We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate on a one-year fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover for our Philanthropy Manager. As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to save the lives of people with cancer, everywhere. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. 

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023. 

With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.

The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

Job purpose

As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. You will support the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events, other members of the RMCC leadership team, to explore their networks, facilitate introductions and secure gifts.

You will be a proactive individual with a proven ability and passion for relationship management and donor acquisition driving the delivery of our donor-centric strategy for philanthropy.

Working relationships

You will work closely with our Senior Philanthropy Managers, and regularly liaise with the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events, and Associate Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships and their Deputy. You will also work directly with teams at the hospital, as well as colleagues across P&P and Public Fundraising.

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. We also provide volunteering resource, and advice and guidance on best practice in volunteer management, to hundreds of charities and community organisations.

Through our specialist programmes, our impact on the lives of residents is huge. We match volunteers to housebound residents to help them engage with communities and leave their homes; we provide long term personalised support to people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities to help them volunteer and find paid jobs; we support patients to deliver hundreds of their own activities and peer support groups at GP practices across City and Hackney; and in partnership with Public Health, we support over 250 Community Health Champions to share vital health messaging with their own diverse communities.  

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilising diverse fundraising methods, and building and developing new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to multiple trusts and foundations, but diversified by building new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. You will contribute to the development and production of compelling stories, evidence and marketing and build and maintain the infrastructure needed to track and achieve progress against annual income targets.

Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivating and confident to work primarily alone, but also able to engage and collaborate with staff from across the organisation to share information and impact evidence to support your role. If you are successful in securing funding there will be the potential to recruit additional support, and for you to become the Head of Fundraising of a small team.

As Communications Manager, you will play a central role in shaping how London Youth engages with the audiences that matter most. Sitting within the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of London Youth's digital communications, ensuring our work, impact and voice reach young people, members, funders, partners and policymakers in compelling and meaningful ways. 

You will oversee London Youth's key digital channels, including social media, our website and newsletter marketing, ensuring they are engaging accessible and aligned with organisational priorities. Through strong editorial judgement, a creative mindset, and a clear understanding of our audiences, you will translate programmes, policy work and youth activities into clear, engaging communications that inspire action and strengthen London Youth's profile and influence. 

Working closely with colleagues across programmes, membership, policy, fundraising and our outdoor centres, you will help ensure the outcomes and impact of London Youth's work are effectively communicated throughout the year. You will support colleagues to plan and deliver communications activities that strengthen engagement with our network, build awareness of the youth sector, and support fundraising and partnership objectives. 

As a key brand guardian for the organisation, you will help embed London Youth's visual identity and tone of voice across the organisation and our network. Through guidance, training and collaboration, you will equip colleagues with the tools and confidence to communicate consistently and effectively on behalf of London Youth. 

You will also play a leading role in developing and improving London Youth's digital presence. By analysing performance and staying abreast of emerging digital trends, you will recommend new approaches to content, campaigns, and audience engagement that enhance the reach and effectiveness of our communications. 

Alongside demonstrating the value and impact of youth work in London, your work will help ensure London Youth remains a trusted, visible, and compelling voice for young people and the youth organisations that support them.

What you will be doing 

• Manage the planning and delivery of London Youth's day-to-day communications activity across our owned digital channels, including our social media platforms, website and newsletter communications to ensure they remain engaging and aligned with our priorities. 
• Support the development and delivery of London Youth's organisational communications strategy, helping to plan and coordinate communications activity across the year - managing the organisation's communications calendar to ensure key programmes, campaigns, policy activity and partnerships are effectively communicated to the right audiences. 
• Create and commission engaging digital content across formatsC, including social media assets, photography, blogs, video and web content. Through thoughtful editorial planning, you will identify opportunities to showcase the voices of young people, showcase our members' work, and demonstrate the impact of London Youth's programmes and partnerships. 
• Manage and development London Youth's website, working with colleagues to ensure content remains accurate, accessible, aligned with our priorities, and inspires action. You will oversee improvements to the website's structure, user experience and performance, working with external agencies to maintain and develop the platform. 
• Own our newsletter marketing and audience engagement activity, working collaboratively with colleagues to develop targeted communications that build and maintain strong relationships with members, supporters, partners and other stakeholders. 
• Be a brand guardian for London Youth to help ensure consistent, high-quality application of our visual and verbal identity, providing guidance and training to colleagues across the organisation, including our outdoor learning centres, helping our team communicate effectively and confidently while maintaining brand consistency. 
• Build and manage productive relationships with creative freelancers, agencies and digital partners to deliver high-quality content and campaigns. You will help identify when external expertise is needed to ensure our partnerships deliver value and impact. 
• Monitor and analyse the performance of our communications activity across digital channels, using data and insights to inform ongoing improvements, and identify opportunities to strengthen audience engagement and refine our approach to content and campaigns. 
• Support the delivery of communications activity linked to key organisational priorities, events and campaigns. Working collaboratively with colleagues across programmes, membership, fundraising and policy, you will also help identify opportunities for young people and members to contribute to and shape our communications. 
• Contribute to key organisational publications and projects, including our annual impact reporting and flagship events such as our AGM and London Youth Awards, ensuring communications activity helps strengthen London Youth's profile and engagement with key audiences.

