Job description

Charity People could not be prouder to present this rare and special opportunity to join one of the UK's biggest and brightest charity brands as Philanthropy Manager. Caring for people with life-limiting illnesses, this organisation has a reputation for excellence, for both its nursing care and fundraising. It's also renowned for a positive, happy working culture.

There are incredibly exciting plans in the pipeline that include a strategic shift towards influencing national conversation and policy about the way we are all cared for at the end of our lives. Between this and the exceptional support the charity is famous for, there are plenty of opportunities to engage donors and funders in meaningful ways.

Covering the Yorkshire and North East patch, you'll proactively source and manage a portfolio of major donors, trusts and key influencers through active networking, creative and personalised approaches and exceptional stewardship. You'll also be an empowering and enabling line manager to an experienced Executive.

With a brilliant track record of securing significant gifts (ideally at six figure level) from major donors, you'll also have the ability to write high quality, imaginative and compelling proposals. You'll possess the talent to connect individuals at all levels and the gravitas to drive philanthropy forward in a visionary way.

Flexible, life and family friendly working with potential for some homeworking as well.

If you feel you're the philanthropy specialist we're looking for, please send a copy of your CV to our Yorkshire consultant, Amelia Lee: [email protected]

Closing date: 9am on Monday 17th February
