Job description

Children's Mental Health Charity Seeks Fundraising Manager - either experienced or with transferrable skills

We are looking for:

Fundraising expertise – ideally you will have experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies and securing a high level of funds from a range of sources including grant funders and corporates.  However, we are open to candidates who can demonstrate that they have transferable skills from other backgrounds and can show that they can quickly adapt to different environments and sectors. We would be willing to offer external training in fundraising as part of the salary package to the right candidate, as well as inhouse support and training.

Communications – you will need to demonstrate examples of excellent written skills, good IT and social media skills and good administration generally.

Relationship development – good interpersonal skills and experience of working with diverse range of complex stakeholders and partnerships are key.

Project management – you will have great organisational skills and have experience of managing projects from inception to evaluation and working autonomously.

Strategic thinking – you will be comfortable thinking outside of the box and can co-create the fundraising strategy as well as contribute to the business planning process.

Flexibility – working in a small team with tight resources you will need to be comfortable helping out with getting things done but in return you will get flexible working arrangements and independence.

Positive and solution-focussed – you will be a problem solver, able to find practical and constructive solutions to challenges that arise in the course of your work.

The cause – you will be passionate about our vision to support the mental health of children, young people and families, committed to supporting diversity and inclusion in the voluntary sector, and be aware of the issues affecting small charities.