• Proven experience managing digital communications channels, including social media platforms, websites and newsletter marketing.

About the role

 As Senior Public Fundraising Manager, you will oversee and develop a diverse portfolio of Individual Giving and Community Fundraising programmes, maximising income and supporter engagement.

As a key part of the Supporter Engagement team this post will support the team to drive sustainable growth across Individual Giving, Community, Legacies and Supported Family Fundraising. The post will work in a strategic way, using insight to maximise potential income and develop both new and existing donors, community relationships and partnerships across the SSCH catchment through targeted donor and product development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programs, underpinned by robust supporter journeys.

The post holder will work flexibly across the Supporter Engagement income streams, supporting the team to drive growth, donor numbers and community visibility. They will also be accountable for their own income stream. This role combines a targeted driven approach with excellent donor care and relationship management.

Main duties

• Collaborate closely with community partners, corporate partners and BIG team to understand community needs and design appropriate employee volunteering activities to address these needs

• Develop relationships and effective partnerships with key stakeholders in the community including the local authority and community infrastructure support organisations to maximise the impact of BIG Alliance’s work.

• Support the delivery of all business skills activity and the wider BIG Alliance programmes.

• Proactively market volunteering programmes to BIG Alliance corporate partners.

The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.

Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Regional Fundraising Manager (North) to lead and grow income across a significant and high-potential region. With an income target of c.£750k and ambitions for further growth, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering a more proactive, strategic approach to regional fundraising.

The Regional Fundraising Manager is a senior role responsible for leading fundraising across the North of England, managing a team of four fundraisers and contributing to the wider regional fundraising strategy. The role combines strategic leadership, team development and operational delivery, ensuring sustainable income growth across both community and corporate fundraising.

Reporting to the Head of Regional Fundraising, you will be responsible for delivering regional income targets, developing effective fundraising strategies and ensuring strong pipeline development across the region. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a House Unit Manager, Residential to join our Nursing and Quality Team. This role will require the successful candidate to be accountable, alongside a team of Clinical Leads and Deputy House Managers, for leading and managing a team of nursing and care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people.  

You will be the lead professional responsible for coordinating the overall care and management of the children across a minimum of three Residential Houses and be the key contact for the family and multidisciplinary team.

You will provide clinical and operational leadership across all the Residential Houses providing highly specialised advice to nursing teams and wider professional colleagues as well as be involved in the strategic development of the residential services.

Role Requirements

· In collaboration with the Placement Managers, you will ensure care is appropriately planned and resourced, and you will ensure care is delivered in a safe manner at all times.

· You will be responsible for ensuring that the care in the Houses enables the children to access rehabilitation sessions, clinics, education and leisure activities as scheduled in their timetable.

· You will work as part of a leadership team comprising of a House Unit Manager, 4 x Deputy House Managers / Deputy Clinical Leads and 4 x Clinical Leads.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join Solace and North London Rape Crisis. The Helpline Team Manager will provide effective leadership and management of NLRC Helpline service. They will work to ensure that callers into the Helpline receive a high quality, psychologically informed service. The Helpline Team Manager will oversee a team of skilled volunteers and ensure the helpline is a fully staffed, efficient, and supportive service.

They will provide direct line management to an administrator and recruit, train and manage Helpline volunteers to ensure that services are facilitated efficiently and in line with trauma informed practice.

You will support the development of the Helpline service by working in partnership with local services and organisations to ensure survivors are aware of the helpline offer. About You

Successful applicants will have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact on victim/survivors. You will have strong time management and organisational skills, excellent collaborative working skills and knowledge of the rights for survivors of sexual violence. You will also be empathetic and work from a psychologically-informed framework. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and the ability to use an online case management system. The Grange Road team is looking for someone to fill the Service Manager role for 12 months. The service opened in 2022 and is the first High Complex Needs Supported Housing project within the City of London’s pathway. The team works with clients who have been rough sleeping within the Square Mile of the City of London, working with them to build skills in managing support needs and tenancy sustainment. Many of the clients in the service have support needs around substance use, alcohol use or mental health. The service focuses on implementing the recovery approach and improving access to support through in house nurse and psychologist clinics. 

The Service Manager is supported by a Deputy Manager and Senior Project Worker. 

As the service manager you will: 

• Support the team in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients, using PIE techniques and practices. 

• Implementing routes to practical support for clients, through on site clinics and external partnerships 

• Ensuring best practice is implemented and ongoing in the service 

• Maintaining and building relationships with stakeholders and the community 

• Leading and motivating the team in day-to-day work, personal development 

• Taking on line management responsibilities for multiple staff members 

• Liaising with commissioners, providing contract monitoring reports and maintaining effective joint working
