Purpose - what you will be achieving

The Programme Officer will be responsible for the administration and delivery of the Academy’s women in research programmes, including working collaboratively with external consultants that will facilitate the delivery of mentoring training and career development workshops. The role provides an opportunity for a person passionate about supporting the next generation of researchers to be involved in the delivery of our unique portfolio of programmes.

In addition, staff are encouraged to take part in cross-team projects, for example in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in our activities and to contribute to initiatives such as staff learning lunches and networking opportunities.

The Academy is an outward-facing organisation and as Programme Officer at the Academy you will have the opportunity to engage with a range of stakeholders including Fellows and senior academics, professional organisations and researchers.

About the role - what you will be doing

• Administration and delivery of the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN – women in leadership programmes
• Shared organisation and delivery of a variety of online and in-person workshops and events for the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes, with individual responsibility for developing and delivering specific events within the programme
• Working with professional consultants, who will assist in the development of the Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes and facilitate mentoring training and career development workshops
• Supporting mentees and mentors during the pairing process by monitoring the Academy’s mentoring portal and CRM system, managing the mentoring inbox queries and providing accurate and frequent reporting on mentoring uptake via the CRM’s reporting tools
• Liaising with the Business information team to raise programme areas that rely on CRM support and require improvements

Role Overview and Main Responsibilities

One of the main areas of this role is to improve the Digital Marketing systems of the college. This involves managing multiple projects and supervising other team members within their roles. The postholder will also work alongside the CEO to develop and implement a new marketing strategy to enable ANCC to achieve its vision and mission globally. This will include shaping the Marketing and Communications team to support the stakeholder journey for students, partners and donors.

• Enhancing the digital systems of the college for the purposes of marketing

· Generating leads for new applicants, students, partners and donations to the college, optimising our efficiency, and maximising opportunities for engagement.

• Manage the website development project which includes the improvement of the college website for marketing purposes, and improving the User Experience (UXP) ensuring that it is optimised for search engines
• Manage team members for the maintenance and development of the college’s website, SEO, user journey experience, and website assets
• Support and collaborate with the Social Media officer to ensure digital marketing across our platforms, including LinkedIn for digital community engagement.

• Developing a digital marketing campaigns calendar and system for use within the team including the implementation of campaign briefs and tracking of campaigns across ANCC products

Leadership & Team Management

· Work closely with the CEO to deliver the organisation’s strategic plan, focusing on sustainable growth, financial health, and operational excellence.

· Work with the Presidents to grow funding and pro-bono support to scale organisational capacity for impact.

Communications & Brand

Action Tutoring is the largest tutoring charity in the country. At the heart of our work is closing the attainment gap for pupils facing disadvantage in the UK by harnessing the power of tutoring. We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Interim Chief Executive Officer (maternity cover) to lead our growing charity, ensuring the charity continues to achieve benchmark-beating results for the pupils we support. In 2025-26, our work will reach 7,000 pupils supported by more than 80 staff and 2,500 volunteer tutors.  This role would suit someone with experience of interim senior leadership roles, wanting to make a difference in an area with proven impact on outcomes for children and young people.
