Job description

We are opening a brand new service Redds Place; for young people who are homeless with support needs. Its a short stay and assessment centre for 12 people. You need a balance of person centred support as well as empathy and understanding that all young people negative behaviours are symptoms of trauma. The role involves assessment, support, engagament, rapport building and housing management in equal measures.

We are looking for people with positive attitudes and a real desire to help young people, not write them off after 3 strikes. Young people make mistakes and we want them to learn about choice and consequences. The salary starts at £24,636 – £28,820 (for average 42 hour week) increments subject to successful annual appraisals. The job is part of an 8 week rolling rota which covers day time and evenings 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The rota is 4 on 4 off.
