Job description

Depaul UK are currently looking for a Nightstop Senior Co-ordinator to join us in Essex (Colchester or Chelmsford). You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,174 per annum + pension and benefits.

Depaul UK works with some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK. We specialise in working in communities where poverty and long-term unemployment have resulted in generations of social exclusion and high rates of homelessness.

Over the past 30 years, we have grown as an organisation and developed and enhanced our work and the impact it has across the UK.  Depaul UK has a wide range of services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness.

The Nightstop Senior Co-ordinator role:

The Nightstop service, where you will be based, provides emergency accomodation for 16 to 25 year olds in the homes of our Community Volunteer Hosts. Your responsibility will be to assess, support and place our guests who are referred to the service.

As a senior member of staff, you will also oversee the effective delivery of the service across Colchester and Chelmsford and ensure volunteers are well supported, trained and supervised.

You will be working closely with the Prevention Manager to ensure the safe running of the Nightstop service as well as the wellbeing of all volunteers and staff.

What will ideally support your success as one of our Nightstop Senior Co-ordinator?

- Great experience and understanding of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness

- Experience of supervising or supporting volunteers or staff

- Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating client risk assessments

- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

- Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
