The role is full-time and permanent. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 40/60 basis (40% working from the office).

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing activity of the Students’ Union throughout the year, taking the lead on campaigns and projects such as Varsity, the Leadership Race, International Festival and End of Year Awards, working with 10+ departments across the Union.

Do you have good working knowledge of effective marketing practices and the student market? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in planning a variety of innovative marketing campaigns, promotions and offers, along with experience of collaborating with multiple stakeholders in the successful delivery of projects.

We are offering this exciting opportunity to join in the work of the Environmental Engagement Team, and the whole Methodist Church, in helping to deliver this critical work.

As our Net Zero Engagement Officer, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the Connexion to inspire, equip, and mobilise churches, groups, and individuals to take practical steps towards sustainability. Your work will help build a movement of local action, lived faith, and collective environmental responsibility.

Through your knowledge and experience, you will also develop and share guidance, advice and training with Methodists throughout Great Britain as we seek to encourage national engagement.

This is a home-based role, with the post holder focusing on supporting churches and individuals nationally. You may be required to travel to our offices in Church House, London and other locations around the country as necessary.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both passion and expertise, and who will make a positive contribution to the Environmental Engagement Team. You will have:

• Demonstrated experience in the environmental, carbon reduction, or sustainability sectors
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience of delivery of training to internal and external audiences
• Ability to build and form good relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Ability to think through, problem solve, develop and resolve issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and others throughout the Methodist Church

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Have previous experience in a customer services/administrative role

• Be friendly, compassionate and self-motivated 

• Possess a natural ability to engage with people on the phone or in person, and encourage trust and enthusiasm at the start of a supporter’s journey with the charity 

• Be able to work at a computer for significant periods of time, as well as acting as an effective and engaged team-player. 

• Have excellent computer skills – touch-type desirable, confident using a database, ensuring data input is clean and efficient.

• Regular monitoring of a busy team inbox and responding to or forwarding on emails in a prompt and helpful manner, within agreed timescales 

• Have responsibility for the recording of donations and other financial data onto the database and handwritten ledger – ensuring accuracy at all times 

• To ensure timely and efficient thanking of our supporters 

• Possess a full driving license

More about the role

Veterinary Surgeons at Blue Cross are exposed to a wide variety of medical, surgical and emergency cases, enabling rapid development of skills and confidence in general practice. 

This is a full time, fixed term contract for six months. The shift pattern is mostly Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, allowing for an excellent work-life pattern. You will be a part of the evening and weekend rota, which is shared between vets based across Victoria, Merton and Hammersmith resulting in about 2 evening shifts a month and 1 weekend day shift (compensated by time in lieu) every 6 weeks. You will be based primarily at our Victoria hospital, however some flexibility in supporting pets at our other sites is needed. 

About the hospital 

The Blue Cross Victoria hospital has been in operation since its opening in 1906, remaining steadfast in its commitment to helping pets and their owners in need. 
 

Equipped with state-of-the-art veterinary facilities, you will be joining a hospital that spans six floors with six consultation rooms, two theatres, four minor procedure rooms and a laboratory. We are also lucky to have an ambulance service dedicated to transporting animals to and from the hospital. 

Victoria is a 24-hour hospital with a dedicated night team, allowing for much desired case continuity. You will take an active part in our team development days, where once a month we provide emergency services only, allowing time for in-house cadaver training, case discussions and team meetings.

We're looking for a pragmatic and competent Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a team environment. You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to our patients and their owners.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Member of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons 
• Demonstrable small animal or mixed practice experience
