Who we are

UKHarvest operates to increase food security across the South of England and in London. Using rescued surplus food, UKHarvest ensures that both people experiencing food insecurity and those wishing to reduce food waste, can access affordable healthy food and free food education supporting food sustainability in the home, improved nutrition and increased confidence in the kitchen.

Since 2017, the charity has developed innovative programmes ensuring that rescued food is made available in areas of greatest need. To date, we have rescued over 4,000 tonnes of edible food or 9.5m meals equivalent and distributed this to communities and schools to supplement food shopping, and through cooked meals and community events at our Nourish Hub in London.
