Job Purpose

This role sits within our new Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.

This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.

The Men’s Minds Project Coordinator will work closely with the members in shaping the service and ensuring voices of men in Hounslow are heard and acted upon. This service will be staffed with 1 part-time (25hrs per week) Project Coordinator and a pool of peer led volunteers. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the volunteers.

The Role

The role of the Men’s Minds Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, and peer-led workshops which will be delivered weekly. With the addition of attending various community and stakeholder events to deliver the outreach strand of the service.

The role will require hybrid and flexible working: onsite for all the peer/psychoeducation sessions but the with expectation to be attending various community events and services to promote the service.

South East London Mind is working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Bridge Support to deliver the Greenwich Mental Health Hub.  This will form part of the new transformation of mental health services in the Royal Borough of Greenwich under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service will bring together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic, and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

Unpaid carers in our communities are supporting relatives, friends and neighbours, often with limited or no support, to live the best lives they can.  The support of people with dementia, learning or physical disabilities, mental health difficulties or substance misuse problems by unpaid carers has been estimated to save the government close to the equivalent expenditure for the whole NHS.

We are looking for a Mental Health Carers Advisor who possesses an understanding of the challenges of unpaid caring and whose experience of working within mental health services includes support, prevention, recovery, and self-management. Applicants should possess effective skills in communication and have experience of completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and to show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will involve:

• Management of a diverse client caseload
• Providing recovery-orientated individual and group-based support to carers of adults with mental health problems

• Undertaking holistic needs and risk assessments

Assessment and Reconnection Worker - Rough Sleeping Services

As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:

You will promote social inclusion, encourage independence and development of personal resilience.  You will build up support network for women, promoting and enabling engagement with other services.

Relevant experience and direct work within specialist support services to women/families with multiple needs. Case work experience, providing proactive and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse and provide the support to enable them to recover and rebuild their lives. Relevant experience around working multi agency and being proactive in relation to multi agency working, with a professional manner.

Betknowmore UK is collaborating with partner organisations to work as part of a wider team, on the delivery of the Armed Forces Gambling Harms Support Network (AFGHSN). The work will include the provision of training and gambling awareness activities, helping to raise and address the subject of harmful gambling. Working and engaging with armed forces support and personnel services, individuals harmed by gambling, their wider network, stakeholders, and other relevant groups within the veteran and active armed forces communities, the aim is to create trained personnel able to support the work of the AFGHSN.​

A key aspect of the role will be working with individuals experiencing gambling harms, requiring an empathetic and compassionate approach and awareness of the complex issues being addressed. A robust management of safeguarding and safe working practices is essential.​

It is essential that you are based within one hour travelling time of London, as extensive travel to London and the UK is expected.

Role Purpose

An armed forces veteran or someone closely involved with the armed forces (a family member for example), the post holder will also have a unique insight on gambling harms, and their impact on health and wellbeing specifically within the military.

The Armed Forces Peer Aid Coordinator will initially prioritise engaging with veterans and military organisations to deliver the AFGHSN training programme, along with gambling awareness activities. The purpose is to upskill key armed forces personnel and those in connected communities, enabling and enhancing their knowledge, skills and confidence to address gambling harms. ​

The second key responsibility is to recruit, train and support Peer Supporters to deliver safe, effective support for individuals and their networks that have been harmed by gambling. It is expected that Peer Supporters will be individuals with ‘lived experience’ of gambling harm themselves or as an ‘affected other’.​

The post holder will work with the Head of Peer Support Services to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are strictly adhered to, and a clear understanding established of how the service integrates with other support and treatment networks.​

The AFGHSN Peer Aid team will ensure that the support and working relationships are safe and secure, and the health and wellbeing of all participants is intact. Peer Support will be in a befriending capacity and should be provided with a considered and transparent approach. Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.​

South East London Mind and Bridge Support are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Greenwich Mental Health Hub.  This will form part of the new transformation of mental health services in the Royal Borough of Greenwich under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service will bring together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

The integrated team will provide support to people with long-term mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services. Applicants should have strong line management skills alongside experience of completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload, working in a busy work environment, and possess effective skills in communication. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will involve:

• Line management of key project staff

We need someone like you to join the team at our Hammersmith & Fulham Employment Service. We support people living with mental health problems to develop a sense of independence, purpose and fulfilment; to develop their social networks and gain the skills they need to return to work or training where this is their goal. But we need your help. Your challenge? We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment, or unpaid voluntary work, plus we assist employers and employees to successfully resolve mental health problems in the workplace.

You will support the delivery of our Employment Service which will see you focus on motivating, supporting and providing person-centred advice and guidance to people receiving support to enable them to move into suitable and sustainable work.

As well as a good understanding of people with mental health problems, you have experience of networking/liaising with local employers and the initiative to develop and promote a service. Excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills are essential too, as is a willingness to travel in the local area and occasionally work outside of office hours. Customer focused, well organised and collaborative in approach, you are a great administrator and pride yourself on your word processing skills and ability to keep accurate computer records/use a database. This is a full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. About the role

This new and exciting role is part of CouRAGEus, a unique pan-London project established to provide specialist advocacy, counselling, resilience and prevention programs for black and minoritised young women and girls (YWG) experiencing gendered violence, mental health and/or multiple disadvantage. 

About you 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and dynamic individual with an in-depth understanding of the specific needs of minoritised and multiple disadvantaged YWG with experiences of gendered violence. You will have experience of working with YWG’s with high-risk presentations, including self-injury and suicidal risk and adept at providing crises support and more in-depth work that cultivates self-protective factors as well as meaningful interventions and strategies that aim to reduce and mitigate risk. 

You will deliver holistic, YWG’s centred, individualised care pathways that are gender informed, trauma focused and aimed at addressing multiple areas of disadvantage including mental health challenges, problematic substance use and homelessness. You will be well versed in advocating on behalf of YWG to multi-agency services to ensure support, protection and choice for the YWG’s you represent. In this role, the Advocate will also develop relationships with local communities and professionals with an aim to raise awareness about sexual violence, improve communities and professionals’ responses as well as to improve access to services for survivors. This work will be carried out through one to one advocacy sessions, workshops, trainings, consultations and other means.
