The opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic PR and Social Media Officer to support our external communications, thought leadership initiatives, and events programme, with a particular focus on communicating complex financial and investment-led ideas in a clear, engaging way.
The role will be responsible for executing PR and social media strategies that elevate Better Society Capital's reputation, amplify our thought leadership, and create meaningful engagement with our diverse stakeholder ecosystem, including investors, policymakers, financial institutions, and impact-focused organisations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has a grounding in finance or financial services communications and is looking to develop specialist expertise within the impact investing sector.
What you will do:
PR Support & Content Creation

Support the execution of PR strategies and campaigns under senior management guidance

Help translate technical financial concepts into accessible narratives for non-specialist audiences, while maintaining accuracy and credibility

Draft press releases, media statements, and thought leadership content relating to investment activity, market development, and financial policy, for review and approval

Social Media Management & Content Creation

Execute daily social media activities across all platforms (LinkedIn and Bluesky)

Monitor social media performance, compile analytics reports, and suggest optimisation strategies

What you will bring:
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

1–2 years’ experience in PR, social media, or communications roles within a finance-adjacent environment (e.g. agency clients in financial services, impact investing, asset management, banking, or in-house roles)

Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats and platforms, with the ability to communicate financial or investment-related content clearly

Familiarity with trade & national media landscape in the UK

Experience creating content for professional and stakeholder audiences, including investors, policymakers, or sector specialists

Familiarity with the UK investment, charity, or social enterprise landscape

About the role
The Social Media Engagement and Digital Campaigns Manager will take a lead role in developing, supporting and delivering Freedom from Torture’s campaigning and engagement across digital channels and audiences. Our wider campaigns activities form a key part of our strategy to influence change and build the movement for compassionate and fair treatment of torture survivors, refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and to uphold the torture ban.
Working closely with the Head of Digital & Campaigns and experienced freelance campaign strategists , you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading digital engagement strategies to influence audiences and deliver real change. You will work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to deliver impactful social media and digital engagement to support Freedom from Torture’s influencing, movement building and fundraising ambitions.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week. The Media and Communications Manager, reporting into the Head of Communications, is responsible for the creation and delivery of PAGB's external, member and internal communications, overseeing media relations and the PAGB brand.
Overall accountability
- To effectively manage all content on PAGB website and microsites

- To organise, co-ordinate and support PAGB events

Key areas of responsibility include:
Website and digital communications
- Managing the PAGB website to ensure it is regularly updated with relevant information and content is optimised for search and user experience
- Proactively managing website on on-going basis to ensure that it is up to date and actively liaising with PAGB teams to gather information to update as needed
- Managing relationships with PAGB’s website developers to ensure ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support are delivered effectively
- Managing relationships with PAGB’s IT suppliers over domain name and security certificate renewals as required
- Managing the Health and Food Supplements Information Service (HSIS) website
- Managing website and communications data analytics and analysis
Marketing communications
- Marketing communications to promote PAGB’s services, events, and training to members and non-members using appropriate channels

- Responding in a timely and compelling way to relevant external developments or media stories to generate proactive coverage which communicates our core messages

- Building, developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key target media across print, broadcast and online (national, consumer and trade)

Brand and design
- Responsible for PAGB’s corporate branding, ensuring correct and consistent use

- Managing relationships with external designers and oversee design and production of corporate publications and documents
Internal Communications

Purpose of the role
Our PR & Media Manager is crucial to guiding our public story and scale up our media reach as we enter the final stages of our campaign to end bear bile farming in Vietnam and develop the profile of our founder and CEO Jill Robinson MBE. As the internal lead for global PR and media, you will cultivate strong relationships with colleagues in our Programmes and Fundraising teams to amplify their work through celebrity support, thought-leadership and media engagement.

Key duties:
Strategy and planning
- Development of creative campaigns that deliver high quality coverage to reach target audiences in line with Animals Asia’s organisational and communications objectives including fundraising, brand awareness, policy influencing and behaviour change.
- Utilise a range of appropriate tactics such as celebrity and influencer support, CEO profile building and subject matter expert thought leadership.
PR delivery
- Participate in the development and implementation of our thought leadership program, supporting our internal subject matter experts to publish on Linked In, contribute to earned media and participate in speaking opportunities.
- Preparing, publishing, moderating and reporting on social media content for PR and media purposes, including the identification and targeting of key influencers to support our campaigns share our content.
- Support and promote global campaigns, appeals and events with PR, including the development of press materials and media targeting and liaison.
- Participate in a program of activity to develop and build the profile of our CEO, Jill Robinson, as a key ambassador for Animals Asia.
Press office management
- Day to day running of the press office, including responding to media enquiries, drafting media releases, undertaking proactive pitch development, outreach to journalists and influencers, maintaining our database of media contacts and other general press office management.
- Leading on the creation and maintenance of our external events and key dates calendar to identify opportunities and clashes for PR.
- Keeping abreast of external events and news stories for reactive response and future planning.
- Identifying, monitoring and responding to any reputational and other reactive issues, including anything related to our celebrity ambassadors, in a timely and appropriate manner.

