We help British people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need resettlement services, and we also support their family throughout the trauma. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fundraising and communications team in a varied role supporting our fundraising efforts to ensure an integrated approach to generating income and supporter stewardship. 

You will have some experience in an administrative or coordinator role, ideally within a fundraising or supporter‑focused environment, and a good understanding of how a busy team operates. You will be organised, detail‑oriented and keen to learn, with strong communication skills and a flexible approach to supporting evolving fundraising priorities.

With an eye for detail, you will be confident using a database and interested in developing your skills further with support from the team. You will be the first point of contact for supporter queries and will lead on the processing and reconciliation of income. You will also support our major donor fundraising and provide essential administrative support to the wider fundraising team.

The post holder will be based in our Maggie’s West London centre and will be required to travel on a weekly basis between our three London centres- Maggie’s West London, Barts and Royal Free. 

As an integral member of the Fundraising Team, the London Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the three centres, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s. 

As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.  

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent travel in the London area.

As the Hospice develops our community engagement and supporter base, we are looking for an ambitious Supporter Development Manager to help build sustainable income and partnership relationships to support the Hospice into the future.

This is a key role within the Income Generation team.  You will take ownership of a defined geographical area across South Warwickshire and become the Hospice’s visible ambassador, focused on building sustainable support pipelines across communities, businesses and individuals.  You will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation team, including retail, to support events, campaigns and supporter engagement to maximise opportunities and build joined-up supporter journeys.

You will be a confident relationship-builder, with experience of developing fundraising or partnership opportunities across local communities.  Your work will help ensure that more families across South Warwickshire can access compassionate hospice care when they need it most.

The Shakespeare Hospice provides compassionate care and support to people across South Warwickshire facing life-limiting illness.  Every year, our services support hundreds of people through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and bereavement. 

About The Role

As Individual Giving & Supporter Care Manager at Place2Be (within a Fundraising Team of 27), you will play a significant part in the Individual Giving and Philanthropy & Special Events team, in a busy and varied role. The Individual Giving and Supporter Care team consists of the Individual & Supporter Care Manager, a Supporter Care Officer and an Income Processing Assistant, and sits alongside the Philanthropy and Special Events team under the leadership of the Deputy Director of Fundraising. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Individual Giving & Supporter Care Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Individual Giving & Supporter Care programme, to include 2-3 appeals each year, delivery of our annual supporter magazine, legacy and in-memory income, income processing and ensuring that our supporters are being looked after in the best possible way.

This role is pivotal in engaging supporters, raising vital income and enhancing our organisation’s profile through exceptional communications. You will work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications, Finance and Operations to deliver strategic, creative and impactful communications that inspire and connect with our supporters and the general public. With a strong understanding of donor engagement, acquisition and retention, you will drive income growth through this programme.

Duties and key responsibilities

Fundraising Support

• Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.
• Support challenge event fundraising by stewarding fundraisers, providing logistical support and administrative duties.
• Support the delivery of community campaigns, concentrating on the innovative fundraising elements, and providing stewardship to fundraisers.
• Support the planning and delivery of campaigns and special events and provide on the day support.
• Provide research support across the whole fundraising team, which may include researching corporates, trusts and foundations and community fundraising opportunities.
• Keep up to date with the work of the charity and communicate this to supporters in a compelling manner.
• Represent Sarcoma UK at events as required.

 Administrative Support

• Monitor the fundraising section on Sarcoma UK’s website, ensuring all fundraising pages are kept up to date and relevant.
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
• Work with the database and fundraising teams to evaluate and analyse fundraising activities. 
• Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general office and digital administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.

 Stock and Online Shop

• Monitor Sarcoma UK’s online shop, and ecommerce platform. Ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
• Assist with maintaining external storage unit and keeping records of the contents.
• Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Research and create new merchandise and fundraising materials, keeping up to date with new trends and ensure offering is fresh and innovative.

