The Finance & Operations Administrator will help ensure the smooth running of Wikimedia UK’s finances, office, and day-to-day operations. You’ll gain experience in finance, HR, and charity administration - learning from a supportive and experienced team while contributing to the charity’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Office Support

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

• Act as the main contact for British Library staff in relation to office matters.

• Coordinate with external service providers (IT support, facilities, etc.).

• Manage office supplies and equipment, keeping everything organised and running efficiently.

• Assist in developing and improving office systems, policies and procedures.

Financial Administration

• Process invoices, receipts and other payments; ensure proper authorisation and accurate recording in Xero (training provided).

• Support the reconciliation of bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.

• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and liaising with auditors.

• Support the Head of Finance & Operations with general bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks.

HR & Team Support

• Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.

• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.

• Support recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews and onboarding new starters.

Royal Free Charity – Philanthropy Manager
Location: Hybrid working, with two days a week at London office, NW3.

Royal Free Charity, the strategic partner to the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL), is seeking a creative and driven Philanthropy Manager to lead efforts to secure four and five-figure gifts and to ensure donors are stewarded with the best possible experience of the charity to encourage ongoing support.

The Royal Free Charity works to raise funds for enhanced support for patients, vital support for staff, groundbreaking research and innovation, and cutting edge medical equipment. Through the services they provide and the programmes and equipment they fund, the charity aims to make a profound and immediate different to patients’ experience of care at RFL.

Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager and working with other colleagues in the philanthropy and campaigns team, the role will be responsible for delivering the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, personalised communications and recognition opportunities across the charity’s hospital sites. This will include leading and delivering a mid-level giving retention and recruitment strategy for donors giving between £1,000 and £50,000 and looking to identify potential opportunities for uplift in giving.

The Philanthropy Manager will play an important role building relationships and increasing income in what will be a pivotal year for the charity as they prepare for a multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. This is an exciting time to join the organisation, with significant scope for development working as part of a supportive, ambitious and high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in fundraising and donor development in the charity or culture sector and of working with supporters, customers, clients or the general public, delivering excellent customer service. About the Role

About the Role 

This role will lead Media Trust’s climate work. As Senior Programme Manager, you will run our flagship Communicating Climate programme and lead Media Trust’s work on the Diverse Voices programme. You will help us further develop our climate work and ensure our existing programmes are cutting edge and meet the demands of this moment.

This role will directly manage our Communicating Climate programme. The Senior Programme Manager will build on the success of the past five years of the programme and further develop the programme content and structure to maximise impact for participating organisations. With support from a programme co-ordinator, you will ensure the smooth delivery of the programme, including recruiting and managing a cohort of climate organisations; overseeing the budget and timeline; managing our relationships with funders, trainers and partners; and impact evaluation and reporting.

You will also oversee our role in the Diverse Voices programme, which works to amplify the voices of people and communities most impacted by climate change. The programme is run by a consortium of organisations, including Race Equality Foundation, Turn2Us and Disability Rights UK. Media Trust is the media partner, delivering communications-related training and support to the participants. 

Your line manager will be Media Trust’s Head of Charity Services and the role will sit within our charity services team. This Senior Programme Manager role does not currently have any direct line management responsibilities. 

Please note that whilst this is a remote role, the Media Trust team meets in-person in London on a monthly basis and regular travel to London for meetings and events is required. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Management of our climate programmes, including: 

• Lead our Communicating Climate programme, ensuring it is high quality, innovative and tailored to the needs and priorities of climate and environmental organisations 

• Recruit and build successive new cohorts of climate charities, user-led organisations and community groups, supporting them through the programme to ensure high levels of engagement and collaboration 

• Recruit and work with trainers and climate experts to develop engaging, practical and tailored training content, activities and resources 

• Plan and ensure the smooth delivery of all activities (including training, workshops, peer to peer networking sessions and other events), ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and lead to planned outcomes 

• Work with Media Trust’s media and creative industry partners to develop tailored training, mentoring and digital resources for the climate and environment sector 

• Manage the Advisory Group for Communicating Climate, which is comprised of leading media organisations, climate charities and sector experts, coordinating regular meetings, building relationships with members and facilitating opportunities for the Advisory Group to shape and input into the direction of the programme 

