To ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of all operational and participant support aspects for external programmes, including our new Accelerator offer. This role is responsible for coordinating people, processes, logistics, and partner inputs across different delivery models (online and in-person) so that programmes run smoothly, participants are well-supported, and reporting is accurate. The Coordinator acts as the hub for collaboration, administration, and progress tracking—enabling Programme Leads to focus on strategy and outcomes. The role drives continuous improvement and adapts delivery in response to participant and partner feedback

Purpose - what you will be achieving

The Programme Officer will be responsible for the administration and delivery of the Academy’s women in research programmes, including working collaboratively with external consultants that will facilitate the delivery of mentoring training and career development workshops. The role provides an opportunity for a person passionate about supporting the next generation of researchers to be involved in the delivery of our unique portfolio of programmes.

In addition, staff are encouraged to take part in cross-team projects, for example in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in our activities and to contribute to initiatives such as staff learning lunches and networking opportunities.

The Academy is an outward-facing organisation and as Programme Officer at the Academy you will have the opportunity to engage with a range of stakeholders including Fellows and senior academics, professional organisations and researchers.

About the role - what you will be doing

• Administration and delivery of the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN – women in leadership programmes
• Shared organisation and delivery of a variety of online and in-person workshops and events for the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes, with individual responsibility for developing and delivering specific events within the programme
• Working with professional consultants, who will assist in the development of the Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes and facilitate mentoring training and career development workshops
• Supporting mentees and mentors during the pairing process by monitoring the Academy’s mentoring portal and CRM system, managing the mentoring inbox queries and providing accurate and frequent reporting on mentoring uptake via the CRM’s reporting tools
• Liaising with the Business information team to raise programme areas that rely on CRM support and require improvements
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders, including universities, funding partners and biomedical and health researchers, to promote these programmes and to encourage participation
• Researching developments in programmes areas and the needs of discrete groups of aspiring biomedical and health researchers
• Producing published career development information, guidance and resources, both print and digital
• Raising the profile of the programmes to highlight the Academy as a leader in the field
• Monitoring and evaluating the success of the programmes and assisting with the production of high-quality reports
• Coordinating communications activity, and may include newsletter and maintenance of relevant sections of the Academy’s website
• Liaising with Academy Fellows, stakeholders, funders and other professional bodies
• Updating Academy Officers, Council and Senior Management Team through papers and briefings
• Supporting the wider programmes and career team activities as required
• Undertaking other ad-hoc duties that can reasonably be expected of this post

o Ensuring that key choices and decisions are escalated to the right forums at the right time

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. Now in our fifth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This includes building strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and partner schools, as well as coordinating training, enrichment activities, and programme delivery. Key Responsibilities:

Mentee Recruitment and Induction

• Work closely with partner schools to finalise mentee cohorts.

We are looking for someone with sound, technical knowledge of the relationship between socio-economic deprivation and health outcomes. Someone with experience working on projects that use evidence and research-based approaches to address health inequity at scale. You will have the skills and expertise to help us work at a system-level to transform practice in hospice care, as well as increase reach. 

You’ll be supported by teams across our organisation to ensure Hospice UK collects the data and evidence required to inform our policy work in this area, and help transform hospice practice. 

Perhaps you’re working in palliative care already - or you might bring strong health equity expertise from another speciality. 

Either way, you’ll become part of a close, 17-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

The Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the Programme Finance Officer role is to provide financial and administrative support to ensure effective financial management of programmes and projects implemented in the UK. The postholder supports the Programme Finance Manager with budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting, as well as performing key transactional tasks such as reviewing and processing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, preparing payment requests, and reconciling project accounts.

The postholder ensures financial accuracy, compliance with donor and organisational policies, and contributes to the timely delivery of high-quality programme financial information.

Scope and Authority 

•  Acts under the supervision of the Programme Finance Manager and in accordance with organisational financial policies and procedures.

•  Authorised to review and verify programme-related financial documents (e.g. invoices, expense claims, timesheets) for accuracy and compliance prior to submission for approval.

•  May prepare and process payment requests, journal entries, and financial reconciliations, subject to approval by the Programme Finance Manager.

•  Authorised to communicate with internal departments on financial matters within assigned programmes.

•  May represent the finance unit in meetings when delegated by the Programme Finance Manager.

Financial Resources

Responsible for accurately processing and monitoring programme financial transactions, including reviewing invoices, expense claims, partner financial reports, and payment requests in line with approved budgets and financial policies. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Introduction

THINK EQUAL is a global education initiative with a mission to ensure that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) becomes a mandatory subject for all children in early years settings globally. SEL is the process through which knowledge, attitudes, values and skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making are developed. 

SEL helps young people to:

• build and maintain psychological resources;

• know themselves and their emotions and to engage in positive relationships;

• learn self-regulation and avoid negative behaviours;

• undo gender stereotypes and be gender equal;

To support educators and governments to achieve this mission, THINK EQUAL has developed a global SEL Programme for 3-6 years-olds. The Programme is constructed around narrative children’s books, lesson plans and teaching resources which provide the concrete tools educators need to teach SEL in a low-cost and adaptable format.

The THINK EQUAL Programme has a global presence across six continents and has undergone three RCT trials in contexts as varied as Colombia, Botswana and Australia. There is a growing demand from other countries for the THINK EQUAL Programme and the organisation is now strengthening its team to be able to respond to this demand

Purpose of the Role

Working at the forefront of Think Equal’s mission to bring the ‘missing subject’ to the hearts and minds of children in the UK, the role of the UK Programmes Officer primary focus would be to ensure the successful delivery of the Think Equal programme across early years classrooms in the UK.  Working within the dynamic Global Programmes team alongside dedicated UK-focused colleagues, this role is highly motivating, and requires great organisation and communication skills as well as an enthusiastic, solution-focused attitude. This may include providing support to the Business Development team regarding potential expansion of the programme into new areas.

Responsibilities 

Programme support

• Support and coordinate the delivery of the Think Equal programme across  UK projects. This includes:

  • Plan and deliver information sessions, training sessions, launch events and other activities engaging Think Equal practitioners, both online and in person.

  • Enrol new practitioners into the Think Equal training platform as they sign up to the programme.

  • Provide general administrative and research support to the Programmes Coordinator and other staff, representing the organisation as the first point of contact and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Process individual orders from schools and manage shipping requests on behalf of the staff team.

  • Support and communicate with TE classroom teachers and other key stakeholders - including nursery workers, primary teachers, primary heads and local authorities - to ensure fidelity and a high quality of implementation.

  • Check and regularly update stock levels, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and order new stock as required with prior confirmation from the Line Manager.

  • Effectively and efficiently update, report and analyse relevant data relating to projects.

  • Plan and lead focus groups with participating practitioners.

  • Arrange and attend occasional on-site visits to participating schools, reviewing fidelity to the Think Equal model and programme impact.

Aston-Mansfield is a charity with a rich history of supporting children, young people, and families in East London since 1884. Based in Manor Park, the organisation focuses on four key areas: children and families, youth empowerment, mental health and well-being, and community development.

Breaking Boundaries Collective will build on Aston-Mansfield's existing work and create a safer, happier, and more connected Newham for young people and the wider community.

The Senior Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Friends of Palestinian Universities’ advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, wider team, and partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

1. Building UK–Palestinian Academic Links
