This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding LifeSkills Intensive team. You will offer supervision and management oversight to support workers primarily in your geographical area. You will be able to retain your practice experience and hold a small caseload and will be part of a wider supportive LifeSkills team.
LifeSkills supports individuals and families to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. LifeSkills Intensive provides 1-1 support to those that are furthest away from employment, education and training. This service is funded by our corporate partnership with Barclays.
Main Responsibilities:
· To line management and supervise support workers in a specific geographical areas as well as an online offer.
· Support with the management of referrals into the service, both in terms of service promotion and also decision making /allocation.
· To oversee and develop the service offer and ensure that this is having a positive impact.
· To hold a small caseload.

· Experience of supervising, coaching ,mentoring or supporting practitioners
· A sound understanding of safeguarding issues.
· Strong communication skills and aptitude for building relationships

The postholder will provide advice, guidance and coaching to parents and carers of children aged 8-18 years to help them to develop new awareness and skills to enhance their support to their children through a combination of group-work and one-to-one sessions.
As part of the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, The Eikon Charity provides a wide range of emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children & young people. Through this work we have seen how challenging parents and carers can find supporting their children’s emotional wellbeing difficulties, particularly where they have Neurodivergent needs.
Supported by new funding streams, we are delighted to be recruiting to this new role of Family Wellbeing Practitioner with Neurodevelopmental Specialism, to be a key practitioner within our Family Wellbeing Service. As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, working as part of a team to undertake assessments and deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including EBSNA support, with a focus on support for families with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Responsibilities
- To assess the needs and strengths of the parents/carers referred into the service and help them identify and implement strategies that will support them, help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change
- Deliver bespoke programmes of support, to parents/carers of children and young people diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or ADHD. This could take the form of time limited 1:1 or group sessions or a blended approach depending on the needs presenting themselves
- To support the creation and development of and deliver workshops and presentations for small parent/carer groups covering a range of emotional wellbeing and mental health topics relevant to children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions
- Record and review parent/carer goals using the Goal-Based Outcomes tool and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- To involve parents/carers in the co-design of group work and ensure that the service responds to user voice and meets the needs identified
- To take responsibility for own caseload of parents/carers, some with complex and multiple needs
- To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with parents/carers to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated
- To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions
- To identify a range of specialist services and agencies who can offer further support for parents and families
- To work collaboratively with other Eikon delivery teams in delivering interventions for children, young people and families
- To promote the service within The Eikon Charity and with statutory and voluntary sector partners across the region – this might include presentations at networking events and production of promotional material
- To assist with the development and progression of the Family Wellbeing Service by adhering to all communication requests and assisting with peer progression development when requested through case supervision

The Resource Futures Education Team has worked over the past 17 years in developing and delivering high quality Education for Sustainable Development programmes, specialising in waste issues.
Your role will be part of the education team in Devon who enable schools and young people to develop more sustainable practices and lifestyles, specifically within the areas of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting.
Our ideal candidate will live in or around the East Devon / Exeter / Teignbridge area, where the majority of delivery will take place, with some home working. For the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of hours you deliver on a short-term basis, dependent on funding opportunities.
What you will be doing
· Develop and deliver high quality education programmes in schools on the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle - and composting, to include:
o Leading workshops, assemblies and waste audits.
o Advising school staff (including senior staff, cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff and other non-teaching staff) on educational and practical waste issues.
o Support or lead school visits to waste management facilities such as recycling centres and energy from waste (EfW) plants.
· Recruit schools to the programme and ensure bookings, administration and preparation are undertaken to a high standard.
· Develop new learning and teaching materials to support the programme, including physical and e-resources.
· Create and maintain effective relationships with Devon County Council, district councils and other relevant organisations.
· Assist schools in the practicalities of setting up and maintaining their recycling and composting systems, in liaison with district councils.
· Work in partnership with Devon County Council to run events, competitions and teacher training courses.
· Develop effective and supportive relationships with primary, secondary and special schools across the Devon area.
· Keep accurate records of work, including data on schools visited and waste audit results.
· Monitor and evaluate the programme, including contribution towards the written annual report.
· Liaise with other Resource Futures colleagues on project tasks, such as publicity and promotion.
· Contribute to the Recycle Devon and Zone websites, School Sustainability Bulletin and social media where required.
· Help schools to access resources to write and implement climate action plans.
· Keep abreast of new developments and ideas in education, particularly education for sustainable development.
· Represent Resource Futures at external meetings.
· Identify opportunities for business development.
· Any other tasks as deemed appropriate to this post.

The essentials
· Previous experience working in or with primary schools, or experience or training in a relevant subject or area.

By leading our academic representation system and supporting student-led campaigns, this role ensures that our members have real influence in decisions that affect them. It champions student voice, nurtures future leaders, and strengthens the connection between students and the University —ultimately creating a more responsive, inclusive, and empowering student experience.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
Campaign Co-ordination
1. To lead and facilitate the Union’s campaigning portfolio.
2. Coordinate and develop the training, tools, and resources to support the officers with the planning and delivery of impactful campaigns.
3. Support officers to ensure their campaign objectives are effectively set delivered and align with the Union’s wider strategy.
4. Support other staff and departments in the Union to deliver on campaigns as instructed by your line manager
5. Work with the Union’s Communications and Events teams to develop a year-round strategy that promotes campaigns to students and external partners.
6. Support officers in capturing the student voice and turning it into effective, action-led campaigns.
Academic Representation Coordination
1. Lead on the recruitment of Academic Course Representatives and Senior Academic Representatives.
2. Oversee and develop the academic representation systems, procedures and databases ensuring that all records are accurate.
3. Develop, deliver and review a comprehensive training programme for Academic Course Reps and Senior Academic Representatives.
4. Oversee the academic representation feedback and communication channels.
5. Coordinate the Academic Course Rep and Senior Rep reward and recognition programme.
6. Create annual reports reviewing the performance and impact of the Student Rep system and identify areas for further development.
7. Plan and coordinate key rep-related events including Student Led Awards, Rep, Congress Meetings, and rep celebration events.

1. Develop and deliver training sessions that equip elected representatives and student groups with the skills to effectively campaign for change.
2. Prepare comprehensive reports assessing the impact of campaigns and propose strategies for future improvements.
