Job description

Business Development Administrator

Are you passionate about supporting people to have their voices heard and their rights respected? Are you looking to start or progress your career in the voluntary sector and work with one of the UK’s leading voice and rights charities?

In this role you’ll work closely with our development team and support them, and our operational teams, in securing income through public sector contract, grant funding and partnerships.

We’re one of the UK’s largest and longest-established voice and rights charities. We support people to be heard at critical moments in their lives, and to be fully involved in decisions that affect them. We work with over 30,000 people each year, including people with mental health issues, dementia and disabilities. We’re embarking on an ambitious strategy to explore new ways of achieving our mission and support more people to have their voices heard.

 
Location: Office based in Oakington, Cambridgeshire


Job type: 12-month fixed term contract


Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week


Salary: Grade G £18,562 - £22,500

You will:

  • Be keen to develop your admin skills and sector knowledge
  • Be a team player, including working with people who are based across the UK
  • Have an interest in business development and/or sales

Desirable skills or experience:

  • Business Administration Qualification (not essential)
  • Excellent admin skills, including using MS Office
  • Knowledge or understanding of sales, business development and the charity sector