Other

• Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• To undertake all duties in line with the Sarcoma UKs policies, procedures and regulations ensuring that the work.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

The Senior Fundraising Executive (Grants) leads on bid-writing and relationship building with grantmakers (Trusts/Foundations/Public). The candidate will be a key player in the Grants team alongside the Director of Development (Grants/Major Gifts) and Development Officer. Create has seen its fundraising increase significantly in recent years, as it fulfils its ambitious plans to double its reach by its 25th anniversary in 2028. The Grants team is responsible for securing over 50% of the charity’s income, managing an extensive portfolio of T/F/Public funders, approaching a well-researched pipeline of potential funders, and researching prospects. The successful candidate will share Create’s commitment to the transformative power of the creative arts within community settings, with exceptional written and verbal communication, research, organisational and IT skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Description 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Fundraising to lead and further develop our fundraising activity at a pivotal time for the Cathedral. This is a strategic and hands on role, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Team to secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the Cathedral’s mission, ministry and buildings. 

You will take the lead on generating fundraising income, primarily through trusts and foundations, while also developing appeals, legacy giving, regular giving and new fundraising income streams. You will build on the strong foundations already in place, bringing creativity, rigour and collaboration to everything you do. 

The role 

As Head of Fundraising, you will: 

• Lead relationships with trusts and foundations, identifying opportunities, writing compelling applications and managing reporting and compliance 

• Drive major fundraising bids to support the Cathedral’s Estates Masterplan and strategic priorities 

• Develop and deliver fundraising appeals and pilot new initiatives to diversify income 

• Grow legacy and regular giving, building a sustainable pipeline of long-term supporters 

• Lead supporter care, engagement and fundraising events 

• Oversee fundraising communications and profile raising activity 

• Work collaboratively across the Cathedral to develop fundable projects and shared ownership of fundraising 

• Manage the fundraising budget and report progress to the Senior Management Team and Finance Committee 

• Act as Line Manager for the Development Officer

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for leading our community fundraising programme, by generating income through the fundraising activities of individuals and community groups. Job Description

As a senior member of the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (BWHC) Fundraising & Marketing team, your main objective is to lead the development and management of our community fundraising programme to maximise income to meet annual targets.

You will play a vital role in stewarding effective relationships to maximise support from our existing supporters and crucially, for driving new donor acquisition to ensure the sustainability of our work.  Developing our community fundraising programme is essential to our income base and profile. Central to our work is supporting our volunteer fundraisers, driving participant numbers for challenge events, recruiting and engaging volunteers to help raise awareness of the impact of our hospitals across Bristol and Weston. Crucially, delivering on our 2025-2030 strategy alongside the rest of the Fundraising and Marketing team will be a key part of your role.

Supported by the Head Public Fundraising, you will develop strategic and operational plans and budgets for your operational area to meet growth targets and you will ensure to focus on the objective of focusing on current and lapsed supporters.

Key Accountabilities

Community & Events Fundraising

• To maximise fundraising income by managing and delivering overall recruitment and stewardship of fundraising groups, individual supporters (including in memory fundraisers and funeral collections), ambassadors and volunteers
• To develop and manage the team, empowering them to deliver the BWHC ‘In Aid of’ strategic plan, focussing on expanding the network of supporters who fundraise for and are happy to represent BWHC externally
• To develop, manage and deliver the BWHC Community Group plan, focusing on acquisition of new supporters and development of our retention plan
• To raise income and profile through the development, management, promotion of a portfolio of events (BWHC events, third party events and In Aid of events), ensuring maximum participation
• To develop and manage the team to deliver stewardship of in memory fundraisers and income from funeral collection
• To work with the Hospital Partnership Manager to develop a strategic approach to increase levels of hospital staff fundraising
• To manage and develop BWHC’s trading offer, including overall management of the physical Fundraising Hub and development of online shop
• To ensure exceptional, personalised but proportionate donor stewardship including continued development of product led stewardship e.g. in celebration
• To oversee the recruitment, training, stewardship and management of volunteers to provide support across the charity
• To work with the Brand & Marketing Team to create and deliver a media programme to maximise participation in BWHC activity
• Supported by the Head of Public Fundraising, to work with the IG & Legacy Manager and Supporter Experience, Data & Insight Team in particular to define, develop and deliver cross-portfolio supporter journeys and consistent supporter care.
   

