Job description

Trustees (Board of Trustees): Volunteer Opportunity

At MINDSET Charity, we are embarking on a vital mission to redefine men's mental well-being and self improvement across the UK. We know the heart-breaking truth: silence costs lives. Suicide remains the biggest killer of men under 50, fuelled by outdated expectations that leave men feeling isolated and unable to seek support. We exist to shatter that silence and build a new paradigm – one of connection, practical empowerment, and unwavering support.

We're a brand new start-up on a mission to get launched and registered as a full UK Charity.

Our Board of Trustees are the unwavering guardians of MINDSET Charity's mission, purpose, and values. This collective of committed individuals provides the essential governance, strategic oversight, and ethical leadership that ensures our charity remains true to its cause and delivers profound impact for men across the UK. Becoming a Trustee is a deeply rewarding commitment to shaping a legacy of hope and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Governance & Oversight: As a Trustee, you'll contribute to setting Mindset's long-term strategic direction, reviewing performance, and ensuring the charity remains focused on its charitable objectives.

  • Legal & Ethical Compliance: You'll safeguard Mindset's reputation and integrity by ensuring strict adherence to charity law, regulatory requirements, and the highest ethical standards.

  • Financial Stewardship: You'll oversee the responsible management of Mindset's financial assets, ensuring accountability, transparency, and the sustainable use of funds to maximise our impact.

  • Executive Accountability: The Board holds the CEO and COO accountable for the effective and efficient running of the charity, providing constructive challenge and support.

  • Advocacy & Representation: Trustees act as ambassadors for Mindset, using their influence and networks to raise awareness, build support, and champion our cause.

  • Safeguarding our Beneficiaries: You'll ensure robust safeguarding policies are in place and adhered to, protecting the well-being of every man who engages with Mindset.