• Manage relationships with our key programme and sector partners including Climate Outreach, Heard and others, build relationships with a wide range of sector organisations

• Work with media industry partners to design and deliver activities for volunteers from leading media and creative agencies to provide pro bono strategic communications support to climate charities

• Manage the programme budget and financial reporting 

• Lead on the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the programme, ensuring impact is evidenced by high quality data and producing impact reports 

• Maintain up to date knowledge of trends and developments in the climate and strategic communications space and embed these insights into the programme content 

Other work across our team and programmes 

• Identify new opportunities for climate work for Media Trust 

• Share key learnings and best practice across our thematic programmes (our other thematic programme is the Stronger Voices Programme).

• Support the Head of Charity Services with securing grant and other funding for new thematic strategic communications programmes and climate work, contributing to the development of future programmes and funding applications 

• Collaborate with our MarComms team to craft compelling copy for various platforms including web, e-marketing, and social media channels

This role will initially be based at our Morden site while our Wimbledon site is being refurbished. We are expecting to return to our Wimbledon site in January 2027 where the role will continue.

The Role

Wellbeing Manager (fixed term contract until 31.12.26 with potential to extend, subject to funding)

Location: Remote or hybrid – can be fully remote or hybrid with option to attend our head office in Redditch, Worcestershire

Employment Type: Part-time (between 14 and 17.5 hours per week). Some evening and weekend work required. Hours to be agreed with line manager.

Cavell is the charity that transforms the lives of nursing and midwifery professionals facing crisis and tough times. The need for Cavell has never been greater, and the charity is at its most critical point in its 108-year history as the demand for support is at an all-time high. Cavell is evolving their support offer to offer a Wellbeing Conversations service on a 12-month pilot aiming to help nursing and midwifery professionals to navigate feelings of stress, overwhelm or uncertainty.

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathetic individual who is experienced at supporting individuals in a Wellbeing role to co-deliver the Wellbeing Conversations Service. The successful candidate will use a blend of reflective listening, coaching-style questions, practical guidance and signposting to help nursing and midwifery professionals explore their stress, develop healthy coping mechanisms and empower them to address personal and work factors which are contributing to their stress.

This position operates as a job-share, and we are looking for someone to join the existing postholder in delivering the role.

Applicants should be comfortable working collaboratively and communicating effectively to provide seamless coverage and share responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Deliver Cavell’s Wellbeing Conversations service including conducting triage calls and delivering virtual Wellbeing sessions ensuring high-quality delivery, consistency, and responsiveness to demand.
• Ensure exceptional record keeping, ensuring that all relevant data protection and privacy legislation is adhered to.
• Undertake administrative duties to support the delivery of the service, including data entry.
• Have regular peer supervision with their job-share.

Collaboration:

• Work with the Support Team, wider staff, and external stakeholders to identify common themes, challenges, and emerging issues affecting the nursing and midwifery workforce.
• Engage with referral partners and the funder to maintain effective working relationships.
• Signpost individuals to other services and sources of support, including where the Cavell Wellbeing Conversations service may not be appropriate for their needs.
• Assist the Marketing and Communications team to create collateral, capture case studies and build content kits.

Insights and Evaluation:

• Share insights and learning from wellbeing conversations to help shape and strengthen Cavell’s broader support offer and inform service development.
• Co-lead on the evaluation of the Cavell Wellbeing Conversations service including building surveys, analysing data and creating reports. 
• Share knowledge and trends with other internal and external stakeholders. 

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for someone who

• Has experience of working in a wellbeing support role.
• Has experience of giving emotional support and practical guidance to individuals who are stressed or overwhelmed.
• Has experience of using coaching-style questions to help people manage stress and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
• Has excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Is fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office.
• Has effective organisation and time management skills.
• Has experience of optimising a CRM database to effectively capture and manage data.
• Has a sound understanding of the mental health support services provision nationally.
• Has an understanding or empathy for the pressures facing nursing and midwifery professionals.

Our ideal candidate will also:

• Have experience of working as a nursing or midwifery professional (desirable).
• Have a coaching qualification (desirable).
• Mental Health First Aid or similar qualification (desirable).