Leadership & Management

• To provide strong leadership and management to the Community Partnerships & Events Fundraising Officer, Community Partnerships & Event Assistant and Volunteer Officer to ensure they are encouraged and motivated to perform at their best, fulfil their role and achieve agreed targets/KPI’s.

Strategy and Planning

• Contribute to the development and review of Fundraising & Marketing strategy.  
• Accountability for Community Fundraising plan and maximising long-term growth in this area
• Develop, implement and monitor annual operational plans, budgets and income forecasting, and ensure internal reporting is completed
• Ongoing evaluation of activity to ensure maximised return on investment

Key Responsibilities:

Community Fundraising & Income Generation

• Proactively develop, manage and grow a portfolio of community supporters, groups, schools, businesses and individuals across the London region
• Work with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, taking a creative and proactive approach to growing income and engagement
• Support and motivate fundraisers to achieve their goals, providing excellent stewardship and a positive supporter experience
• Work towards agreed income and activity targets, monitoring progress and adapting plans as needed

Relationship Building & Engagement

• Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing supporters, acting as a passionate ambassador for the charity
• Develop trusted relationships with our families, support them with their fundraising, and signpost them to other ways they can support the charity
• Build strong, effective working relationships with House teams across London, working closely together to ensure families’ best interests are at the heart of what we do and to maximise opportunities for income and engagement
• Build effective working relationships with the House teams across London
• Represent Ronald McDonald House Charities UK at events, meetings and fundraising activities across London, delivering presentations and ensuring we maximise PR opportunities
• Deliver clear, compelling messages about the charity’s impact, inspiring supporters to get involved

Working with others

• Interact with families supported by the charity in a sensitive, compassionate and appropriate manner, respecting confidentiality as needed
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Engagement, Family Services, and other teams to maximise impact
• Contribute ideas, insight and learning to support continuous improvement across the Engagement Directorate

Planning, Events & Administration

• Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring fundraising activity is well planned and cost-effective
• Maintain accurate records on the CRM database, including supporter interactions, income and activity reporting
• Produce regular reports on activity, income and KPIs against targets

Person Specification:

Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrable experience of achieving or exceeding six figure targets in a relationship‑led fundraising role
• Experience of working in a customer-facing, supporter-facing or community-facing role, building and managing positive relationships with a diverse range of people and groups
• Experience of developing and delivering plans and budgets, monitoring progress and reporting against objectives and financial targets
• Experience of using a database or CRM system to carry out day-to-day administrative and reporting duties
• Experience of organising events, campaigns or community activities
• Experience of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to positively persuade, motivate and inspire a wide range of audiences and stakeholders
• Confident in setting up, attending and following up meetings to secure engagement and support
• Confident in creating and delivering presentations in a range of settings
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and confidence using a CRM database
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within agreed budgets and timeframes
• Self-starter, with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage own workload
• A collaborative, kind and adaptable approach when working with colleagues, supporters, volunteers and families
• Able to interact with families in a sensitive, compassionate and appropriate manner, recognising the emotional context of their experiences
• Willingness and ability to work outside of normal working hour (evenings and weekends) travel across the wider UK as required

As our Senior Digital Marketing Officer you will be responsible for boosting our income through online engagement, marketing and stewardship. The role includes responsibility for delivering paid advertising across various platforms (currently META, PPC, Reddit and TikTok) driving income through direct gifts, challenge event participation and other income generation activities.

Writing, designing and delivering our supporter emails, and overall supporter journeys, is also a key component of the role, boosting digital engagement with a view to driving additional income over time.

When it comes to this work, you'll be our lead for this area internally but you'll also have the support of our digital agency, who we maintain a close working relationship with, the wider fundraising team and the organisation as a whole. You will also benefit from several years of testing, insight gathering and proven results to build upon.

No formal qualifications are needed and charity sector experience is not a requirement. We encourage everyone with the appropriate skills, experience and potential to apply.
