Job description

Interim Senior Media and Communications Officer

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Senior Media and Communications Officer role. This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic communications initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and engage diverse audiences through innovative media outreach and compelling storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate media and communication strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets, partners, and stakeholders to maximise coverage and engagement.
  • Prepare press releases, media briefs, and other content that effectively convey key messages.
  • Monitor media trends, public perception, and industry developments to inform communication approaches.
  • Coordinate events, campaigns, and digital content to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Track and report on media coverage, communication impact, and campaign performance.
  • Provide advice and support to leadership on communication best practices and crisis management.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in media, public relations, or communications roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with media professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms, social media management, and media monitoring tools.
  • Adaptability to evolving media landscapes and organisational needs.
  • Collaborative attitude with a commitment to fostering inclusive and effective communication.
  • Any membership, education or health sector experience would be desirable.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £39,000-£44,000 (inside IR35 day rate)
