Job description

South London Refugee Association is a vibrant and well established voluntary organisation based in South West London.

We are looking for an experienced caseworker to join our committed and supportive team. The caseworker will work within our Adults and Families team providing advice and casework to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis. A good understanding of the challenges faced by these groups, including destitution and inability to access services due to No Recourse to Public Fund status is essential.

The Caseworker will be responsible for the delivery of advice and casework on the wide range of issues affecting the people we work with. Working alongside our Advice and Casework Manager, Immigration Advisor and team of advice volunteers, the Caseworker will support people to access justice and to positively progress with their lives. Advice and casework will cover a broad range of issues including immigration, welfare benefits, housing, homelessness and asylum support.

We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals, and those who are migrants or refugees with lived experience of the impact of immigration policy and practice
