Job description

About Future Leaders UK

Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Future Leaders UK exists to change that.

We are a national, multi-award-winning social mobility and social change organisation with one bold ambition: to make sure a young person’s starting point in life never determines their future opportunities or achievements.

Our purpose

We break down the barriers that hold young people back, particularly those from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds. Working in partnership with schools, universities, leading employers and government, we unlock potential and create life-changing opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach. We also empower young people to become community leaders and make a positive contribution to society.

What we do

Each year we support young people across the UK. Our programmes build confidence, develop skills, expand networks and open doors to education and employment through:

  • Mentoring

  • Weekly online sessions

  • In-person workshops

  • Work experience and industry insight days

  • Residentials and scholarships

Our national online programme is open to young people aged 14 to 21. Our in-person programmes run through 16 regional hubs across England, delivered in partnership with universities.

Our impact and partners

We are proud to work alongside respected institutions including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, HSBC, the BBC and the Civil Service. Our work has been recognised by the Department for Education, the Mayor of London and the British Diversity Awards, where we were named Non-Profit Organisation of the Year 2025. Independent government evaluation has also shown exceptional outcomes from our programmes.

Our mission

As an ambitious, innovative and fast-growing organisation, we are driven by a simple belief: every young person deserves the chance to succeed. Our mission is to close the gap between talent and opportunity, so that background is never a barrier to a bright future.

Why join us

Joining Future Leaders UK means becoming part of a small, passionate and purpose-driven team at an exciting stage of our growth. You’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of your work and develop professionally, all while making a tangible difference to the lives of thousands of young people across the country.

The Programme Coordinator plays a vital support and delivery role within our team. Combining high-energy facilitation with organised administrative coordination, you will assist in running interactive workshops, evening sessions, residentials, and corporate site visits.

While you will often lead and facilitate sessions independently on the ground, you will work closely with and be supported by the wider programme team. This role is ideal for a proactive, highly motivated early-career professional who brings authenticity, enthusiasm, and strong organisational skills to every stage of the participant journey.
