The Programme Manager role will report to the Senior Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for project managing a number of our services. You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will lead and support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from initiation through to evaluation and review, that will directly contribute to the company’s growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Manager will also be a key member of the department and contribute to, departmental strategies, systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme management to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Communications and Marketing, Business Development and Finance teams.

Project Manager

Salary: £25,200p.a. pro-rata (£31,500p.a. FTE) Wigan office or remoted based

£26,800p.a. pro-rata (£33,500p.a. FTE) London office based

We also offer 27 days of annual leave (pro-rated for hours worked) plus bank holidays and a birthday day off, 8% employer pension contributions, a core hours system of working and enhanced family friendly policies.

Contract: Fixed term until 31 December 2024 with the potential for extension.

Keep Britain Tidy has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the Chewing Gum Task Force programme. The Chewing Gum Task Force is a partnership between Defra, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland, Scottish Government and Welsh Government and chewing gum producers including Mars Wrigley and Perfetti Van Melle which aims to clean up historic gum staining from UK high streets and change behaviour so that more people bin their gum.

The Project Manager will lead on overall administration of the scheme and manage the cleansing grant programme for councils, working alongside partner organisation Behaviour Change. In Years 1 and 2 of the scheme, participating councils have seen reductions in gum littering of up to 80% in the first two months. Now in Year 3, we will shortly distribute more than £1.2m funding to councils across the UK.

This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management, ideally in environmental projects and/or grant schemes. Excellent organisational and record keeping skills are a must, along with the ability to form good working relationships with Chewing Gum Task Force stakeholders.

You will support the implementation of a digital programme plan to carry out the development and refresh of several digital products and platforms in line with user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, digital agencies and platform providers to ensure that developments meet quality standards around design, usability, user experience and accessibility, ensuring excellent experiences for our audiences. You will help co-ordinate tasks and resources and track project progress, contribute to user acceptance testing and content audits and updates. You will also be a confident advocate for UX best practice and building brand awareness.

An experienced digital professional, you may have worked for a charity or digital agency before in a similar role. You will be motivated by delivering high quality digital products and will be familiar with a range of digital channels and platforms. The Head of Project Development is a new and pivotal role within the organisation that will bridge the gap between our fundraising efforts and the development and implementation of projects. We are seeking a Programme and Projects Manager to join a fantastic team at the only environmental charity dedicated to looking after the Aire and its tributaries.

Our programme supporting Higher Technical Education has big ambitions. Known as the ‘missing middle’ of higher education in England, we want to see the declines in level 4 and 5 technical education reversed and more providers emerge who can offer high-quality education and training to help people access highskilled occupations. Key to this transformation is the role of Institutes of Technology (IoTs) – collaborations between further education colleges, universities and employers – and we have been working closely with the National Network of Institutes of Technology to support their success. This role sits within the small Higher Education Team at Gatsby, and you will work closely with the Project Manager and Director of Programmes to: develop and deliver a range of projects to support our programme objectives; represent Gatsby at external meetings; organise meetings and events; and develop strong working relationships with key partners.

Volunteering Strategic Project Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of the UK-wide Volunteering Team, where you will play a critical role to lead on delivering strategic priority projects. 

As the Volunteering Strategic Project Manager you will line manage the England Volunteering Development Officers, lead on the strategic oversight for volunteering across England, and work collaboratively across the team to ensure volunteering is impact-led, embeds equity, diversity, and inclusion, and meets the needs of the organisation as well as the local community.

Contributing to the five-year volunteering strategy, you will ensure continued growth and impact across our successful IT and Digital transformations.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

Resource Futures’ roots are in community impact and our community projects inspire individuals and communities to act on climate issues. The projects we deliver are many and varied, and all enable people to play their part in reducing waste and living more circular lives. In addition to strong outcomes related to sustainability, these projects build local connections and improve community resilience.

This is a new role, and you will be joining the team at an exciting point in its development, as we consider how we evolve the work. You will work closely with our Community Impact Lead to support both the delivery and the development of our community work. The Community Impact work at Resource Futures is an important part of our business; it captures a number of long-term projects which are at the heart of our company. These include Community RePaint, Community Action Groups Devon, Community Action Groups Somerset, the Fixy project, the Gloucestershire Real Nappy Project and more.

We are looking to build on our strengths and track record of delivering quality, impactful community projects. We therefore have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Community Impact team.

What you will be doing

• Project delivery: Getting involved in project delivery, such as foundational research for project development and delivering workshops.
• Project management: Overseeing the effective delivery of projects, including reporting, and supporting the planning and set up of new projects as they come online.
• Innovation and Development: Supporting us to improve and expand our projects and programmes. You will also assist in identifying new projects or funding opportunities and contribute to the preparation of funding proposals. This may involve exploring options for the governance structure of this area of work.
• Marketing and communications: Promoting our projects, developing our external communications and acting as an ambassador for our community work.
• Monitoring and evaluation: We are on a journey to better capture the impact of specific projects, and the impact that our community work has collectively. You will take an active role in supporting this element of our work.
• Partnership working: Collaboration is key to our approach. You will liaise with existing clients and partners for project delivery, develop new partnerships to further our aims and also take part in key networking and external events.
• Team development: You will work closely with the Community Impact Lead to contribute to the development of the team, during our team meetings and away days. You will be comfortable managing staff, teams and subcontractors to deliver desired outcomes.
• Day-to-day operations: Working closely with the Community Impact Lead, HR and Finance, to support our remote project teams, problem solve issues as they arise, develop our internal systems and processes, maximise efficiencies and drive improvements.
