy, social enterprise or commercial organisation with a strong values base
• An independent and thoughtful mindset, someone who’s comfortable asking the right questions, offering support and challenge, and working collaboratively with others
• A real commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people, and a belief in more equitable, inclusive systems

We’re particularly keen to bring fresh perspectives to our Board. You might have a background in partnership fundraising, marketing and brand, children’s services leadership, safeguarding, artificial intelligence or bring insight from another relevant field.

Endometriosis UK is the largest UK charity for those with endometriosis. Endometriosis UK works to:

• Provide support to those with endometriosis and their families and friends
• Provide clear, objective information about the condition and its treatments
• Raise awareness amongst health professionals and the general public about the condition
• Support research into endometriosis.

This is an unpaid role. Reasonable pre-agreed travel expenses will be paid.

Time commitment:

• five Trustee Board meetings a year, including preparation for meetings, reading papers etc; and attendance at an annual strategy day and AGM (held on the same days as Board meetings). Three meetings are held in person on London on a Saturday, with two meetings being virtual evening meetings.
• Trustees have the opportunity to take part in Board sub-groups and project groups to develop aspects of the organisations’ work. Current sub-groups include the Finance Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Group.

Trustees are also invited to attend Endometriosis UK events.

We are currently recruiting for ONE NEW TRUSTEE to join the board. We are particularly looking for significant experience of charity governance, management and best practice. Examples of how this might have been gained include having worked at a senior level in a charity, or previous trustee experience.

If you are keen to join the Endometriosis UK Board and don’t have this experience, there will be further opportunities over the next year as we will be recruiting for more trustees as Board members reach their maximum length of service. Keep an eye on our social media for more information.

Personal experience of living with, or having a close family member with, endometriosis, is vital on our Board. Whilst we look favourably on applications from those in the endometriosis community, we already have Trustees with first hand lived experience and new trustees do not need to have endometriosis.

About the Project – “Solta o Jogo”
Solta o Jogo is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a dedicated Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day coordination and administrative operations behind this exciting and community-driven programme.

Position Overview:
The Admin Assistant will play a vital role in supporting communication, event coordination, documentation, and volunteer tracking. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, event logistics, and team coordination. The role offers flexibility, skill development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination Support

• Schedule and manage logistics for project events, workshops, and community showcases.

• Track bookings, rehearsals, and venue use to ensure a smooth timeline.

• Support RSVP management and communication for performances and activities.

Data & Documentation Management

• Maintain and organise project records such as attendance sheets, registration forms, and feedback.

• Ensure digital files are properly stored and accessible for all team members.

• Assist in compiling reports and summaries post-events.

Communication & Liaison

• Serve as a contact point for public and internal queries related to the project.

• Help coordinate communication between departments involved in the project (HR, Marketing, PR, Finance).

• Communicate with facilitators, artists, and partners to confirm details and provide logistical support.

Resource & Inventory Support

• Track inventory of promotional and event materials.

• Assist in coordinating procurement and delivery of materials for activities and performances.

Volunteer Coordination

• Monitor onboarding progress of volunteers engaged in Solta o Jogo.

• Assist with preparing and maintaining volunteer schedules.

• Provide administrative support during volunteer briefings and training.

General Administrative Duties

• Take meeting minutes and circulate action items.

• Help draft internal updates, task lists, and team reminders.

• Provide general clerical support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
No specific degree required, but experience in administration, event coordination, or office support is desirable.

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently.

• Friendly, professional, and proactive attitude.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with remote teams.
