Philanthropy Officer - Trust
 

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Philanthropy Officer role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile appeal, managing trust and foundation relationships to secure vital donations and support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to secure donations from trusts, foundations, and City Livery Companies.
• Prepare and submit compelling funding applications aligned with funder guidelines and organisational needs.
• Manage reporting obligations by drafting reports that showcase project impacts and meet funder expectations.
• Maintain strong relationships with supporters through meetings, visits, and networking events, including helipad visits.
• Organise scheduled mailings for small trusts, ensuring deadlines and templates are consistently met.
• Update and maintain accurate records of income and activity within the organisation’s CRM system.
• Support the implementation and testing of the new CRM system, embedding it within team processes.
• Assist with donor stewardship activities to foster ongoing support, especially for key partnerships.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in trust fundraising with a track record in securing new relationships and donations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with an ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong written skills, capable of creating engaging proposals and reports.
• High levels of customer service in supporter engagement.
• Proficient in MS Office, mail merge, and data management within CRM systems.
• Sound understanding of budget management and financial accounts related to charitable work.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: £35,000 - £41,000
• Location: Hybrid – London
• Contract: 12-month FTC
