About us
Who we are
The Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SHWP) began in December 2019 and became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in November 2020 (charity registration number 1192236).
We are a community led partnership set up to support residents in Shipston and the neighbouring villages to live longer, healthier and happier lives. We partner with over 50 organisations involved in the area including local authorities, health services and other charitable organisations.
Our aim is to make our communities stronger and healthier through partnerships and our own initiatives and activities. As well as our Community Hubs, we run a number of physical activities such as Seated Exercise classes, T'ai Chi, the ever popular Pickleball and our new self defence classes for young women and our Bereavement Cafe opening in November. Our growing Toy Library is a joy and as well as supporting development and learning through play, it is a great place for parents, grandparents and carers to come and meet others.