- Develop and craft key messages that get cut through, in support of our campaigns.
- Draft high quality materials such as press releases, opeds, blogs, briefings, pitches and bios across all PR, including in close collaboration with our internal subject matter experts to develop our reputation and thought leadership in animal welfare.
Relationship management
- Day to day management of PR suppliers and partners, including our international network of external PR specialists to deliver PR campaigns.
- Internal liaison with colleagues throughout Animals Asia to gather information, check facts and develop content and pitches for earned media.
- Build relationships with key journalists, celebrities and social media influencers.
General

Person Specification:
- Minimum of three years’ experience of working in a busy press office or PR agency, including drafting key messages, press releases and responding to media enquiries.

As Communications Manager, you will lead on several critical aspects of Martingale’s work including all external communications from social media to PR, and brand management. Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:
This is an exciting role in an ambitious and growing charity that supports all people affected by domestic abuse.
Working closely with the Business Development Director and Business Development Manager the Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in the creation, development and implementation of a robust and diverse fundraising strategy that contributes to the overarching income generation strategy, that meet both current and future operational needs
Participate in the development of Stop Domestic Abuse’s fundraising strategy and lead on the implementation and delivery of fundraising ensuring all fundraising objectives and KPI’s are met.
Identify and cultivate relationships with new, corporate partners, individual donors, major donors, foundations, and other potential supporters, increasing their awareness of SDA.
Create, launch and manage supporter stewardship and recognition programmes to ensure corporate donors and partners feel valued and engaged with the organisation, you will be key in maintaining long-term relationships.
Develop and maintain a portfolio of potential corporate and high net worth supporters through regular research and networking and attend events and meetings with potential donors.
Expand current fundraising activity to create new opportunities by promoting Stop Domestic Abuse.

About Stop Domestic Abuse:
Stop Domestic Abuse is a proud women-led organisation supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse across Portsmouth and Hampshire. Our vision is a world without domestic abuse, and we work to ensure that it’s ‘everyone’s business.’
We provide refuge and community-based support, delivering in a trauma-informed way for adults, children and young people, tailored to individual needs. Our 19 refuges offer safe, welcoming homes, and across our services we provide one-to-one support and group activities to help improve their safety and to meet others with similar experiences. We support children process their experiences and help regain a sense of safety.
Our UP2U programmes support those seeking to change abusive behaviours, and we also offer specialist support for victims of stalking. We also deliver training to professionals, including the hair and beauty industry, to recognise domestic abuse and connect people to specialist support services.

Blues Foundation:
We are the charitable arm of Bedford Blues Rugby Club. We use the values of rugby and sport to change lives through interventions and programmes that support our local community. Our work aims to improve wellbeing, create inclusive opportunities, and develop skills in young people. Launched in April 2020, we deliver bespoke projects that are designed to support our target audiences and help young people tackle their personal challenges. Projects include our flagship Tackle LIFE programme, our ABILITY Blues disability sport programme, Be You programme, Rugby programmes and our Holiday Provision.
Role Overview:
Our Fundraising Manager will play a major part in significantly increasing our growth in fundraising activities, including corporate and individual giving, community events and support our strong relationships with local businesses, schools and clubs, increasing grassroots engagement. They will lead our restricted and unrestricted fundraising as we enter another exciting period of growth for our charity. The role will manage and implement a high-quality marketing plan to demonstrate our impact and promote our services. They will lead our events, maximising their potential fundraising potential and increase brand awareness. They will also build and support a network of volunteers and supporters/donors, communicating regularly with this audience. Acting as one of the main links with the club, the individual will be targeted with growing the supporting and coordinating the club’s community engagement through Foundation activities.
While this role is advertised as hybrid, it will mostly be office-based. That said, we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements for the right person.
The person:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop our fundraising Initiatives as part of the Foundation’s management and leadership team, successfully achieving fundraising targets to support our work.
- Maximise our fundraising potential, increasing both restricted and unrestricted funding, developing creative ideas to generate vital funds.
- Secure financial gifts from foundations, conducting prospective research, preparing funding proposals, and cultivating relationships with grant makers.
- Create new and nurture current partnerships with corporates, converting opportunities to our charity and drive sales through our events, packages and donations.
- Deliver high quality and well managed events that promote our brand and values, with a clear focus on generating income. This will include liaising with venues, suppliers, sponsors, donors etc.
- Lead and deliver a strategic marketing plan that promotes all elements of our work across a variety of platforms including social media and email.
- Support Bedford Blues and their league’s community team to activate both club-led and national engagement initiatives, ensuring the Foundation delivers on the club’s community strategy.
- Manage a diverse workload with a variety of deadlines and priorities.
- Follow the values and act on the behaviours of the Blues Foundation when working and representing the charity.
- Carry out other duties for Blues Foundation as and when required by management, not limited to the above.
Person Specification:

Role Summary
The (Senior) Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of communications to help us win our campaigns. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on team player, who will build relationships with journalists, securing media hits in top mainstream media, ensuring that communications are a strong part of our strategies to win campaigns. While the position involves broader communications tasks, its core focus is strategic media work — driving impactful coverage, shaping narratives, and ensuring our investigative campaigns gain global visibility.
Key Responsibilities (Media-Focused)
- Lead proactive and reactive media outreach for multiple high-profile campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international, national, and trade journalists, build and maintain our in-house media list.
- Secure high-impact coverage in top-tier outlets and place investigative stories, exclusives, and op-eds.
- Develop media strategies that amplify campaign findings and influence corporate behaviour and policies.
We are a small team, so this is a hands-on role with the focus on press work, but it also requires managing our key communications channels and our website. The Communications Manager will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the team, as well as manage a social media free-lancer and other communications creatives, such as video-editors.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with at least 7 years’ experience in journalism or in leading successful communications for a non-profit organisation, PR agency, or similar. Ideally, you are a creative, hands-on individual with great inter-personal skills, able to form collaborative working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, ranging from journalists to creative agencies and our NGO partners.
What we are looking for – Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must have:
- Demonstrable experience personally leading media outreach for major investigations or campaigns, with a proven record of securing top-tier international and national coverage (e.g. Financial Times, Guardian, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, major broadcasters).
- A strong, active network of journalist contacts, and the confidence and instinct to pick up the phone, pitch stories, brief reporters, and manage embargoed launches under tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English, with the ability to craft sharp press materials; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Experience coordinating and executing major report launches, working closely with campaigners and partners to shape narratives that cut through, develop media strategies, prepare messaging, and proactively pitch stories to journalists.
- An exceptional eye for detail and an ability to distil complex research into clear, compelling, and accessible media and social-media content.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines, manage fast-moving campaigns, and perform under pressure.
- A creative, strategic mindset, able to think outside the box, introduce innovative communications tactics, and adapt messaging to a rapidly changing external environment.
- Digital fluency, with experience leading online engagement or mobilisation campaigns and an understanding of how digital channels support broader media and campaign goals.
- Willingness and ability to generate regular content to win campaigns, including social media posts, op-eds, blogs, newsletters, and other campaign materials; familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative working style, a growth mindset, and a positive, solution-focused, and proactive approach to communications and relationship-building, both internally and externally.
- A commitment to environmental and social justice, with a passion for using communications to drive meaningful systemic change.
It’s a plus if a candidate has:
- Excellent knowledge of and experience working within the environmental and social impact sectors.
- Good knowledge of the use of creative communication tactics, such as short videos.
- Passion to create narrative shifts on complex social issues and personal interest in countering misinformation and greenwashing.

The Content Creator & Celebrity Manager, leads WaterAid’s digital talent strategy to drive and elevate our ambitious communications, fundraising and influencing activities. Aligned with our strategic aims, this role is responsible for identifying, and engaging digital talent and their teams, by bringing their know-how, cultural connections and entrepreneurial flair to deliver impactful results.
In this role, you will:
Lead on delivering a digital talent strategy for WaterAid’s brand, fundraising and political campaigning activities that aligns with the social and digital teams aims:
- Building on the exposure from the #TeamWater campaign in 2025, lead on engaging the YouTube creator community to strategically engage and meaningfully grow our Gen Z audience on the channel.
- Drive and deliver strategic online and offline talent engagement for WaterAid UK organisational priorities, securing talent, creator and influencer support for key communications campaigns and projects
- Lead in developing ideas and implementing new income streams with talent online and on social channels.
- Lead with internal and external stakeholders and help shape decisions around how to progress projects.

To be successful, you will need:
- 4 years+ Proven experience of working with high-profile personalities (celebrities and influencers and content creators)

- Crisis communications, risk management and safeguarding management experience; proven ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
