Location: Crisis Intervention Service, Milton Keynes
Salary: £16,822 (unqualified) - 17,498 (qualified) per year.
Hours: 25 hours per week
Reports to: Crisis Intervention Service (CIS) Co‑ordinator
MK‑Act is looking for a compassionate and skilled IDVA & Outreach Officer to support survivors of domestic abuse who are at high risk. You will provide one‑to‑one crisis support, complete risk and safety plans, offer outreach in the community, and work closely with local partners to keep clients safe.
What you’ll do:
- Provide intensive support to high‑risk survivors
- Complete risk assessments and safety planning
- Support clients with legal, housing, and criminal justice options
- Deliver outreach support and facilitate group programmes
- Work collaboratively with agencies and attend MARAC
- Keep accurate, confidential case records
We’re looking for:
- Experience supporting vulnerable people
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding
Desirable: IDVA training and outreach experience.
