About us
Who we are
Future Leaders UK is a national, multi-award-winning social mobility and social change organisation with a bold ambition: to ensure that a young person’s starting position in life does not determine their future opportunities or achievements.
We work in partnership with schools, universities, leading employers and government to break down barriers, unlock potential and create life-changing opportunities for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.
Each year, we support almost 20,000 young people across the UK. Our programmes build confidence, develop skills, expand networks and open doors to education and employment through mentoring, weekly online sessions, in-person workshops, work experience, industry insight days, residentials and scholarships.
Our national online programme is open to young people aged 14 to 21. Our in-person programmes run through 16 regional hubs across England, delivered in partnership with universities.
Our culture and values
We are proud to work alongside respected institutions including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, HSBC, the BBC and the Civil Service.
Our work has received national recognition from the Department for Education, the Mayor of London and the British Diversity Awards, where we were named Non-Profit Organisation of the Year 2025. Our programmes have also shown exceptional outcomes through independent government evaluation.
We are an ambitious, innovative and rapidly growing organisation with exciting plans for the future. Joining Future Leaders UK means becoming part of a small, passionate and purpose-driven team, where you are encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership, grow professionally and make a tangible difference to thousands of young people’s lives.
Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Our mission is to change that.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Future Leaders UK welcomes applications from everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
All appointments are made on merit following a fair and transparent process. In line with the Equality Act 2010, positive action may be taken where candidate suitability is equal.
Safeguarding is central to our work. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate before appointment.
